Thank you. I’ll check it out. I have your exact swifter wet jet. But I lose the directions and I don’t know how to change the batteries. Lol. I thought I’d I took the screws out of the handle it would be there but it won’t budge. Idk why they even used the screws. Anyone have a solution?
You can also use those cozy slipper socks at the dollar store, use them and just throw them in the wash. Just pull them over the bottom, they work great😊
Got the Libman freedom mop pad (reusable) at target for $6.99. They're a little bit longer but who cares it does the job. Sticks right on my swiffer wet jet perfectly. You can cut it to make it exactly the same length as the wet jet.
Thank you, I do the same, very creative. I stood my empty bottle upside down in a pot of water in the stove to get the cap off for like I think 3-4 minutes, then I took a knife and removed the little ridges inside the cap you can then reuse/ fill the bottle with whatever solution you would like for your home.Happy cleaning.
Thanks for the video. I tried it and it work though I took it out of the hot water too soon and was disappointed. Tried dipping in for another 90 seconds and it finally popped open. Now I can use my own mix of natural products and saving money and environment at the same time.
You can get the cap off easier if you dip the empty cartridge upsidedown into boiling water for 15 to 20 seconds. This loosens the seal on the cap. BE CAREFUL - Take out and twist off. VOILA! Rinse bottle. Then Add your favorite cleaner.
Alynn, I was also told the same thing for releasing the cap on another channel, so will try it once the solution runs out, I have plenty of my concoctions that would give the room I am working in a good deep clean and fragrant.
Silly swiffer, you can't fool us! Seriously though I'm getting into zero waste but I was kinda upset cause I just bought a swiffer. Not a problem now I can use it forever!
Thank you so much for being so conscious of the affects of harmful chemicals to our environment❣️ I really enjoyed your video! My husband just bought a swiffer wetjet and I was looking up instructions on how to use it; I am so glad I came across your video because I was precisely thinking about how wasteful those single use pads are. I already shop on Etsy had no idea they sold stuff like this on there. Thank you so much for spreading these awesome environmental friendly suggestions! 💚🌎❤️💙
Thank you very much for introducing me to this idea, manufactures really don't want us to use our grey matter and come up with solutions that are cost effective. I have been trying to be cost effective for year's and will continue to do so. Thank you once again.
I was DEElighted to find this video! Just used my first mop pad and disposed of that. Will try Espy for the reusable ones. I'm trying to insert a new container of the Swiffer solution but cannot get any liquid to come out. It makes a sound, and the lights go on, but no liquid solution. I'm going to phone the company tomorrow. Thanks for the info on how to remove the bottle cap! We were afraid to twist it too hard and break it! Thanks for your help!
That is a clever idea. When I finish the supplies I have ....WILL DO. Thanks for sharing. And you do more than Bake Bread. I made your Easy Boule Bread Recipe....made it twice. It was fast and simple. Going to Esty to purchase the Pads. Thanks again.
Great info with demo. Also appreciate the info on safer floor cleaners. Love the bloopers, he can bloop or do a photo bomb any time💕 Merry Christmas to you and your family 🎄🎅🎁
Thank you for sharing - I love ideas like these! I don't have a Swiffer Wet Jet - but I do have the "plain" swiffer mop that I use reusable (chenille) cloths for. That's the way to go! Merry Christmas! Debbie in WA Ü
Dollar Tree sells 2 types of mop pads. A white fuzzy one I use for dusting and a microfiber one I use for mopping. Only a $1 and very good quality. I also refill my wet jet with Mr. Clean Gain scented multi-,surface cleaner 45oz, 2 for $5. ™
Awesome video...I ended up destroying the bottle hoping to open it. Now I buy another one and will try again with this new bottle! I wish you had told us how you did it!
The problem with reusing the Swiffer bottle is that every time you reinsert the bottle into the swiffer after refilling it there are needles that are like a hypodermic neddles that pierce the membrane in the bottle cap to allow the liqid to flow from the bottle to the pump, and they either pierce the membrane in a slightly different place or make the old holes larger causing the solution to leak when the wet jet is used or stored away. The system is designed for one time use only per bottle. If you store the mop upside down the problem is reduced but after refilling a few times it will leak more when you are using it.
@@phillipryder1867 Thank you for this response! I have used my Wet Jet many times since, without the refill. I use a spray bottle in one hand, the mop in the other, using the solution I want to clean my floor. Not perfect, but usable. I really never felt the liquid cleaner in those bottles are very good cleaners. My kitchen floor is cleaner than what's in those bottles! Thanks again!
Did you stay till the end for the bloopers!? 🐶 He interrupts me a few times a video, but it's cute. ❤️

Yaaay!! That's awesome! I'm so glad you found it helpful. 🥰❤️❤️
I put hot tap water in a glass and turned the bottle upside down in the glass for about 2-5 minutes. I then twisted it off. Very easy

I glued soft Velcro to cut microfiber cloths and this worked great
Awesome!! 🤓
I used the wet jet for the first time last week. Way cool! But I'm not buying tons of polluting expensive stuff to use with it. Thanks.
12 dislikes from swiffer employees.
😂🤣👍
I used to have a red one. It was a Target special. I loved it
Oh that must be why mine is red too!! I think I got it at Target 😊👍

@@marthapinet5475 I don't have a pattern for it I just crochet them

That's awesome!! So glad it's working for you too! 🤓👍
use a spray bottle / who says the cleaning solution needs to be attached to a stick?
we have a old swifter and want tp know how to change battery?
Please include the etsy shop that you used. There's a crap ton of options!!
So what's the white screw part for.
Didn't know they had red ones I have purple 😭😂😂
👏👏👏👏👏👏I need to find some of those washable pads!! I didn’t know they were “out there.” (I do love Etsy.)

BUT MR CLEAN IS STILL LOADED WITH CHEMICALS.
The newer Swiffer has plastics bottom not Velcro bottom
Wait never mind it is Velcro
👍
here's a video on how to get the top off of the refill

A different video says invert the bottle and hold it in a pot of boiling water, that will heat up and expand the cap and off it comes
They eat batteries also..😒
Mine doesn't have batteries 🤔 I guess there's a fancier model that does? Good to know!!
What Etsy shop did you find your reusable pad from?
