Fun fact: Nova Scotia gives Boston its Christmas tree every year. Boston aided Halifax after the explosion in the harbor. Thank you from Massachusetts. Special friendship.🇺🇲🇨🇦🕯🙏
Fun fact: the Halifax explosion was the largest ever man made explosion before the atomic bombs, they learned that detonating the bombs above the ground in Japan would cause much more destructions based on the boat suspending the ammunition about the harbour floor in halifax when it detonated.
Ocean side beaches (surf, salt air, seaweed) have a quality to them one doesn't get on the Great Lakes. What I love about the ones in Nova Scotia is how long and wide many of them are .... and you're often the only people there. Last time I was in Mahone Bay it was Christmas and a foot deep in snow. I remember trudging along admiring the holiday lights at dusk then popping into this quaint little place on the water for some seafood chowder. Was a perfect day.
Fantastic videos. Your always tired because you do so much, and your busy with making creating the videos. Keep it up, A & K. We really like that it's fast-paced. You always get alot in the video! Andre
Wife and I spent a week on Cape Breton and a week on the Mainland in 2006 and loved it. We are from Ohio and we will be returning in a couple of years and bringing two friends with us this time--we are all retired so we will be taking our time seeing things we didn't see in 2006 because of time restraints. I love Nova Scotia and Cape Breton and watching videos of bloggers all day makes me want to pack up the SUV tomorrow and head north. This was a really great, beautiful informative video because we are looking at the South Shore around Lunenburg. Also on Cape Breton around the White Point area . In 2006 we stayed at Pleasant Bay as a base point.
That's awesome! Be sure to check out our website. We recently published a ton of Atlantic Canada content. Hopefully it helps with your planning! adventuresofaplusk.com/canada/
I thoroughly enjoyed the beach ... that was gorgeous! And I love the colourful village .... that was so sweet! I think Kejmkujik National Park seaside is my favourite and Lunenburg is becoming my favourite village to explore! Can't wait to see more adventures that are coming our way ... Gorgeous videography and photography!
Such a cool area with the colorful houses surrounded by the rocks, the beautiful lighthouse that was once a post office (how wild that was) and the cute coffee shop you went to! Great video!
I was lucky to grow up in Mahone Bay and my husband is a Lunenburger. I could see both his childhood home and grandmother's home in your latter pans of old town.
We love following all of your videos . So glad to see you enjoying The South Shore areas , not too far from where we live ( inland Windsor area ) God Bless you both and keep you safe wherever you go .
We are living in Herring Cove, Nova Scotia (from the UK) and we love it here. And we’ve almost travelled to every corner. We’ve literally just arrived back from a long weekend in Digby, Digby Neck and Brier Island where we did some whale watching. Hopefully you’ve managed to get to the west side too xx
Great Video guys I went to that area few years ago with my son while he was working in Halifax. After watching your video tonight my wife wants to go for a visit lol. Looking forward to that next trip you're taking now
Hello Adventurers 😎😎, and WOW! Peggy's Cove Lighthouse and those beautiful towns along the such as Mahone Bay, it's absolutely amazing. However, where is our Lobster Roll😊😊... You didn't share! I can't wait to see what's next 😎😎.
Unfortunately we won't be making one this year. We just don't have the bandwidth for it 😅. Polishing off the editing of our last few videos from Canada, catching up on content from 2022 for our website, and planning our upcoming international trip has kept us very busy! Thank you for watching!
Thanks again for a wonderful and informative video; you guys continue to do an awesome job. It’s after Thanksgiving, so I hope yours was good and you have a Merry Christmas!!
Sorry you missed the Fishermen's Memorial in Lunenburg. It's stunning the numbers lost from such a small area of our country. Too bad the Bluenose was shut down for the winter.
There is a VERY small fishing village just west of Lunenburg with a very BIG STORY. Shag Harbour is the home of a UFO crash that is well documented even by the government. It also involves the U.S. Air Force and a Russian submarine.
We have this guide on our website about how to do a 2 week Nova Scotia road trip. It lists lots of places to stay including campgrounds. Hope that helps! adventuresofaplusk.com/nova-scotia-road-trip-itinerary/
Rough seas ahead while he's facing aft?? LOL.... I'm not sure why the Bluenose II (a replica) is such a big draw when tied up just down the dock is the real deal, the Theresa E. Connor which was build in 1938 and actually fished the grand banks up to the early 1960s. Regardless, it's nice to see she's still in good condition and I hope to see her soon myself. Fun fact: the six round hatches on her deck are there to allow for servicing of the engine, there's one hatch for each of the 6 cylinders.
The quality of your videos underrated. Something for everyone in your videos. Suggestion: Would be great if you could create a video “highlights of Atlantic Canada” when everything said and done. No new content needed. Finally, Your videos one of the highlight of my week.
Thank you! That is a great idea! Unfortunately we don't have the time to put into it right now. The thing that many people don't realize is, yes the filming of the content takes time, but so does the behind the scenes. Often times it takes just as long or even longer. Thanks for watching!
@@AdventuresofAplusK I do considering the quality of your video, just something I would like to see one day in a distant future. Thinking about all the great content you have in North America being in all states and more than half Canadians provinces impressive.
No wonder you 2 hike so much. It's to burn off those calories. 😁. Another great video showing off my province. Where to next? Brier island for whale watching???
Take your time if you come. One week is not enough. There is much to see and do. July and August can be hot and humid. June is pleasant. September and October are beautiful with October being the most colourful but many attractions shut down from mid October onward as the tourist season ends. Try to do the Cabot Trail on Cape Breton Island if you come. The South Shore and the Annapolis Valley are beautiful. Halifax is worth a visit if you like smaller cities. The coastal routes are always scenic. The Bay of Fundy has the highest tides in the world where you can walk on the ocean floor at places like Burntcoat Head Park. The Atlantic coastal side had many inlets and bays on rocky shore with more pounding surf. The Northumberland Shore had the warmest waters north of the Carolinas as the water is more shaklow as the sand heats up at low tide, warming the waters there. If you like history and culture, the beauty of nature, seafood and friendly people, you will enjoy our province.

Some of their videos are more relaxing than others. But they all express excitement and awe at all of these beautiful places. If that's not your thing, there are other channels out there that may suit your preferences better.

You're outstanding 👏
Best travel videos on UA-cam.
Due to maps, history, nature, quaint towns, local food, shops, sunrise and sunsets.
I completely agree, consummate professionals but still down to earth feels like your traveling with friends. 😊
Thank you so much 😀❤️
You did those of us who live here proud! Thank you for showcasing my home so beautifully!
Thank you! ❤

Loved Nova Scotia and Peggy's Cove. Visited twice, 1978 and 1995.
I live on Canada's west coast and have never been to the east coast. So you have me beat. Hope to get there one day.

Hello from Halifax 😊 I came across your vlog from Germany, and discovered that you came here too! I’m glad you enjoyed your visit.
We had a wonderful time! Thanks and thanks for watching!
Glad you are enjoying Canada!
my first novel was set in Digby, Nova Scotia. Thanks for sharing. Safe travels!
Can’t wait to see where you will go next..enjoy these awesome, fun, interesting and educational videos
I love it there!
Thanks for the video. I have been to Peggy's Cove Lighthouse when on a cruise tour. I love Harvest Host, Boondockers Welcome and now the Camper Card.

If you are ever in Ontario, you must camp at Lake Superior Provincial Park, Agawa Bay. Landscape, water and sunsets are out of this world!
We are very excited to visit Ontario! Hopefully they will get rid of their pit bull restrictions some day!
I am excited for your annual "Best of" video! I am so curious what your biggest highlights have been in Canada ❤

That lobster roll looked delicious! "pumpkin fiesta!" lol. Love the bright colored houses!
Thanks again for a wonderful and informative video; you guys continue to do an awesome job. It’s after Thanksgiving, so I hope yours was good and you have a Merry Christmas!!
We had a great Thanksgiving! We hope you did as well. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
Got to put this on my bucket list!
I live in pubnico, nova scotia
Really enjoying all your videos. Thank you👏
Thank you! ❤️
Hope you travelled farther south to Carters Beach. Looks like beaches in the Caribbean
Yes we went. We just didn’t film it
You two are so cute, and your enthusiasm is boundless. You make me want to visit these places!
❤❤
thanks A+K
Wow so beautiful I miss it living in BC. TY SO MUCH
I love ship museums, in San Diego. They have a great one, the Maritime Museum of San Diego, it's awesome. Thank you for sharing!
Love the pumpkin moment!
Such a nice beach, love it ❤❤
Love your videos! How long did you spend in Nova Scotia in order to really experience this lovely country? Many Thanks!
early on this one! Happy work watching...

Great info on my country 🇨🇦 ❤
Love the south shore :)

Do you have anything on the campgrounds you stayed in? I know there's the ebook but I'm only interested in NS.

Too bad you didn't get a little more south on the south Shore to places more off the beaten path like Liverpool, Lockeport and Shelburne.
We would have loved to explored more, but after all we did this year already we did what we could with the time and energy we had 😊
Lockeport beaches are nicer ... Shelburne us very historical, in 1784 was larger than Halifax with 10,000 residents
I went on a carriage ride in Lunenburg. My favourite story is that lobster use to be considered poor food. They even fed it to prisoners.
How times change! Thanks for watching!
This is true. My father from Isle Madame, Cape Breton told me that kids who brought lobster to school for lunch were from the poorest families.
Lobster envy, yum!!!!
Rough seas ahead while he's facing aft?? LOL....

We’ve given some thought to some videos like that. They would be nice pieces of content to share! Thank you and thanks for watching!
Curious about why you don’t drink?
Mostly for health reasons. We just don't feel that we need it and it's very expensive
I’m sure someone has asked this but do you have to get permission to film in coffee shops or other areas? Just curious. Thanks! Love your adventures!
Hi! Great question! No, we don’t get permits or require them. Most businesses are excited for the exposure
Thanks and thanks for watching!
No wonder you 2 hike so much. It's to burn off those calories. 😁. Another great video showing off my province.
Where to next? Brier island for whale watching???
We hike to eat and eat to hike! 😊😂
I am happy to watch another Adventure today. I added some of my videos on my channel.
Coffee AFTER lobster? 🦞 breakfast?
What parts of N/S would you recommend for 1st timers.
Everything we did! 😊

As an FYI for anyone who doesn’t know, poutine is pronounced “poo-tin” not “poo-teen”.
How dog friendly is this area?
It’s pretty dog friendly, but ticks are notoriously bad in the area. So keep that in mind
I guess you learned not to kick water into the wind... ; - )
