My guess is that the wall was thin and tall enough in the back to pinch the sides gently underneath. Like a backwards bezel setting or a make-shift wraptite setting.
Those cuts are outstanding tho, his editing skills are just amazing, and he never ceases to make me laugh hysterically. So much chaos and hilarity in one video. I missed him so much. Those yoga poses at the end blew me away. 😂❤

PMC3 (precious metal clay) is the current iteration, but it has been around for at least 20 yrs. It's not cheap though, just fyi. They have different formulas: sheet, syringe, flex, etc, and different metals these days: copper, silver, gold alloy.

I've tried working with that stuff, it's not nearly as easy you make it look😅 it dries out fast, cracks constantly, gets slimey with a hint of water and I cried every time I had to wash $5 worth of it off my fingers 😂 such a big beautiful piece, those tentacle details and the way you applied them was fascinating. Another inspiring video, guess I'll try it again ❤

Very impressive for your first metal clay piece. The fact that it's white coming out of the kiln has nothing to do with silver oxides though. The surface of the .999 fine silver is microscopically bumpy and doesn't look shiny until you smooth those bumps through burnishing/polishing. Also, your wife can use the silver clay decorating her pottery pieces too, many folks have done that.
It is gorgeous. When you scrubbed the white off my jaw dropped. You’ve created a incredibly unique and beautiful piece of jewelry. I love how you do your videos it makes them really fun to watch.
There is no "white stuff" to scrub off. what you see as white is fine silver in the crystalline form, sort of like how crystals appear on the inner side of a geode. When burnished or compressed, the surface becomes reflective.
And how an opal from Lightning Ridge Australia got into Bobby's wee apparatus will just have to be accepted as one of life's mysteries. I'm just glad Bobby's experiences are also my experiences.

I remember using this clay in art class in high school and it was SO cool! Apparently it's super expensive (or our school system just cared more about funding sports than art...) so we only got a tiny amount to work with but I still managed to make a really pretty little charm!

If you look closely right as he's placing the bezel into the kiln, he has built 4 prongs into the back of the bezel. 🤷♀️

a tiny bit of olive oil on your finger tips prevents it from sticking. Used to work with it some 15 years ago.

I`ve made a few things with PMC (precious metal clay) over the years. It`s great stuff and really easy to work with. The possibilities are endless!
Have you used it to create a functional heart valve replacement? Better to say "vast" rather than "endless".

My good man... as a recent (yet avid) devote of your projects, I feel I must respectfully declare a large smoked sausage of beef, veal, and pork (aka, bologna) when you repeatedly state in MANY videos that you "don't know what you're doing."
