Bought some new cocoa butter and coconut oil from the company you recommended, Baraka Shea, to make some of your holiday formulations for gifts for my family :-) Wonderful company. Ordered a few of their handmade baskets also and they’re absolutely gorgeous. My favourite is a large, natural coloured circular basket that will hold my throw blankets. I’m being more conscious of where I shop these days and this is a great company to support!
I'm so glad you're enjoying your Baraka goodies! The basket I have from them has become my fruit basket ❤️ I LOVE the idea of a big one full of cozy blankets... I bet Lottie would climb into it and claim it as her own 😄
@@HumblebeeAndMe you called it. I have two very large (close to 20 lbs ea), very spoiled Maine Coon mixes here and let’s just say they both helped “re-shape” the basket, albeit perhaps not to Baraka’s instructions 😂
Thank you so much! Your "finally" remark is a bit confusing to me, though-I upload every Monday & Thursday and have for years. Are you not seeing all the things I upload? :)
@@HumblebeeAndMe ohh sorry if you got confused !! I meant it in a happy way :D Im just always excited everytime you upload so thats that ♡ . Have a great day and happy making ^_^
Thank you so much for this formula. I live in Las Vegas and the other formulas melted fast. Had to keep in fridge. Very pleased to have a more heat resistant butter bar 👍🏻🙋🏻♀️💕
I have all these ingredients, I'll surely try this recipe out. For easy movement of my multi cavity silicone molds I made bases out of mdf wood to put them on for easy movement as some are so flimsy. Thanks for sharing.
I feel like this would be so great if you molded it into a round container sort of like the EOS lip balm ones. It would come so in handy as a body balm .
Hi Marie, why this body butter bar didn't need to build up viscosity before pouring into the mould like your white chocolate peppermint or cinnamon cocoa body butter bars?
Thank you Marie, I'm going to give it a try. Quick question, instead of a water bath, could I just use the pan and make it melt directly on an electric plate?
40°C or lower is what is generally recommended, though it's not always possible if a formulation contains lots of wax, in which case we aim to reduce the time those ingredients are exposed to heat by cooling the product quickly after adding them. Happy making!
Hi Marie darling. Thanks again for a great recipe. May we make this is summer or will it be too hard. I am thinking that I could lower the cocoa Butter and add a light oil like argan or jojoba?
Not really, no-it's almost entirely about makeup. I've got a "tour" of the book here: ua-cam.com/video/6jtWzz5K05s/v-deo.html :) Buying book #1 is a good way to help book #2 to exist, though!
You'll find the answer to your question in the "Substitutions" section of the partner blog post. It's linked in the description box below the video ;) If you're not sure what that means, read this: www.humblebeeandme.com/faqs/whats-the-description-box-on-youtube/. Happy making!
Thank you for all your lovely videos! I was just playing around with some bars I made a few days ago when I saw the notification for this video. :) What's the best way to package them?
Thanks for watching! I do recommend storing/gifting these bars in an appropriately sized tin or jar so the end user has somewhere to keep it between uses. A body butter bar that’s left out on a table or counter tends to pick up lots of hair and lint over time, and that’s kind of gross. I prefer tins over plastic bags as they do a better job of protecting the bar and the bar doesn’t get laminated to a tin in quite the same way as it does with a plastic bag. You could also pour these bars into a push-up stick/tube type package, and then freeze those.

When you already have all the ingredients on hand 🙏🙏 whoot whoot time to get making 💜 thank you!!

YAY FINALLY MARIE UPLOADSS 💙 .
i ABSOLUTELY LIVE for your lip balm and body butter recipes ! always a treat

Thank you so much for this formula. I live in Las Vegas and the other formulas melted fast. Had to keep in fridge. Very pleased to have a more heat resistant butter bar 👍🏻🙋🏻♀️💕
You are so welcome! If you find you need even more heat stability you can reduce the coconut oil by a few % and add more wax :) Happy making!

Great idea! Thanks for watching :)
I always place my silicone molds (for these types of products) on a plastic cutting board, specifically used for this purpose. Much easier!
Great tip! ❤️
Can these be made without the added hardners just the butters and oils?
UA-cam needs scratch and sniff capability 😂! Love the touch of mica shimmer. Great tutorial, thanks Marie!
Thank you so much, Jamie! ❤️
Perfect for winter 😊nice info thank you 😊
Thanks for watching!
I'm wondering if a colored mica would rub off on the skin? I'm new to mica
Can I put this in a push up tube?
Amazing!
Can I use Beeswax instead of Candelilla Wax?!
I feel like this would be so great if you molded it into a round container sort of like the EOS lip balm ones. It would come so in handy as a body balm .
That would be really cool if I could get a container like that!
Awesome!
Hi Marie, why this body butter bar didn't need to build up viscosity before pouring into the mould like your white chocolate peppermint or cinnamon cocoa body butter bars?
Because it contains a good whack of relatively potent thickeners :)
I'm looking to use up what I have...I don't have any stearic acid but I do have BTMS-50, you may have inspired me to make shower butter bars.... : )
OOoh, have fun! I've made several conditioning body butters in the past with BTMS-50 and it is a lovely addition :)
Dear, how can I wrap it up? It's oily. My recipe is oily. Thanks a lot
Thank you Marie, I'm going to give it a try. Quick question, instead of a water bath, could I just use the pan and make it melt directly on an electric plate?
I use an electric plate to melt my butters and it works great!
Marie. What is the best temperature to add the vit e? Or essential oil?

I recommend making it as written first and seeing what you think :)
@@HumblebeeAndMe thanks. Will do.
Hi, I would like to buy your book, but focus on butters, creams and scrubs. Does our book include these type of recipes?

can I substitute cocoa butter with mango butter or shea butter?
No, definitely not. Please watch this video: Cocoa Butter vs. Shea Butter vs. Coconut Oil: ua-cam.com/video/wGK4mkLRXNM/v-deo.html. Happy making!
Can we replaced candelilla wax, please?

@@HumblebeeAndMe awesome. Thank you.
Is that a Jennings tb500 scale? I bought a jewelers scale on Amazon but it is super inaccurate, difficult to use, and doesn’t measure much.
I've put all the details in the Precision Scale entry in the Humblebee & Me DIY Encyclopedia (www.humblebeeandme.com/diy-encyclopedia/) :)
