Ryan let me just say I love that you did not deck her out in all camo and just let her go as she normally would and play and move and just enjoying time with her pops doing 2 thing he loves to do (being with her and hunting) great job dad! My girls are now 23 and 24, and our time in the mountains together are some of my favorite memories. Well done sir! Fun watch.

I really enjoy your thought process on bumping into people out in the back country. It’s real easy to think "son of a gun, I hiked my butt off to get away from people just have this spot ruined by some hiker”. I think it’s way better to give them props and consider that they are the kind of people you would probably want to meet anywhere else and they’re just trying to do the same thing you are. It’s probably even more important to demonstrate that line of thinking to the kiddos cause they’re going to have to put up with it even more in their lifetime then we are and they might as well be positive about it.

Good Stuff Ryan. We have a tradition of taking our kids in the woods every summer and I know first hand how much work and effort it takes to pull something like this off. However, all the effort is worth the memories and the outdoor skills they learn from these experiences. Love it!!

Such a special time and beautiful memories created. I think it’s so important to expose kids at young age to the beauty of being out in nature and build the appreciation for it. I couldn’t imagine having Ryan Lampers as a dad… My dad didn’t care for hunting at all, but he took me out anyway, and I’ve been addicted to it since. This past year he hung it up, turned everything over and said “have fun”. It was sad, but at the same time my son is now using the rifle he has used since 1997, which I purchased for him while in tech school.
Man, thanks for sharing that. Sad for sure but it sounds like he saw the benefit in getting you out although he didn’t care for it much.

My youngest grand daughter has gone with me on some turkey hunts and fishing trips. She turns 13 this year and we are working on get'n her a buck. Love the video, really hits home. Proud to see a father involving their kids in hunting. Thanks Ryan

What a great film! I have 6 kids of my own who I take hunting with me whenever possible, however we haven’t done anything quite as adventurous as a back country llama 🦙 bear hunt. Props to you for taking your daughter on such an epic adventure!! Can’t wait to see episode two.
