Luke is the perfect example of how to show your kids on social media. It's not forced, if the kids don't wanna do something or join Dad for an adventure, they don't, and it's not made to be an issue. Family vloggers need to take notes. This is how you raise kids online on their own terms.
Yep, also, Luke has shown times where he still has his kids attend school when family bloggers will pull their kids out of school for whatever they are doing. He has taken them out of school a few times, but that is rare.

@@sdfsdf2205 Its not Luke who has turned off comments, UA-cam has permanently disabled comments on his channel, and while he has said he was initially annoyed, he now finds it a blessing since he doesnt have to moderate at all.
Another thing to note is his kids probably know a lot more about survival, fishing, hunting, than most people do especially fishing. I've seen their videos of their fishing trips and these kids know what they're doing like catching them and identifying different types of fish. These kids are raised right

I don't care what anyone says, this man has balls the size of the moon, especially to bring your kids and wife on these amazing trips and teach them the knowledge you know. Soooo INCREDIBLY glad my brother showed me the Outdoor Boys channel a few months ago. Since then I have binged hundreds of videos and am so grateful for the lessons you teach. I think UA-cam turned off comments for him completely ever since then all of his videos do not have comments option. Luke explained this in one of the old videos.
I love my son and spend lots of good quality time doing outdoor stuff a couple times a month at least. Fishing, hiking, camping, and geocaching. His energy, patience and knowledge puts me to shame and puts me in my place as a weekend warrior at best but does it in a way that just makes me want to be better. Not just the experiences with him his kids are learning because he’s an excellent teacher. Good guy.

I have such an appreciation for Luke and the Outdoor Boys family and channel. It’s real and never “clickbait” or dishonest. It’s entertaining and fun to watch these videos without scripted drama and ridiculous content, just real down to earth talent. He leads and raises his family perfectly in my opinion, and gives each person undivided attention. Even on his trip to florida, he had each and everyday planned out with one of his core family members.
@@ratman6525 I saw something recently where he explained it was initially due to UA-cam policy, but after the policy was lifted he decided to keep them disabled due to all the time he spent moderating his comment section and liked getting that time back. Honestly, I don't blame the guy. Most YT comment sections get dragged into the mud because some bastard has to come in and make their problems everyone else's too

Yeah I thought about why his comments were off about a year ago, and I figured it was because he didn't like criticim or feedback so I immediately stopped watching him. But when I found out the real reason was because of innapropriate comments towards his kids, so youtube shut down the comments, I knew I had the wrong picture of him.

You know why people love him and the reason he is successful? He is a simple man, he is not trying to be someone that he is not. Chill guy , great personality, and always in a positive spirit. When I watch his videos I just feel relaxed, I dont even like camping or survival in general, I just love watching people do what they love in the simplest matter. Makes me feel good inside I dont know why.

The thing I think is particularly unique about Luke is that you feel like he’s talking just to you. You can happily lose hours listening to him. He also has no agenda or ego. Best guy on UA-cam.

I had one of the outdoor boys episodes come across my feed almost 2 years ago. I still remember it. He was hiking and build a massive fire for hours up next to a gravel riverbed bank to dry it out and warm the rocks. I was hooked. When I was almost 4 my family bought property up in the northwest and my dad cut and dragged in logs to build our home, my twin and I being so little still were taught to help, so we did our best to skin the logs. The first 2 years we didn’t have running water, power or sewer, so we used wood heat, oil lamps and a outhouse. I’m now 45, retired and have two boys 5 and 6 I’m starting to teach and give similar life experiences to. Luke has been a great example and a joy to watch. I just recently found out I am of the same faith, he went on his mission at 19 just like my twin who went to Australia for 2 years. I started my company instead. I’ll say to anyone watching this man. I guarantee all his thoughts revolve around his family unit and our beliefs give strength and comfort. What a great man and father. I will strive to follow his example with my boys. Thank you Luke!
Luke and his wife are two of the best examples of down to earth , good parents on the internet. If more people did just half of how they do with their family, half the problems in this whole world wouldn't happen!! It always starts at home people. Luke and the Outdoor Boys are the real deal. No drama, no tough talk or panicky hyperbole, no music drowning out nature, truly the best of UA-cam! He talks and interacts when necessary, but never over does it; and his channel is wonderful for families and those of us with ADHD because he keeps the clips within his videos moving so the viewers don't have time to yawn. He has inspired me to get outside, camp and fish more, even (and this is important) when the weather is not ideal. Luke is one of the smartest people on yt. He knows survival skills. He's teaching his kids. He is one of the best dads I can tell. The way he teaches things is so much better than how schools would do it

Luke was also the benefactor of a great LDS family. He has super strong community and family. This is what the Western World is missing and forgot about. The USA was largely founded on faith, family and community. Your church and community helped with everything. Raising the kids, teaching and instilling values and morals. Teaching hard work ethic and responsibility. The US is pretty much Sodom and Gomorrah now, and Luke has a video on FB talking about how he truly believe Jesus will be returning soon to save humanity. I hope he is right!

It's not easy to find something my 15 year old son and 13 year old daughter can agree on watching. But Outdoor Boys is one of a handful of things that we all enjoy. I think with all of Luke's successes and failures on his adventures he reminds us of ourselves. He's just a real, normal guy, with a healthy passion for his hobbies. Wishing him and his family the very best.
He's not that normal though. He's obviously extremely smart, very knowledgable about and capable in a lot of things and probably makes really good money with all the traveling that he did, even before the Youtubing
Luke is the father some of us never had. Watching his videos makes me feel like i am spending and catching up some quality time I never got to experience with my own parents and siblings. I grew up with a complete family but we lacked opportunities to bond. For example, we will get our food from the kitchen and just go eat in our bedrooms instead of eating together at a table. I really wish Luke and Rebecca could wirte a book on parenting and marriage cause they really nailed it. Tom at his young age knows to do stuff that even grown men can't. I think Luke' character and down to earth personality also gotta do with his faith in God.
I relate to everyone fixing a plate and just eat separately , we compliment the food and go back into our rooms. I definitely feel my inner child healing with Luke’s videos especially when he includes his family.
I like way he shows his faith as LDS get a bad wrap but they are all, good people! Need your lawn mowed, garden weeded and short of money, these guys will just show up and help. Lastly, thanks to good values and diet, they girls are all pretty and the boys are all CAN DO! Its nice, SDAs too for that matter and a few other denominations make for good lifestyles and family values. Good communities too
I’ve been watching Luke’s videos for over 8 years now….I started watching him back when he would post videos on his other channel Catfish and Carp very often. He’s one of the reasons that I got into catfish and carp fishing! I just love seeing how much the channel has grown since then

Bro I’m a 19 year old boy from a small town in South Africa who has never gone camping or even seen proper snow yet I’m so addicted to these videos. It’s absolutely insane to me to even fathom the fact that I’m watching someone who actually exists in conditions completely opposite to what I’ve ever experienced.
Me too! I've camped a lot in my time, but never in snow, as I lived in Brazil. But I HAVE camped below zero, on a mountain here. Now I have something far more fun and important: my wife, and she can't camp out because she's severely disabled, but regardless, I don't think she would. She hates the cold, she lives in Estonia (this year it was down to -20 there in Winter) and disability or not, the idea of pooping without a toilet makes her want to set the house on fire! 🤣But for me, nothing can ever be better than just spending every day with her (fortunately, I work from home). @@bigsax6900

I found Luke a couple of months ago, watched one video and was hooked! I enjoy his excursions with his family. Now I am watching his Catfish & Carp videos! I also see that Tommy has his videos also.

Luke has made a video talking about how UA-cam won't let him turn comments on because his channel features his children and UA-cam blocks comments on those channels to prevent predatory type comments.
@@roberttzamongarner6865 he has said they blocked comments for a while but he is allowed to have them on now. He chooses to keep them turned off because he was having to spend too much time doing admin work and deleting dodgey comments.

Im new to his channel after seeing his videos on instagram first. Quick question for him or anyone that knows.. he said at the beginning he hasnt been scared in the wdernesss in a long time. Has he ever mentioned seeing anything wild or unexplainable? Such as aliens, ufos, cryptids, random military "training", random people hes ran into out there, or deformed/mutated animals or anything cool? One video i saw on instagram was him sitting in his tent being quiet and listening to wolfs "laugh" outside his tent. Has he had any other unordinary or funny/weird experiences i can check out or heae more of?

ppl nowadays are so weird that they think children shouldnt be outside camping in below zero temperatures. Even tough its been proven that being outdoors helps with physical fitness and wellbeing, also mentally, improves skills and helps with anxiety, stress and depression. every kid before smartphones spent their childhood outside and thats how it should be

@@valde6098 whats the reasoning behind this? btw I mean them not killing the fish they catch. they often have a bunch of still moving fish just laying on the ground slowly dying. Its wild to me someone like that does not have any respect for the fish they catch and simply kills them ASAP to avoid suffering.

Since being a dad for almost a year now, i admire him best at teaching and guiding his kids, the way he talks to his children like friends, ect… And the most amazed me is his boys learn everything from him, being his companion in almost every journey and the more important, they enjoy their time with dad. Luke has to be one of the hardest working UA-camrs out there. Him and his boys have completely blown me away since discovering their channel. If I was in an intense survival situation, I'd take Luke by my side over just about anybody.

It was amazing seeing how much weight you have loss overtime doing these activities and camp outs. One of if not the best part of your videos is seeing how a father should treat their kid, taking them out on adventures out in the wild teaching them how to survive. Truly the proper way to teach your kids masculinity and strength in general. If I could ask for anything I would ask for your videos to have comments turned on again(im aware it is youtube's doing) and to see how you would handle other animals in the wild. I understand if it is something you cannot do as it poses risks but I am fine with things as it is now. It is just truly a shame that your comments are turned off. i discovered lukes channel maybe a month ago and ive been sooooo in love with all the videos. Not only is it entertaining but also educational, lighthearted, funny, and wholesome. Life hasnt been easy on me for a while now but lukes, positive attitude towards even pretty bad and annoying situations, his calmness, and gratitude really changed my perspective on things and helped me realized that my life isnt as bad as a picture it and that i should be more grateful at times and less angry at the things that happen to me. His videos are like therapy and i hope this family man will keep on living an amazing life with all the joy, health, and happiness for him and his family.

Lukes son is so smart and has so much personality plus always seems to have a good attitude about things, even when he got cut pretty badly a while back he was more of a man about it than I would have been haha he just got stitched up and wanted to go back out and finish the trip. Luke is such a good example of positive masculinity. No obsession with control and power. He is family centred and treats his wife so well. He prioritizes her and things she likes to do - painting, collecting shells, spearfishing. He cooks, and makes sure his wife is comfortable, keeps checking in with her and asking if she is enjoying. Rare kind of man to come across, a lot of men are self-centred, obsessed with control and power over their wife.
Luke is the perfect example of how to show your kids on social media. It's not forced, if the kids don't wanna do something or join Dad for an adventure, they don't, and it's not made to be an issue. Family vloggers need to take notes. This is how you raise kids online on their own terms.
Yep, also, Luke has shown times where he still has his kids attend school when family bloggers will pull their kids out of school for whatever they are doing. He has taken them out of school a few times, but that is rare.

@@sdfsdf2205 Its not Luke who has turned off comments, UA-cam has permanently disabled comments on his channel, and while he has said he was initially annoyed, he now finds it a blessing since he doesnt have to moderate at all.
Another thing to note is his kids probably know a lot more about survival, fishing, hunting, than most people do especially fishing. I've seen their videos of their fishing trips and these kids know what they're doing like catching them and identifying different types of fish. These kids are raised right

Soooo INCREDIBLY glad my brother showed me the Outdoor Boys channel a few months ago. Since then I have binged hundreds of videos and am so grateful for the lessons you teach. I think UA-cam turned off comments for him completely ever since then all of his videos do not have comments option. Luke explained this in one of the old videos.
Luke is one of the most wholesome people and an amazing Dad. His kids are going to look back on such a fond and beautiful childhood.
I love my son and spend lots of good quality time doing outdoor stuff a couple times a month at least. Fishing, hiking, camping, and geocaching. His energy, patience and knowledge puts me to shame and puts me in my place as a weekend warrior at best but does it in a way that just makes me want to be better.

I have such an appreciation for Luke and the Outdoor Boys family and channel. It’s real and never “clickbait” or dishonest. It’s entertaining and fun to watch these videos without scripted drama and ridiculous content, just real down to earth talent. He leads and raises his family perfectly in my opinion, and gives each person undivided attention. Even on his trip to florida, he had each and everyday planned out with one of his core family members.

@@ratman6525 I saw something recently where he explained it was initially due to UA-cam policy, but after the policy was lifted he decided to keep them disabled due to all the time he spent moderating his comment section and liked getting that time back. Yeah I thought about why his comments were off about a year ago, and I figured it was because he didn't like criticim or feedback so I immediately stopped watching him. I had one of the outdoor boys episodes come across my feed almost 2 years ago. I still remember it. He was hiking and build a massive fire for hours up next to a gravel riverbed bank to dry it out and warm the rocks. I was hooked. When I was almost 4 my family bought property up in the northwest and my dad cut and dragged in logs to build our home, my twin and I being so little still were taught to help, so we did our best to skin the logs. The first 2 years we didn’t have running water, power or sewer, so we used wood heat, oil lamps and a outhouse. I’m now 45, retired and have two boys 5 and 6 I’m starting to teach and give similar life experiences to. Luke has been a great example and a joy to watch. I just recently found out I am of the same faith, he went on his mission at 19 just like my twin who went to Australia for 2 years. I started my company instead. I’ll say to anyone watching this man. I guarantee all his thoughts revolve around his family unit and our beliefs give strength and comfort. What a great man and father. I will strive to follow his example with my boys. Thank you Luke!

He talks and interacts when necessary, but never over does it; and his channel is wonderful for families and those of us with ADHD because he keeps the clips within his videos moving so the viewers don't have time to yawn. He has inspired me to get outside, camp and fish more, even (and this is important) when the weather is not ideal. I used to miss so many opportunities to be in nature just because the weather wasn't perfect....not any more. Thanks Luke and family!

Luke was also the benefactor of a great LDS family. He has super strong community and family. This is what the Western World is missing and forgot about. The USA was largely founded on faith, family and community. Your church and community helped with everything. Raising the kids, teaching and instilling values and morals. Teaching hard work ethic and responsibility. The US is pretty much Sodom and Gomorrah now, and Luke has a video on FB talking about how he truly believe Jesus will be returning soon to save humanity. It's not easy to find something my 15 year old son and 13 year old daughter can agree on watching. But Outdoor Boys is one of a handful of things that we all enjoy. I think with all of Luke's successes and failures on his adventures he reminds us of ourselves. He's just a real, normal guy, with a healthy passion for his hobbies. Luke is the father some of us never had. Watching his videos makes me feel like i am spending and catching up some quality time I never got to experience with my own parents and siblings. I grew up with a complete family but we lacked opportunities to bond. For example, we will get our food from the kitchen and just go eat in our bedrooms instead of eating together at a table. I really wish Luke and Rebecca could wirte a book on parenting and marriage cause they really nailed it. Tom at his young age knows to do stuff that even grown men can't. I think Luke' character and down to earth personality also gotta do with his faith in God.
I relate to everyone fixing a plate and just eat separately , we compliment the food and go back into our rooms. I definitely feel my inner child healing with Luke’s videos especially when he includes his family.

I’ve been watching Luke’s videos for over 8 years now….I started watching him back when he would post videos on his other channel Catfish and Carp very often. He’s one of the reasons that I got into catfish and carp fishing! I just love seeing how much the channel has grown since then

Bro I’m a 19 year old boy from a small town in South Africa who has never gone camping or even seen proper snow yet I’m so addicted to these videos. It’s absolutely insane to me to even fathom the fact that I’m watching someone who actually exists in conditions completely opposite to what I’ve ever experienced.
Me too! I've camped a lot in my time, but never in snow, as I lived in Brazil. But I HAVE camped below zero, on a mountain here. Now I have something far more fun and important: my wife, and she can't camp out because she's severely disabled, but regardless, I don't think she would. She hates the cold, she lives in Estonia (this year it was down to -20 there in Winter) and disability or not, the idea of pooping without a toilet makes her want to set the house on fire! 🤣But for me, nothing can ever be better than just spending every day with her (fortunately, I work from home). @@bigsax6900

Ive gotten into the outdoors 3/4 years ago and not many channels I could find inspiration off was dwindling, until last year someone recommended me to check out the Outdoor boys, well just the knowledge and also that 'Welcoming' feeling I experience when watching his videos has inspired me even further to step outside my comfort zone beyond the point where, 2 years ago, Id tell myself "NOPE". This is such a heartwarming video. Thanks Guga. I am 74 yr old gal who did little camping in my life. Sorry, I have to "camp" in a nice hotel with a great bed and shower. I only like "day" camping. I found Luke a couple of months ago, watched one video and was hooked! I enjoy his excursions with his family. Now I am watching his Catfish & Carp videos! I also see that Tommy has his videos also.
Since OB keep the comments off and our family has watched a thousand videos, I’m just here to give a thousand thanks to Luke and the OB family. We love you and thank you so much for all of the great content! You’re a Saturday morning tradition in our house. Obviously we’re huge Guga fans too. its not luke who chooses to keep comments off, youtube disabled comments on his channel he made a video on it
Luke has made a video talking about how UA-cam won't let him turn comments on because his channel features his children and UA-cam blocks comments on those channels to prevent predatory type comments.

His videos are to die for, every single week i watch his videos but now that he started posting videos every other week i have been waiting so long for new videos altough he is still the best youtuber out there. Im new to his channel after seeing his videos on instagram first. Quick question for him or anyone that knows.. he said at the beginning he hasnt been scared in the wdernesss in a long time. Has he ever mentioned seeing anything wild or unexplainable? Such as aliens, ufos, cryptids, random military "training", random people hes ran into out there, or deformed/mutated animals or anything cool? One video i saw on instagram was him sitting in his tent being quiet and listening to wolfs "laugh" outside his tent. Has he had any other unordinary or funny/weird experiences i can check out or heae more of?
I agree I look forward to seeing these videos every week but now it’s every two weeks kind of a bummer but he does a lot of videos hard to do this kind of stuff. I enjoy all of them. I think it’s amazing. How was kids go out with him and negative temperatures and enjoy it.

Usually you don't get this opportunity to tell Luke how good his videos are, the way He takes his children out must scare some people but it should be a requirement if you have them. ppl nowadays are so weird that they think children shouldnt be outside camping in below zero temperatures. Even tough its been proven that being outdoors helps with physical fitness and wellbeing, also mentally, improves skills and helps with anxiety, stress and depression. every kid before smartphones spent their childhood outside and thats how it should be
i came across some clips of outdoor boys on my FB (somehow), and i started watching on youtube, hands down, the best father award, the most knowledge you can get, the content is always wholesome, you learn, you laugh, you cannot ask for any better content than this these days, i love every minute of every video

The fact that this video was released only 3 days ago at the time of commenting and has over 2 million views already, says so much about how many people he's reached. Thanks Guga for doing this. It's one of the most on-point reaction videos I've ever seen. I'm sure I'm not the only one who's jealous that you got to hang out with Luke. Oh and of course I can only hope that those steaks find their way into my dreams.

btw I mean them not killing the fish they catch. they often have a bunch of still moving fish just laying on the ground slowly dying. Its wild to me someone like that does not have any respect for the fish they catch and simply kills them ASAP to avoid suffering.

Luke has to be one of the hardest working UA-camrs out there. Him and his boys have completely blown me away since discovering their channel. If I was in an intense survival situation, I'd take Luke by my side over just about anybody.
FINALLY LUKE APPEARS ON A COMMENTABLE VIDEO, Luke I hope you can see this. I really love your videos especially the trip to Japan with your kids. It was amazing seeing how much weight you have loss overtime doing these activities and camp outs. One of if not the best part of your videos is seeing how a father should treat their kid, taking them out on adventures out in the wild teaching them how to survive. Truly the proper way to teach your kids masculinity and strength in general. If I could ask for anything I would ask for your videos to have comments turned on again(im aware it is youtube's doing) and to see how you would handle other animals in the wild. I understand if it is something you cannot do as it poses risks but I am fine with things as it is now. It is just truly a shame that your comments are turned off. Two of my favourite UA-cam channels together. How awesome!!! Been a fan of Guga for years & Outdoor boys I found couple months ago. Luke is an excellent father & his boys are so blessed to have such an amazing dad. I showed the Outdoor boys channel to my nephew some time ago. He only play video games & don’t like to play outside. After one episode he told me. I want to go camping next summer with you & dad, fish, make fires & do adventures. Thank you Luke for being such an inspiration not just to your kids. But to thousands of other kids around the world 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
i discovered lukes channel maybe a month ago and ive been sooooo in love with all the videos. Not only is it entertaining but also educational, lighthearted, funny, and wholesome. Life hasnt been easy on me for a while now but lukes, positive attitude towards even pretty bad and annoying situations, his calmness, and gratitude really changed my perspective on things and helped me realized that my life isnt as bad as a picture it and that i should be more grateful at times and less angry at the things that happen to me. His videos are like therapy and i hope this family man will keep on living an amazing life with all the joy, health, and happiness for him and his family.

Lukes son is so smart and has so much personality plus always seems to have a good attitude about things, even when he got cut pretty badly a while back he was more of a man about it than I would have been haha he just got stitched up and wanted to go back out and finish the trip. Luke is the one guy on YT, that makes me a better dad. He just shows how u raise ur kids by makin good memories.
Luke is such a good example of positive masculinity. No obsession with control and power. He is family centred and treats his wife so well. He prioritizes her and things she likes to do - painting, collecting shells, spearfishing. He cooks, and makes sure his wife is comfortable, keeps checking in with her and asking if she is enjoying. Rare kind of man to come across, a lot of men are self-centred, obsessed with control and power over their wife.
As a kid Outdoor Boys is my top 1 Idol!! I want to camp with him ❤
