Not a City fan. But I have to say this is the greatest play off final game in the history of play off finals. Without this crucial victory, they wouldn’t be where they are today in 2023.
I was too young at the time, but for years I thought that I could only imagine what it must have been like as a City fan that day. Then Aguerooooo happened....
I was 16, what an amazing day.. the weather was awful, we had seats close to the front and got drenched as a result. I remember the feeling when that second Gillingham goal went in, so deflated! Then what happened happened... never known celebrations like it until like you say.. 2012! I never get tired of watching it!
Try 4-0 down, at home to Arsenal and the whole of the Kippax singing 5-4.. We're gonna win 5-4.... lol We bumped into Arsenal fans on the way home and they said.. "Craziest and most loyal fans we've seen.. and we follow them at every home n away games. You lot were partying more than us whilst getting thumped." Just a typical day for City fans back then.. lol
Dont know if anyone gives a damn but if you are bored like me atm you can watch all of the new movies on InstaFlixxer. Have been binge watching with my gf recently xD
My freinds wife Georgina saw this game live at Wembley, a devout Man City fan since she was a little girl, and she claimed this was the greatest game she'd ever seen in all her life. Mind you, she lives in Kent (Born in Manchester) and said if it had been any team but City, she'd have been behind Gillingham.
June 10, 2023. Watching it 20 hours before the kickoff of the 2023 UCL final. The day when we're almost off the football map, and the day when we're going to be the top football club in the world.
This is an Arsenal fan here. Wow 16:57, I bet Man U fans were laughing at that banner while celebrating their own. An example of how a pipe dream turned reality 24 years after that banner. I hope those who were displaying it are alive to witness last night's win. Congratulations to Man City. Rather them than United.
I was at this game and 22 years later I still don’t know where all the added time came from! Well done man city though. The most emotional 15 minutes I’ve ever had in sport!
thanks a lot for uploading this, mate. can't be easy looking back, even after all these years. incredibly grateful City fan here. got some family and friends from Medway and always try to get a look at Priestfield when i'm in the area. up the Gills. always a special part of City's history.
im a liverpool fan here... but it's so shocking how man city were in the depths of english football, then all of a sudden... the treble happned. miracles do happen.
What a mentalist game. Where on earth 5 minutes came from, I dunno. We couldn't see a clock where we were sitting high up. I gotta say we got very very lucky indeed. I still have a look out for Gillingham to this day and wish them luck.
16:57 Man U fans back then must have been laughing hysterically at that guy's banner when they were celebrating their treble with utter relish, unknown to them that their rivals would also have a treble 24 years later.
2:28:22 The course of history would have been completely different if that Gillingham player latched onto that ball, they probably would have scored and made it 3-0 City literally scored in the next phase of play

I was there aged 14. I was at the CL final in Istanbul aged 38!
@@TheMagicianBeeI was 21 when we last lifted the UCL in Porto. Welcome to the UCL winners.

Same, i didnt become a fan til 02/03 when i was 6, and my dads often said what a thrill ride this day was
Attendance for the 1999 Football League Second Division Play-Off Final was a League One Play-Off Final record crowd of 76,935 fans.
I don't think that's ever been beaten either
Me and my dad were there 💙

Now Rodri is among the players that have scored iconic City goals alongside Dickov, Aguero, Young etc
True City fans love the new money players... but each one of these mean 10 times more to our hearts.. Played for the badge and love of the club.
All true but would you swamp it for what you have today?
Utter bollocks. You telling me the likes of Tony Vaughan cared more about City than Kompany, Silva, Aguero, Foden, Rodri etc?
Yeah, whatever.

Alan Brazil just can’t hide his red bias all the way through - you can taste the salt in his tears 😭
that's how supporting a club works you clown, besides, they didn't deserve to win it anyway
Yea proper anker !
Estou apaixonado pela história do City, que bom que achei esse jogo completo para assistir! Virei torcedor depois de conhecer toda essa garra do City!
what history?
15:42 i admit it i didnt expect him to be there ,true city fan indeed
Before Man City became the Man City we all know and loved (and for some, hate)...they were this.
Brrrriiiii upload more matches like this of Manchester City plz
16:56 Now it's "CITY FOR THE TREBLE 2023" .....Maybe.
And now we're in 2023 Manchester city is champion of UEFA champions league. Money changes lifes
Paul Smudger Smith. what a legend. Essex lad. remember him in my class and being a friend in Chalvedon, Pitsea. Good lad.
I was at this game aged 14 and at the Champions League Final vs Inter in 2023.
Alan Brazil's voice was much higher pitched back then.

Back when football was actually good.
Richard Edghill nailed that penalty. Didn't touch the bar, Andy.
2:28:22 The course of history would have been completely different if that Gillingham player latched onto that ball, they probably would have scored and made it 3-0
City literally scored in the next phase of play
Nicky Weaver playing down the last penalty save?
Back when man city were a propper team.
The match starts at 49:25.
