1:50 That note is already brutally difficult to hit on a trumpet to where only a small percentage of college players can hit it. Being able to hit that note in college is huge as a jazz lead trumpet.
It’s all practice. Apart from the super high note, I can hit every other note (albeit it must be a good day for a few of them), and I rarely practiced until recently when I picked up my trombone again after almost 10 years of not playing. Although that super high note is a rarity. Few can ever play that and have it actually sound more then a squeak.
Its some amazing work, I've only spotted one error at 1:58 in the drum fill: its transcribed as a beat of semiquavers however it is a sextuplet based fill Awesome job!
FYI 0:55 3rd measure, lead trombone part, staccatos aren't accurate. First two should be "_" and then the 3rd is "." At least that is how the musician performed it. After watching more, this error actually continues throughout the piece.
With the range that he plays in for most of the time, it felt more appropriate to do so. 8vas were used anyway with Tenor clef, so reading in bass would be a nightmare in my opinion.
@@peeph If it were me, I would assume because trombone is rarely notated in treble clef, where when it is, it's in the key of Bb. I think he used treble clef when necessary, like when the notes were absurdly high, although to be fair you could also notate 8va or 15ma at those times as well.
@@peeph most classical trombone pieces are written in tenor and even alto clef (mostly for alto trombone, but most russian composers' music is written in alto clef as well.)

OHHH that foghorn at 1:20.... Incredible

Probably would be too high for human hearing lol
I’m in high school and can barely play it as a trumpet player. The fact that he can play that high so well on trombone is amazing.
I've done it probably once, coming from a high school senior in our wind ensemble.
Is it a double g#? (On trumpet)

Nice job man! I still don't get how he can play so high haha

Sensible use of tenor clef on UA-cam?! This bassoonist is pleased.
Tenor clef is gross. Source: am trombone player 😂
This former-trombonist-turned-euphonist is not pleased lmao. Bass clef with ledger lines >>>
Say the inventor of the playable subcontrabassoon, which probably isn't so pleasing in its tenor register...
@@kevinzhengmusic Even its most extreme notes are at most baritone-register so that's fair.
Almost all of christopher bill's sheet musics have at least one tenor clef.
What an awesome arrangement!!! And in a hard key, also!! Kudos!
A fine arrangement, a masterful performance.
I like this!

Awesome job!
Also, the bass trombone is notated an octave up at 2:28
there are more errors in the drum transcription
@@jasperkroeze2165 yeah Ive seen, the previous fills aswell
I love this version. It's in the same key as the original song by Stevie Wonder!!! Thanks for the transcription!!! 👍👍👍👍👍👍

Is there a right in Bb treble clef for trombone
good song< I liked it
Same with this treble clef tenor trombonist in Bb
play this at 1.25x speed and you got a Mario cart soundtrack
This guy pretty good but next time he should pick a harder key signature. OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG
Yeah, he should’ve done it in B# major
What app did you use to put this piece together???
I used Musescore 3, it's free to download and what I use for all my arrangements and transcriptions
I’m scared of one thing in this world as a trombonist.
Alto clef
why was tenor clef used?

@@jaqthetrombone fair enough but would it not be practical to use treble and if needed use an 8vb?

Why alto clef tho :(
Look at that crazy key signature. I'm impressed but not for me. It sounds great nonetheless.
