Thanks for making this video and others about this radio. I have the ELRS version and no prior experience with Edge TX, so the learning curve has been wavy at best. This video helped cure another setup issue I was having. Much appreciated sir, any other setup tips even basic ones would go a long way for folks who are new to this system
This is a really helpful video thanks. Only issue I’m having is T4 isn’t switching the Drive modes other than 0 to 1…. L10,11 & 12 switch, but DM stays at DM1 🤷🏼♂️. Other than that I think I’ve got the rest sorted
Glad the video was helpful! Did you copy the order correctly? If multiple logical switches are on at the same time, it will choose the lowest drive mode. I tried to explain this at 4:55 but maybe it wasn't clear.
@@JacobScherer in the end I started from a fresh 'model'. I must have changed something while playing around with the servo mixes before trying this. Now works perfectly. I'd never have managed it without this video though! Big thanks, I now have a 10x10 with 4 modes of steering :)
This Video is awesome I have my Ax 24 all programmed up this way I do have 1 question though is it possible to add trim to the rear steering so you can trim it like the front wheels.
It's funny I was thinking " mirror" also then it dawned on me... it just simply 4WS. Thanks a ton for making the video I watched your video and @donoldsneffe video on 4WS. Both were helpful ❤ I believe in real life use the SA switch would be superior for ease of use Down = FWS Middle = 4WS Up = crab And drivers choice of P2 or P1 for rear steering. I haven't figured out how to make the crab happen yet 😂 And right now I can rear steer with P2 but only if I'm in the SA middle position Any thoughts?
lets say we use switch (SC) as a toggle between the different drive modes, using an edge logical switch, .5 sec press is mirror steer, 1-2 sec press is rear steer, and 2-3 sec press is crab steer. my problem is that it doesn't "toggle" it,i have to set a duration, and i have to wait for said "duration" to pass before i can toggle another mode.... i wonder if i can use the sticky function... how would you go about it?
@@JacobScherer after watching your video 4 times I will try to reproduce this now on my MT12 (of course while watching and pausing the video) - pfff, that is unbelievably complex.
@@donaldsneffe yes, very complex. With some different choices for switches and some software work to match existing surface radio features, this would be a much better system.
@@JacobScherer Agree totally. Most people in our forum are completely overstrained with this (many do already have problems with simple radios such as NB4, GT5, RC8X, Dumbo etc.). More switches would be highly desirable, too. Donno why there is no push button "in" the handle, or two - what nearly all pistol grip radios do have. The switch below the "trim" switch is very inconvenient, strange to use...
Wow this is a big help now that I have studied it for a week. It’s a lot to get used to but I am liking my M12 more and more.

Thank you very much that all worked. Now do I have to set up a separate trim switch in order to trim the rear servo to straighten it out a bit?
Off topic.......what portal axles are those under the 24th scale.
@@dslfrk59 that is an FCX24 with an Axial Deadbolt body that I made custom mounts and LED light grill for. Injora rims/tires. 😁
and how do you get your transmitter to voice the drive modes? I have every audio setting on that i can find.
I have watched this darn video 14 times before I finally you added a insert after channel1 My config has been driving me crazy! Thanks for the videos.
How did you get it to announce the steering modes ????
This Video is awesome I have my Ax 24 all programmed up this way I do have 1 question though is it possible to add trim to the rear steering so you can trim it like the front wheels.
I would trim the rear steer channel in the outputs tab. If you want to try and assign a trim switches to it, it gets real complicated...
@@JacobScherer ok perfect the rear steering channel is channel 3 so i think all i need to do is assign the trim switch to the channel
Can that controller graph any calculus or differential equations? Asking for an engineering friend....
It actually can!
Thanks 4 the great video.. Can you please share the model YAML file?

Call me pedantic, but to me they are all 4ws, lol
❤parrallel your battery supply so both escs have the same voltage
THANK YOU, i would never do this on my own

My only question is to get my remote to announce what mode it’s in like yours does , mirror , front , rear , crab I’d like my remote to say that
You would set that up in special functions to play a track when the mode is active.
Wow! Respect! ;-)
Guess your "Mirror steering" is simply called 4WS ;-) - at least I/we call it that way.
But calling it 4WS is so boring compared to the cool "Crab Mode" haha.

how can I set on of the dials to override them all modes or make a mode on the trim so I can manual use the rear?
