My parents both lived into their 90s after full, productive, well lived lives. Their passing wasn't a shock, or a tragedy, and yet somehow that didn't make the grief any easier. It seems greedy and selfish, but even after having them in my life for so long, I wanted more time with them even so.

I remember a nurse in the hospital saw my sadness when my Mother passed and she said " I can see how much you loved her and she loved you. That sadness, go there but don't stay there. Its devastating, my condolences. But at least he had both his parents for 60 years, and they lived into their 90s. Much more than most people get. My mom died when I was 24, and my mom was much younger than 90.

I have never met my parents. Yet, I feel Conan is lucky to have known them and all of the things that come with having them in his life.
My Great Grandma passed 10 years afrer my Great Grandpa but every day she never stopped loving him after his death.
My grandfather died about ten years ago, and my father died two years ago, my grandmother says that all she wishes is to see them again.
