Since then, many are not as muscled, not as fast, strong or have as much endurance. This breed used to be as built as the shorter hair Georgian shepherd. Not the case anymore. If they aren’t allowed to communicate naturally, and you punish it, they are only left with biting or attacking as a form of communication. And yes, I own a CO and have worked with hundreds of them, as well as many other working breeds.
I grew up where these dogs are natives and I've never seen one inside the house laying comfortably on a couch😅 These dogs are machines, but when they're not guarding anyone or anything they're just like any other dog, friendly or indifferent to anyone for the most part.

Yes these dogs are known for be8ng extremely aggressive and we’re bred to protect livestock form stuff like bears they are very protective and in Russia mainly used as guard dogs for things like prisons and was a breed of dog that also helped to guard the Berlin Wall they are nothing to mess with but if you raise them right from a younge age they can learn to be less aggressive and I mean a lot of training and who knows they can still attack or hurt other animals people cause they are just very protective (not only in Russia they are known I’m many near by conturys considering their name but they are just popular there and are nicknamed the russian bear dog so)

These dogs aren’t supposed to weigh 200lbs. It’s only occurring due to poor breeding. Males should only weigh 130-170lbs at the most. The larger dogs lose a lot of their agility and usefulness as a working dog. Think canine athlete, not sumo wrestler.

giant breed dogs I have been sharing more than 30 years of life with great Danes but I love all giant bred dogs really their big heads I truly love hugging and recently in the past year I’ve been reading all about the russian ovcharka and watching many videos I’ve researched and studied Dog since the early 80s when I got my first Doberman learning all about Large and giant breed dogs Ethan little ones I went to dog shows for many many years asking questions going to the library of course before there was Internet and still I love the feel of a book in my hand my father even gave me a nickname before he passed away he called me caninekathy I was the keeper of dogs he said a beautiful honor but I do believe that giant breed dogs I have found in my 61 years of life big big dogs they find they’re closest more to females than I’ve ever known you can see that he loves you and respects you a wonderful member to our families🐾 dogs just like being vocal when our great Danes do this I believe they’re trying to talk to me maybe saying I’m thirsty feed me take me out to potty or give me a toy or rub me under my neck you have a beautiful dog🥰
@@Stephen-rb7mp they adapt to different environments lol so it doesn’t matter. they were originally from the mountains and as time went on, prison guards used them and they were used to protect sheep. it had to adapt to those… times have changed for them. you’re not gunna leave them there
@@Stephen-rb7mp sorry but if you've never owned one or even been in the same room as one or done any work with one how can you commet,these dogs are flock guardians not pray driven to chase they guard and protect,not chase, they come from Georgia and the caucuses mountain areas,the Russians stole them of the farmers in the mountains and Georgia even killing the farmers and killing the dogs that wouldn't go with them,iv trained rotties for 30 years ,then moved to these beautiful breed,honest my girls only 4 she loves to bark for no reason even barking at birds,iv a springer aswell,now there's a dog that's crazy fast,little legs we call her,she runs over the Co even when my Co his asleep and little legs hears something,my springer is my alarm dog,and the Co to back little legs up when she needs back up,sorry for the long message but iv seen these caucasians shot by police all because an owner couldn't cope so they bump them,which no one can rescue them because they don't do strangers.even in the uk they get shot by the police,last thing these beautiful dogs need is a bad reputation like the big bully dogs are getting.if you wonna know more about this breed I'd be happy to answer your questions,sorry again for long message.
Just so you guys know the reason they’re called both cacausian ovcharkas and cacausian shepherds is because ovcharka is shepherd in this dogs country of origin’s language(multiple countrys)
Exactly why he should listen. If she tells him that she's heard him and acknowledged him, then she has the situation under control. If you allow him to be the one in control, that's exactly what he'll be. You don't want the dog in control of the situation. If she says no, then he should be obedient. If you lose control of a dog like that, they will quickly take over and do what they want. That breed can have a very loud bark, almost a growl/yell type of bark and she probably didn't want him to get riled up. Just my guess. But once the owner steps in, the dog has done it's job and needs to allow the owner to be the leader. I have no doubt this dog would take care of business if a threat were to present itself.

This particular breed a Caucasian shepherd is probably one of if not the most aggressive dog in the world. Is they usually like their family and their family only. If you're not someone that's around all the time then they probably will not accept you even if the owner says it's OK they need to lock the dog up if they have gas over. I'm familiar with central Asian shepherds and friends with the person that's written the only book about them. P.S. She is also a certified dog trainer and I do help her at times.

Not going to get many visitors popping around for a coffee. They are similar in size to leonbergers but with serious attitudes.
