After receiving many questions regarding the Nikon 5000 series (D5200, D5300, D5500, etc.), I got my hands on the D5600 and decided to conduct a review:). The D5600 shares the same size sensor and resolution as the D3300 and D3400 but includes built-in time lapse and a fully articulating touch screen. Many ask if the D5600 is a worthy upgrade to the D3000 series ... I provide my thoughts on this topic at the end of the video:).
Comment with any thoughts and/or questions, and I will do my best to help! Enjoy the video!:)

Thanks for the post/feedback Corey and glad to be of help!:)
So true !!!!!!! I was so tired I couldn’t get a demonstration review until I came across this channel He’s definitely a wonderful reviewer
As a photographer myself, this is the type of review videos that should be used for educational purposes. You go in depth and that's how it should be. Thank you for doing this.
If I buy D5600, this video will be the reason.
Thankyou, sir.
Glad to be of help!:)
Shrey Dhasmana I bought one and this guy was 100% the reason
It's incredible the amount of videos out there comparing cameras with out a single photo taken, thank you for these reviews, you are awesome!
Thanks for being generous with your time, and for your thoughtful opinions. Will be sticking with my D3400 for the time being.
Thanks for the post/feedback!:) The D3400 is a solid camera in my opinion ... the 5600 brings a rotating touch screen with time lapse into the equation.
Those photos are very encouraging. Paid much attention to the composition of each photo. Thanks for sharing. Just got my D5600 a week ago with 18-55mm, 18-140mm and 35mm lenses.
This guy deserves more subscribers. Thank you for the time and effort in teaching us newbies. :)
Thanks for the post/feedback Jay and glad to be of help!:)
Thanks to you, I just decided for the D5600 as my first DSLR
Welcome to the wonderful world of photography and enjoy the ride!:)

Me too
I literally just got this as my first DSLR camera. I love it.
Welcome to the wonderful world of photography Megan!:)
So happy I saw your face pop up when I searched Nikon D5600 🙏🙏🙏
usually when i see 20 min long reviews its an x on my list but i watched it and the review was wholesome and it really introduced the camera and exploited its full potential you injected some inputs which helped me understand some of its capabilities i have decided to have this as my first DSLR thank you for your review keep creating great content
Thanks for the post/feedback and glad to be of help!:) I know the feeling - I try to keep my total time to a minimum but decided to just focus on what I want to cover and let the time be whatever it is ends up being:). If I start with a list of predetermined points I wish to cover, I am typically in good shape an stay focused which helps the overall video:).
Rolling Red how does it feel?
Based on your review, I purchased my D5600 a while back! I got both the 18-55 and 70-300 lenses. And with your video help....Im shooting in manual modes! What a difference! Thank you sir!
this is exactly what i did too. went away from canon wich are not good anymore, NIKON offer anyway a better image quality, finally, this is what we want .-)
Actually im using 18-140mmDX VR with my D5600. Super stuff. Pictures amazing on manual mode. Only manual. Manual mode is a King!
Thanks for being to the point this other video I tried watching a couple of this Chris winters guy was terrible it was basically almost 9 min of self promotion smash that like button nonsense. Thank you. You did a fantastic job of explaining great video. That guy has over 300k subscribers you deserve way more
Thanks for the post/feedback and glad to be of help!:) I started this channel with one intent - to simply help people:). I continue to do the same and feel the more I help, the better:).
Oh yes.. he is a cancerous person..
I remember when i was deciding on my first DSLR 3 years ago.. all the bullshit about canon being suoerior, fake giveaways blablabla, stick to this guy and Michael the Maven and no one else ;)
Oh yeah Chris winter is VERY ANNOYING!
I second what u said about Chris Winter..as annoying as Minnesota's Winter!!
Agree totally.
Nikon owes you big time. This was a very good review. I love how you gave visuals for us to see the quality in the pictures. NICE! I'm going to get one tomorrow.
Thanks for the post/feedback Shayla and glad to be of help!:) The D5600 is a solid choice - enjoy the ride!:)
Loved the review. Precise, simple and interesting! It is hard to find such reviews these days!
Thanks for the feedback and glad to be of help!:) Welcome to the channel!:)

BEST ever intro video , cut to the main course
I really appreciate that you indicate your ISO, f-stop, and shutter speed in each of your examples. I am a novice, and this really helps me in choosing appropriate settings... a great video, great channel.
Thanks for the post/feedback Jonathan and glad to be of help! :)
This video really helped me. I needed the stats about the external audio jack. I bought a Cannon T6 Rebel & exchanged it for the Nikon 5600.
Thanks!!!!! Subscribed!!!!!

This is the best review videos I've come across. Thank you and keep doing the best work👍🏻
Great video as usual, i've been following your videos and learning lots of good things, as i have a D5300 i'll be really excited to see more on the d5600
Thanks again.
When you did the recordings, were you on auto or manual mode? Also i have heard the auto focus being very loud on other videos. How was your's so quiet?
Amazing detailed and well put together review. Good job man ! I am impressed with high ISO shots, was expecting some grain to start showing after 6400.
Thanks for the feedback!:) Does well at higher ISOs IMO.
Thank you for having this video. I helped me in deciding what camera to buy.
Thanks for the post/feedback and glad to be of help!:)
I had been waiting for a field test video on d5600. Thank you ☺
Glad to be of help Alen!:)
Your video, the articulating touch screen and external mic sold me on the d5600. Your photos and soundtrack are terrific. Thank you.
Thanks for the post/feedback and glad to be of help!:) Feel free to follow me on Instragram if you like - instagram.com/realworldpicts I just started the account and plan to post more picts soon:).
I really enjoy my d5600 as a travel camera, as I tend to leave heavy full-frame cameras at home. I think the advantage to it over the d3400, besides the ISO performance and auto-focus system, is the touch screen. Both cameras have a lack of dedicated buttons and dials on the camera body, so the touch screen really helps give the user more control (more quickly) over the camera. So if you generally shoot manual, or like the idea of having more control over the camera, you might like to have quick access to the touch screen. Otherwise save your cash for good DX lenses and buy the 3400.
Thanks for the post - good points:).
Hey.. which lens is suitable while purchasing d5600.. 17-300mm or 50mm 1.8 lens
just got myself this camera as a birthday gift to myself (this would be my first dslr). can’t wait to use it, thank you for the review. ☺️
Congrats on the camera and happy birthday!:) It's a nice/solid/capable camera - take time to understand it and enjoy the ride!:)
Thanks! I’m late to this video but it was very thorough and helpful. I liked that you included so many sample images.
All good and glad to be of help!:)
I really enjoyed this video, and I will buy a d5600 now. So thank you.
Thanks for the feedback and glad to be of help!:) The D5600 ( amzn.to/2DJkQ3k ) is a solid/capable camera in my opinion and should treat you well:).
This really helped me because for Christmas my dad said he will try to get the Nikon d5600
Glad to be of help!:)
Thanks I just got the 5600 still learning love this video
Enjoy the ride John!:) The D5600 is solid:).
I have that D5600 for a year already I like it very well thanks for very impressive video you did.
Thanks for the post/feedback!:) The D5600 is a capable/solid camera - enjoy!:)
Hi Again , and thanks for the content, I always find it relaxing and educational and I absolutely love your style also, with that being said how would you compare this camera against the Sony A6000 ? And why would you choose one over other. Regards Bob.
Thanks for the post/feedback/question:). I have shot with both and would give the edge to the 5600 keeping in mind these are apples and oranges (meaning mirror vs mirrorless). Sony has done a great job with mirrorless technology - the a6000 has MANY more focal points which are great for tracking moving subjects (the edge for tracking moving subjects goes to the a6000), however the d5600 will not overheat like the a6000 (the a6000 will overheat when shooting video for more than 10 mins, etc.), the d5600 has a much better battery life, and Nikon removed the AA filter (anti-aliasing filter which tends to soften images). In addition, I like that Nikon includes a built-in time lapse feature which is nice along with a full rotating touch screen which is nice:).
Omggg yessssss thankyou so much sir loved the video!! So i whent from my sumsung galaxy j7 to this camara quality for my UA-cam videos
Thanks for the post/feedback and glad to be of help!:)
Really helpful! I'm planning to buy this camera!
Awesome video!
Nice explanation!
Perfect photos!
Honestly, your shots are so clear even without a tripod! I see people nowadays in 2021 and they don't have that sharpness, that clarity in their photo shots!
I am impressed with your shots!!
Thanks again!
Thanks for your post/feedback!:) Nikon removed the AA filter which helps for the overall clarity as well. :)
Hahaha, learned about what to buy just by reading the comments. Great video, just subscribed and watched several of your videos. You really tried to read and answer all questions. That's amazing!
Thanks for the post Benben and glad to be of help!:) The comments are packed for of good/solid content which can help on many levels (hopefully:)). I know what it is like to search for information and always find it nice to stumble over an informed response:).
best reviewer, only your video helps me know d5600 iso performance
Thanks for the post/feedback and glad to be of help!:)
Duy Pham I use the Nikon D5500 and the ISO performance is amazing!!!
thank you, i'm finding an entry camera has good iso performance to replace my old 50d ...
Duy Pham If you're looking for ISO performance, get the Nikon D5500! It's cheaper than the D5600 but is exactly the same. I even think they pulled out some features in the D5600. The D5500 is the best-performing crop sensor in low light (along with the D7200). It can't be beat!
Yes, but d5xxx has no internal autofocus motor so if i buy d5xxx instead of d7xxx i can't af on "D" lenses :(
Thanks for reviewing... great as usual 👍
I got the Nikon D5600 as my first DSLR three days ago. I am very happy so far with the camera. However, I am even more astonished by the camera's capability after watching this video. Thank you very much for the clear and detailed explanation.
Thanks for the post Vishnu and glad to be of help!:) The D5600 is a solid/capable camera - enjoy the ride:).
This is my first camera, I love it 🙂❗
A great first camera Fernando!:) Enjoy the ride!:)
Another reason to get the 5600 are the extra focus points..9(3400) vs. 39(5600)
agreed - Nikon packed more focal points in the D5600 compared to the D3400.
*Nikon D3400 had 11 points
My mistake it is 11not 9 thanks
easily the best/most comprehensive review for the Nikon 5600.
Thanks for the post/feedback and glad to be of help!:)
Simplicity how the way to understand and gain confidence! Thank you for such great video.👍👍👍😄
Which one is better D5600 vs D7100 for portrait photography?
They both share the same size sensor and will be relatively similar regarding image quality. A couple of notes of difference between the cameras ... 1 - the D7100 has auto focus built into the body of the camera (the D5600 does not). The major advantage to this is that you can use lenses that do not have auto focus built into the lens. 2 - the D7100 is weather sealed and feels solid/heavy compared to the D5600. I have shot with both the 5000 series and 7000 series ... they are both solid in my opinion:).
Good information.
I have been using the D3400 since before Christmas 2017. I so far have no issues with it. I too would rather get down on the ground to shoot the low shots. The articulating screen for me is not a necessity. Even with only the nine sensors I have used it with the 5 fps and it has kept focus very well overall. I did a photo shoot this weekend and forgot to change back to single shot and just rolled with it and I did end up with over 500 shots, so you definitely need to watch that. I have been very happy with the D3400 so far. (I really wanted the D800 or 850 but just couldn't quite make the budget fit for that).
Keep your video reviews and how to's coming. I find you very informative, thorough, and easy to watch.
Thanks for the post/feedback Steve!:) Agree - I prefer to get dirty if needed although the rotating screen is nice when shooting overhead:). Ahhhhh, the D850 - would like to get my hands on it one day as well:).
Just got this yesterday and I’ve found your videos helpful and very informative. I was going to go for D3400 for my first DSLR but liked the articulating touch screen of this specific model.
Nice!:) The articulating screen is nice to have at various times!:)
Thank you. You make me wanna get it soon. I'm going to own it next month.
12:15 is my favorite picture even if it’s just a sample
agreed! It completely surprised me that photo and some of the other ones
It looks so tiny in his hand omg!!!
This review helped me decide on my first DSLR camera as I begin a new hobby. Thank you for the in depth and very interesting video.
Glad to be of help and enjoy the ride!:)
Really loved the Field Review. I got D5600 but did know what Exif will give me what results. U have shot through out the day which makes sense n mentioned every detail with each pic. That's something I was seeking for. Thanks bro.
Thanks for the feedback and glad to be of help!:) I like to show the data as I feel it helps others to know the settings:).
You had me at 'Nee-kon' ... (instead of Nai-kon)
LOL - I was waiting for someone to catch it!:) I intended to make the change sooner but finally made the effort on this vid!:)
trashhead00 correct
And the British pronounce it Niken
Dick Nix. I am Brtish... I pronounce it phonetically Nick on
It's 'Ni' Mon not 'nee' kon or 'Nai' kon
hi, I am Hasan. I want to start my photography journey. I like the Nikon D3400 but now I am confused because I don't understand which to buy I mean Nikon d3400 vs d5600. I hope you will help me to decide which to buy for starting my journey?
....Thank you. Good luck.....*
Hasan Moula its not the camera, you can buy the d3400 and a 50mm or another lens
Ezequiel Hee, thank you very much. I am decided to buy Nikon D3400 with 18-55mm and 35mm f1.8g.
.... Have a good day .....
Hasan Moula yes check this pictures that i took with d3400 www.flickr.com/photos/162419265@N07/sets/72157691060931181
Ezequiel Hee Ok I will check this.
.... thanks again....
Thanks for the post and welcome to the world of photography!:) The decision really boils down to a rotating touch screen, more focal points, and time lapse. resulting image quality is nearly the same in my opinion. If you have a bit more in your budget, you might lean towards the D5600 providing you are interested in the extra features. If you want to save money and retain the same image quality, consider the D3400 ... just my two cents:).
Thank you for helping me pick my very first dslr 😊 This is the kind of review we all wanted.
Thanks for the post Lalisa and glad to be of help!:) A solid camera that will treat you well!:)
Very informative.. You answered questions I didn't even know I had.. Thank you for making these videos..

Really enjoy your reviews, and tutorials, and appreciate the time required to do informative, and entertaining photography videos. Also wanted to say the first time I heard "Blue Sky" I thought it was some long-lost tune by Jim Morrison. Keep up the exceptional work.
Thanks for the post/feedback!:) Great connection with the music as well ... agreed!:) When I play it back, I hear a similar sound/vibe to the Doors.

What a FANTASTIC review about 5600 .Lovely pics taken too. Really Enjoyed watching this review with nice music in the background. Great job indeed.
Thanks for the post/feedback and glad to be of help!:)
I just upgraded to this camera from a much older D3100. And so far I'm really enjoying it!
Ahhhhh yes!:) That would be a nice upgrade indeed!:)
Great video - reinforced my decision to upgrade.
I am new to photography and started with the D3400 in August. Three months later, I switched the D5600. The 5600 has many features I find well worth the additional money, particularly the wi-fi and built-in time lapse. I found the menu system to be more encompassing and easier to use. I also found the button locations easier to use. The additional buttons and accessory port are very useful.
Thanks for the post/feedback:). Sounds like you are on the right path!:) The D5600 has some nice features ... ahhh the time lapse:).
Thanks. I have that camera and love it. It is my first dslr. Can you do more videos on using it and tips on how to get the best from it? Many thanks and keep up the great work!
Great video and review. I’m still getting comfortable with my d3400 and you definitely motivated me to keep shooting. Thanks again
Thanks for the feedback and glad to be of help!:) I like the D3400 - nice capable camera!:)

Thank you! I got into photography through flying drones. I'm ordering this camera Monday.
Ahhhhh yes, I flew drones as well - fun/interesting but eventually sold my gear:). Enjoy the camera - it is solid and will treat you well!:)
This video is a great help, thank you!
I already have this camera but still enjoy watching review videos for some reason haha. I like the old school vibe. Reminds me of the guitar training videos I used to watch. Great camera and review.
Thanks for the post/feedback!:)
Thank you so much for the effort you put into this excellent video!
thanks for the feedback and glad to be of help!:)
Excellent and most informative. I was looking for a camera a bit more sophisticated than my Coolpix B500 and a bit less hefty than my D90, and this seems to fit the bill. It won't totally displace either, but it will have its own particular niche.
This is a cool stuff. Fascinated by your fluency. Nice demo. Cheers!
Thanks for the post/feedback!:)
What a nice man... Helpful video. Thanks.
I enjoyed the review and I see it produces excellent images. Thank you for the review.
Glad to be of help Gino - a good/solid camera:).
