- An artist from the UK has achieved his childhood dream - to live in a house full of doodles.
Sam Cox, known as Mr Doodle, has covered every inch of his home, from his bedding to his microwave - with doodle art.
Mr Doodle's popularity soared internationally after his videos on social media racked up millions of views, and in 2020, he was the world's fifth most successful artist aged under 40 at auction.

The most impressive about this guy is the patience of his wife
😂
Well, if your work fetches you the money you want, . It just makes it that much motivated I guess.
Why not? She doesn't need to cook
because she has to swallow ginger pubes?
Or that he has a wife.
I did this on a piece of paper once, filled the whole thing. My dad told me it was a waste of paper and time. I'll never forget that. I am so proud of this duddle.
duddle off
Awwww you're adorable sweetie, so cute
technically he wasnt wrong...
@@KaosTheory89 you have no sense of art dude. It's really sad.
Your dad sure sounds fun
The most amazing thing is he even doodled the news anchor's shirt.
Genau das dachte ich auch 👍
Yes I noticed that. first thing I thought.
I didnt spot that! Where is it?
@@dinekevinke2268 0:01 look at her shirt
😂
Its pretty crazy that he can come up with so many different images and not repeat them over and over.
Actually, some of them are! You can see the sunflower in many shots and th cloud in a few, and that's only a few
@@casper6014 I think you get what they’re saying.
Yes, but still gives me headaches and my eyes will start playing up. If I wake up and find doodles everywhere in the bedroom, the kitchen, the bathroom… I would need some Panadol everyday…
@@gb4771 God forbid if someone took mind altering substances in that house.
No way you're not going insane after a week of living there
These are the kind of things you’d see when tripping balls. I think the mind would explode if tripping in this house 😂
He probably got used to it
Love the feeling though
This is not as easy as he makes it seem. His hand to eye coordination is insane, and his confidence in not messing up is crazy.
I respect his passion and commitment, but I would hate to live in that house.
passion and commitment? So that is what nuerotic behaviour is called these days.
@@public.public That's so uncalled for
good thing it isn't your house then (meant in a very lighthearted manner)
I feel the same way. It’s really cool to look at, but I would go crazy being in there for too long. He even colored on the windows! 😭
I doubt the artist actually lives there himself. I haven't watched his videos though.
I would go insane in that house.
Still his doodles are fascinating and very artistic
It looks amazing !!! This house should be a museum .
Thank you
I was thinking the same thing
I think it will have to be, I can't imagine anyone buying it to live in.
There is
Not just the doodles.. but the perfection of his doodling is just soooooo much admirable 🤩😍🥹
@Roger Mellie how the fuck is cartoon animals pretentious what
@Roger Mellie Your bait flopped lol
YEA It looks sooooo clean
@Roger Mellie let me guess. Internet troll?
Roger don't give in. Your assessment is correct. Postmodern crap charading as art is indeed pretentious.
Omg may this become a museum, this is amazing at so many levels.
I agree 🏠🎨👌🏽😍💯
Show us this guy again after 3 years.
A doodled padded room
Or his family
Dmitrii, after three years he would have doodled his entire neighborhood. Lol 😆
@@curiositycloset2359 his perfect freedom
I might go nuts if I lived there
I WOULD go nuts if I lived there!
I would not be able to handle that house at all. I got a headache looking at it in the video. Not even joking. I'm happy about his success, but his wife is a saint.
The whole dam house is an art piece.
No it's a headache.
@@public.public it is art, and i dont get why so many people are bullshitting him when hes doing what he loves
@@public.public Is that the only thing you say or
Wow. I remember when he was just starting out making videos. This is amazing! Great job Mr. Doodle! Congratulations on a dream well done
Surely I can’t be the only one that thinks this is completely insane?
Getting paid $1,000,000 for doodling definately is.
What the market likes, the market pays!
What’s more insane? Actually living out your wildest childhood dreams or going so sit in a cubicle for 45 hours a week? This man know who he is, and doesn’t care. He probably thinks people are insane for doing something they hate 5 days a week
@@chad-park-guitar I am all for supporting the arts but this appears to be more of a compulsion than a passion. Creating art is one thing but when you cover your entire home in scribbles whilst wearing clothing also covered in such patterns then your sanity most definitely comes into question. Any rational person would suffer a migraine within minutes of entering.
As for what most people do for a living, It’s important to keep in mind that the more common jobs in our world are what keep society functioning and allow people to pursue artistic careers such as this. If everyone spent their lives doodling we’d all starve and regress to the dark ages.
@fab I’ve already stated in another response that I’m not criticising the art itself but the fact that he has covered an entire house in which he actually lives whilst also wearing the same designs as clothing. Clearly I’m not the only one that finds this more than a bit odd given that almost 50 others agree with me.
@@seankilburn7200 Artists always lean towards insanity, because they are prone to q chaotic nature, which in turn is linked to mental disease. A creative person is often cursed by their gift.
This would drive me literally bonkers. I would wake up covered in blood and remember nothing about the previous two weeks as my brain slowly cooked.
edit: I should say that I do like his work. I would be a bit overwhelmed by a house covered in them, however.
I can never freehand that since my hand will get sweaty AF...good lord he made the house complete he is a living legend!
The bed, the wall, the dress, everything is camouflaged.
His art sold for under a million so he created a ginormous art. I guess now it can sell for millions. Let it be art and live elsewhere, somewhere less blinding may be.
His consistency is outstanding. He has a lot of discipline in his art.
It's very cool, but the echo you can hear as you go through the house makes you realise its just nothing but hard surfaces. That would drive me more insane than the doodles everywhere.
This guy covered basically everything he comes across in doodles and his videos are amazing
Unreal the flow of the doodles are amazing
Amazing work Mr Doodle
Stunning! I love it.
You know whose name I remember?
Keith Haring
You know whose name I'll never remember?
This guy
EXACTLY!!!
Yup my sentiments. This guy is making a living of his legacy.
D Nice is definitely not what you are, that’s for sure-
He’s not doing it for you mate
I've never heard of this man but I'm extremelly impressed. This is soooo cooool
Imagine doing shrooms in that house 😳
Faak
LSD
Trippin Daisy
Wow what a lot of amazing work
I wanna live there. His doodle style looks fantastic
Absolutely crazy and amazing too.
Everyone is a weirdo. That's why life is never dull.
Wow he's goooood. He is very talented. I love the designs of his doodles. I'm impress and I love his top.
He looks like a mad scientist
Beautiful
That is so cool! 😍
"The difference between being crazy and being a genius is in the results"
Love it! Looks amazing 💐
Could you live(!!) in it?
@@ChrisM541 um, my eyes would start aching after a while but definitely talented young man!
I love his creativity 👍
@ellen ellen no way!
Enjoy headaches do you?
Seriously? He is a one-trick-pony! Talk about infantile repetition !!!
@@ChrisM541 I’m sure your life must be worth much more than this “infantile repetition” to say such a thing, perhaps it is you’re so banal in life you have a negative visceral reaction towards free expression left only to be prideful in your strict cage of living as theres nothing else to it.
@@V01DIORE Indeed.
This is soo trippy i love it 😭❤️
Now *this* is a news story I'll gladly watch on repeat. The world needs more news stories that aren't just outright depressing.
I hope he's used paint markers. Sharpie and other 'permanent' markers are not actually permanent. They use aniline dyes which are fugitive. Depending on exposure to light and air, they badly fade after 15-20 years in indirect light. (I always loved Keith Herring's work, so this is wonderful, and wonderfully different.)
Even got the presenters shirt
amazing !!!
Wow! This is so amazing! During my childhood days, I used to dream of living in a house in which all the walls are filled with colourful paintings. But then I used to consider it myself as a crazy wish. 😅
But here, Mr. Doodle proves that any beautiful dream can make sense and be realised, if we're determined to work for it. ❤
👏👏👏
If I had to compare him to any other artist, it would be KEITH HARING! I like his doodles, he's extremely creative and very talented BUT...not sure I can handle ALL of those doodles ALL the time ...but then again it makes him happy and that's all that matters.
Yes, VERY Keith Haring-like. He’s even got something like a crawling baby! LOL.
Absolutely fantastic! Some good news for a change!
The state of art.
Happy to see Keith Haring's inspiration live on
IT LOOKS SO GOOD
The Keith Harings art
I think I would have discreetly coloured the first and last doodles to see if anyone noticed lol
I think this looks incredible. I love that he's wearing doodle clothes so he kind of looks like a floating head. His drawings are so cheery and peaceful but when the whole surfaces are covered, you get this cool shifting mosaic effect.
I would go insane waking up to that😵💫
I need that marker it’s perfect! 🌸💕
Bless
Looks awesome.
Ok my mind’s set: I’ll do this to the wall of my dormitory room
Can we appreciate how he didn’t mess up once to what we have seen
He was lucky to have such accommodating and supportive PARENTS... I'm not sure if I was his wife if I'd be to happy about painting the whole kitchen with paint, hes not sure it will allow them to actually use the stove etc. I know there is heat resistant paint available as I've used it to refurbish my BBQ Grill... There's an idea that will let him continue his Doodles...
Get the heat resistant paint and do it again... That way if he's in the dog house with the MRS. He's potentially got a way to redeem her good OPINION.
There's a longer video that has his wife in it and she's HAPPY to be there with him...
@@MegaSickcat Yeah, but what they don't tell you is that she DOESN'T live there - she lives in a 'normal' house a reasonable distance away!
Why is it so normal for straight people to hate their spouse you’re supposed to support each other!
@@BirdaeBlue most of us do... But reality requires that if they decide to take a ride on the crazy train ... One of you needs to stay at the station and try to get their train back on the tracks... That is also supporting your spouse
And if you complain about your spouse that doesn't mean you HATE THEM.... It just means there are occasions when they bought YOU a ticket on the crazy train.... It means your HUMAN not Saints.
It's like Keith Haring never existed, the journalist, the comment section, mystifying.
Such a very intresting art, I realy like that
This really makes me think of Maison Picassiette. I love it!
This is amazing but my eyes can't handle it for more than 1 minute
Absoldoodly mental mate luv it
So did the value of the home increase or decrease
Admire is determination and ability but it's a style of work that's been done by other artists for decades. Keith Haring was the first and really unmeasurable with this type of work.
Love to walk in and wander around, but to eat, sleep and live I think I appreciate a blank wall so my eyes can have a rest
More impressive is how this guy became a millionaire being an artist in the 2020s.
This should be an exhibition instead of their home.
WOW! Amazing
I want this home! It awesome!
Very creative people
In a way it makes it look very grand inside
very nice!
Epic doodles! :D
It's like a live in art museum. Imagine the colors.
It's black and white, the only color I see is his Boris Johnson looking ginger hair
Cool for a bit but I'd probably start getting the spins after awhile. Lol
It's an illness but he finds the cure in it. Makes him more focus
Its well impressive that he even managed to doodle on the presenters dress too
0:33 he's doodled himself into a corner there
This BBC news broadcaster really gets into her stories! Wearing that doodle shirt!!! 🤣🤣🤣
My eyes are sore.
Now he needs to paint his roof white and doodle the roof!!! It's killing me
I can only imagine him inviting a drunk friend and went like “yo bro the walls are moving, daaammnn”💀
like how the news lady is wearing
a mr doodle shirt.😂
It's really tragic art and remembers me king Midas (the greek king who turned everything he touched into gold - even his wife): this artist can't even use his cooking stove because of his art =(.
This house can be a museum but you can't live in it continuously because when you see the same pattern every where your mind go crazy this doesn't looks like a home where you can live
His house is itself a museum 😮
this guy needs to get put more
Genius
Where I live, there is Keith Haring's "Tuttomondo" ..
I think he would appreciate all that job
He’s a contemporary artist whose market has been pretty strong with lots of Asian collectors.
And look at what the news anchor is wearing at the beginning. Can't be a coincidence. Brilliant!
I would love to live in his house or visit there ❤️
Really? I'd go crazy and jump off the roof to my Death 💀
@@cocoduck7745 Just do it with your own home! It’s that easy!
You can't possibly convince me that she accidentally wore THAT top on THAT day. 🤣
He even doodled the news readers top 😁 Legend 🙌
Made me remember Yayoi Kusama. Just remember.
YES!!!!! She got into DOTS (among other things) ..>Geezus I never saw anyone else even know her name...She is super talented...
