Oh in my art university this would be just called drawing, comics drawings, doodling for us is supposed to be the type of art where you do not lift the hand/pencil from the paper neither use an eraser. Therefore if you would do a drawing of some eyes, nose and mouth they would definitely be connected by at least one line. Beautiful comics drawings though.
Clearly, this guys have different aproach to drawing, he didnt think what hes want to draw and then draw it, he rather procedurally generate hes doodles. Watch hes early videos, he used to draw in slightly other styles, he experimented with animations and whats most importamt, he spend like more than thaousands hours on drawing. During this time he build his "database" of shapes and ideas. During drawing he just combine them like a bricks. Thats also I think is the reason why his style simplified during years, because u cant really draw more complicated, detailed and 3 dimension stuff without actually thinking abaut what u want to do, and make it fast. Keeping it that simple he can combine all his schemas nearly randomly, specially at this cartoonish and little surrealistic convention. But as I said, most important thing here, is that he just spend thousands and thousands hours on drawing and deweloping his style, so like every professional in any activities he just dont think about it anymore, he just do it. It become natural like a breathing.
