I only have 75 miles so far in my pasture of Mach 5's and my outsole is looking okay but the Profly+ foam is starting to see a lot of creasing. I'm assuming it's due to my 5'8" 195 lb heel striking frame lol
for me the foam has really come back to life when i give the shoe a rest for a week or two. i think it's what let me get this to 300+ while others who typically get more miles out of the shoe have struggled to get it to 200 - if you have other shoes in your rotation that may be worth a shot
@@supwell appreciate that, I'm currently using a 2 shoe rotation and using them twice a week, but I think I'm going to start using my race shoes for workouts to give the others a rest, thank you!
I weigh about 215 to 220 and I feel after 66 miles. The Middel has kind of gone flat, especially the for foot. I feel very little bounce and very little cushion I am mid to toe striker not sure if it’s just my pair of shoes or what but disappointed
If you have other pairs of shoes you can run in, I would try letting these rest for a week or two and then coming back to them. I found that helped extend the life of the foam for me
@@supwell thanks for the feed back I have tried that I feel like neither I need to run more on my heel in the shoes or my nova blast 3 have made these shoe feel like cardboard lol
the rebel v3 is my favorite shoe of the year, but i think most people will prefer the mach 5 as a do-it-all shoe. the mach 5 feels more cushioned and the rocker makes it easy to roll along at any pace. i like the stripped down and simple feeling of the rebel v3 platform but i know it's not for everyone. the biggest concern with the mach 5 is durability but as i've proven here it's a decently durable shoe
Interesting review. I might consider this one once they go on clearance.
I was able to put only 285 miles on my Mach 5. It just became kind of flat, even though the outsole was still fine.
450 miles on my Hoka Mach 4. Midsole is still largely holding up and outsole is worn, but still present!
A Tobias Fünke reference is always a nice touch 👌🤣

mine lasted 250km, great while it lasted
After finding the MK4 just too hard for me , I think I might just be too heavy for hoka Macks , Clifton 8 ok but not the best distance shoe either .
