Did you intentionally use pieces about 1/3 the size of each other? I really love the look of this piece! Well done.

Do you solder a second or a third inlay into the marquise bezel or do you make it shorter by filing down the upper part? Günther Clemenz
I usually have two layers or 3 if it is a really deep stone, and then file the bezel down to the appropriate height. Good question Günther!
What is the large file and where did you get it? My files are needle files and too small for what I frequently need.
It is a single cut Bastard Mill file. They can be gotten at most hardware stores.
