To me they are pure Rock N Roll. Not a Genre Band. They are bigger than that. They are Rock n Roll at it’s Best. Dead Leaves and the dirty Ground......is an Amazing and Mighty Song.
Always love the live versions so much more than the recordings. Jacks singing is way more lose than usual here, guess he tried it like this and decided it to roll it back a bit after.
Yes The White Stripes!! Great fucking band!!! They used a low-fidelity approach to writing and recording. Their music featured a melding of garage rock and blues influences and a raw simplicity of composition, arrangement, and performance!! Jack & Meg can put it down!!!
Jack has an amazing voice. Occasionally he did sing the normal vocals, half of the time he was singing i don't think he was hardly trying to sound like he does on CD.
It's funny but I don't see The White Stripes as a garage band. To me this is simply retro style music with the live performance being the only performance. It was his artistic style to only use the guitar and very simple drums. That's what made him so creative. Jack is so talented it's not even fair.... LOL.
Its an airline, sold by Montgomery Ward in the 60's. You can by wood ones now look up Eastwood Guitars. There pretty cool now that there wood and made decently :)
both pickups didn't work so that's why it was so cheap. just needed some major solder work. I just cant believe I bought that exact model before jack white made it famous!
Do you still have the full video file of this whole concert? If so, can you maybe give us a link? I have been looking for this in a more clearer quality. I have a copy of it but it's all pixelated and every version in the net is.
Luke Marlow lol, They were called jb hutto airlines, or just airlines, What that guy was saying was it was a airline 1959 2 pickup model, Why you gotta be so dense
+Anthony Church It looks like your writing is too...;-) (Just kidding) Style? Method? He is what he is. Lots a people bitch about Meg´s supposedly crap timing. I think it's cool... No one is forcing anyone to listen....
+Michael Tanner His off pitch sloppy vocal's and the fact that he sang the song's lyric's so sarcastically was cringe worthy to me. I'll stick to the studio recording's and save my money when he play's here.
Dude the way they play live is like a dream, the energy they put into a show and how they sound, its amazing, and for you to say you don't like it because of that then you shouldn't be here because this is what the White Stripes are about, simplicity and style (De Stijl). If you watch any interviews with Jack White you would understand them more.
Funny fact: This is The White Stripes first big concert, and the opened it with one of their craziest songs.
I love how Meg puts her hands on her hips when trying to figure out which song Jack is playing next.
To me they are pure Rock N Roll. Not a Genre Band. They are bigger than that. They are Rock n Roll at it’s Best.
Dead Leaves and the dirty Ground......is an Amazing and Mighty Song.
there my biggest inspiration to make music
Same
Can't get over this performance. Energy, sound, so dang good.
Awesome! Great guitar playing, great voice, great choice of songs, great performance, great drums.......
Dead Leaves and The Dirty Ground, my favorite song by this awesome overly short-lived band!
Dead Leaves and a Dead Crowd
They were in awwwww. Listen to that applause 👌👌👌
Thanks The White Stripes, what a great band!!!
I really love this version !

I bought one of those airlines 15 years ago at a pawn shop for $25 fucking dollars. now they're like 1500 bucks on ebay! I just cant sell it though!

But that's not the point
I miss Meg :(
0:29 what is that? Peaking falcon guitar effect? How is it possible to get some accidental sound effects that are so impressive?
the vocal microphone going into feedback from the monitor in front of him (a guess). only great volume can get that.

This song reminds me of The Who song "Naked Eye".
Why are so great videos in 240p ??

Wish Jack could still jump like that :)
9outof10 Wait, he can't?

Don't know how it works, but when Jack turns on volume on this Airline it gets noisy always.

Because he already has.
The first row is like 50yds away from the stage.
Chris J and this is one reason festivals suck and are a waste of money
He sings like he plays guitar

@voodoohijinks looks more like brendon benson than dean
@voodoohijinks looks a lot more like brendan benson then dean
@jennfoster beautifull and natural :)
F'ker leaves it all on stage.

Are you serious? Thisguy is sick. Don't you see it? Can't sing either. What is awesome? The noise he makes or the lyrics?
shitty plastic market guitar xd
0:43 ew
It sounds like he is purposely trying to sound like shit.
+Anthony Church -___- You're new to music I guess?
avedic His guitar playing and vocal's live are a sloppy mess and sound like shit in comparison to the studio recording's.
+Anthony Church It looks like your writing is too...;-) (Just kidding)
