The tall, long and skinny looking helicopter is called a SKYCRANE and it did a heck of a lot more than just lift a container(shipping type) that you thought. Light tanks and other armoured vehicles, artillery pieces to various modules such as control rooms, HQ module to even triage units. Some are still flying today mainly for fire fighting and some rescues. It is a unique unusual and bloody desirable machine. I would love to own and fly one.
That sounds quite useful
The piece in front of the M-60 tank is a mine roller. It's an attachment that goes in front of the tank and rolls over mines in order to detonate them.
Sounds like fun
26.50 Cessna 02A Skymaster twin boom twin engine forward air control / COIN / spotter from Vietnam era made famous by the Bat21 story also offered support to ground troops, a real lady of the sky.
Hmm I’m surprised I’ve never seen one till now
Nice trip . Thanks for the ride along
Glad you enjoyed it!
I would love to go to this museum.
You should its an awesome place!
the plane at 26:49 is a Cessna O-2 Skymaster its an observation plane used to locate downed pilots during the vietnam war, it has a pusher and puller engine.
it is missing its tail and wings.
Thats cool, Im going to go look one up now
@14:57 that would make great camper
I agree! People have done it!
Holy grail of Nam stuff.. sad to see once expensive stuff rotting away, i hope they got most parts out for spares for those that still have life!
I would agree it is the holy grail of stuff!
Th first tank the blue and orange is a remodelled Cheiftain tank made to look like a abrams
Hmmm I would of never known, thanks!
@@weldingandwheeling9883 they only use these tanks as you can own abrams as private collector well at least not yet lol
Motor on the front and back is a means of maintaining laminar flow over the wings but having the thrust benefits of a twin engine
Thats crazy
The Bandvagn 206 (Bv 206) (meaning "Tracked Vehicle 206" in English) is a tracked articulated, all-terrain carrier initially developed and manufactured by the Swedish company Hägglund & Söner, In the US Army it's known as the SUSV (small unit supply vehicle) for artic troops and such.
So it is a “hagglands” then?
@@weldingandwheeling9883 Yep, drove one in the US Army. Has a 5-cylinder Mercedes diesel engine, and yes, the rear cab is powered as you thought.
The border patrol dune buggy engine at 24:28 is a subaru flat four cylinder. Water cooled not air cooled radiator is at the back of the vehicle. At 26:24 is an a-10 thunderbolt II. At 26:36 from left to right are MIL Mi-24 helicopter, Mcdonnell Douglas F-15 eagle, General Dynamics F16 Fighting Falcon, and early Vought A-7 Corsair II
Hmm thanks for pointing out the Subaru I can’t believe I never noticed the radiator. Seems like you have quite the knowledge on this stuff!
That attachment on the ground is for mine clearing it goes on the front of a tank and rolls where the tracks are going to travel
That makes a lot of sense, I figured it was something of that nature.
The oskosh is a hemtt. Heavy expanded mobility tactical truck.
I had heard of Hemtts before but never knew what they stood for.
31:35, In the middle, I believe we have an M32B Sherman Recovery Vehicle.
That sounds very handy to have.
That so called pooper scooper on that buffalo tells you it was a route clearance vehicle... That is an ied probing arm
Hmm, pooper scooper sounds like a lot safer of a task.
Those all Harleys inside the museums I know one person would go crazy on those things it’s called wheels through time he will go crazy and those old Harleys those old diesel dirt bikes, bearded motorcycle his UA-cam channel. He will go crazy in those things too. He’s got one of them and they’re extremely hard to find parts.
The dirt bikes are quite cool for sure!
Detroit 6V53 by the USMC M50 Ontos is type used on M113 family of vehicles.
Hmm that’s good to know! Thanks
Everything there would be cool to own ---- IF you could afford to run it🤔😋
I’ll figure that out after I buy it all 😂
The engine is a R975. 9 cil. From a. Shermantank. Or a. At6 texan plane
Sweet thank you
Cessna sky master used in Vietnam
Awesome thanks
12:58The thing at the front of the M60A3 is in fact the right half of a minerolling device.
Sounds like fun
I'd like the "Husky" or the M114
Id like it all
TOW - Tube-launched, Optically tracked, Wire-guided... not for towwing!
...and that Sikorsky S-64 Skycrane is still in Forest Fire service!
Awesome, love hearing stuff like that
hmm got it thanks!
That towable thing is a mine sweeper
Got it, that makes a lot of sense
radial engine, not rotary
Good catch
It's a Cessna 337
Hmm awesome thanks!
That thing is a mine clearing.
HMM got it thanks
Cessna 02. skymaster
Awesome thanks
Would've been all over that 25pdr Sexton.
I don’t know what that is but thanks for watching!
@@weldingandwheeling9883 29.50. Awesome piece of Canadian Self Propelled Artillary Gun with a 25 pound artillery gun, based on Canadian versions of the M3 Lee and M4 Sherman chassis (Ram and Grizzly tank chassis). The British equivalent to the M7 Priest, which it replaced in British service. The Sexton is one of my favourite Allied tracked vehicle of WW2, along with the Canadian Ram.
😊😊😊😊😊😊😊

Bren gun carrier

@@weldingandwheeling9883 Orange team is the DUTCH team. Memphis depay is the no.1 player at this moment!
Where does someone buy this stuff?
I don't know but I would love to know.
Maybe the tank color scheme is supposed to be a tribute to Ukraine??
Possibly? I'm not sure though.

There's so called total things going on in front of tanks instead of landmines
Hmmmm that makes a lot of sense
What happened to your M38A1s?
I sold them to buy a Wagoneer about 5 years ago. I wish I still had them now of course
