Not really. But it should be subconsciously. After all, visions still help them in being eternal or stagnant in a sense of being passive (in solitary) rather than active (in community).
Depending on which side they are, they will still be granted electro visions. Because those people who upholds the values of Transience (those who live fully in their moment) and Eternity (those who live with their pursuit of something) will be given one.
But yeah, this is just my speculation of Electro based on the V.2 Updates

@@lynnthomas8457No, the last Electro vision was granted 2 years ago, which was around the time the Ei and the Shogun probably decided that even though Celestia was giving the decree to give visions, they just wouldn't follow through. In other words, it was not by their will, as in they just didn't want to.

it is possible that Ei simply didn't know since her sister was the main archon and after she died, Ei was obsessed with eternity and creating puppets. Raiden might have noticed the lack of electro visions but she simply didn't care

I don't think Ei lied, I think Celestia grants *normal* visions, the ones literally every other Genshin has, by splitting off parts of the authorities they stole. Furina's Vision, however, is a *Sovereign* Vision (because of the little claws/teeth) granted directly by the Hydro Sovereign himself, bypassing Celestia entirely.

They are AFK, in the interaction between Nahida and the Doctor, Nahida threatens The Doctor by breaking the gnosis and waking up the heavenly principals which means that they are currently dormant and only something truly impactful like the destruction of a gnosis could POTENTIALLY wake them up... which makes me wonder if they will start to stir with the destruction of a throne of the seven???

Visions being granted for a wish may explain why kazuha got access to his friend’s vision to block Raiden’s sword. The vision was created with a wish in mind and that wish came to fruition from beyond the grave.
wasn't the second vision electro? he was fencing off the shogun. assuming visions are granted when archons spare their power, i don't think it makes much sense.
@@velscriptthe wish or better said the "will" in Kazuha's friend visions was to defeat the ultimate technique of the Shogun Raiden, that was his last will and so it reactivated to help Kazuha achieve that.

Then near the end of the Archon Quest "The Omnipresent God", when Raiden tried to slash the traveler with the "Musou no Hitotachi", Kazuha jumped to deflect the slash Then the electro vision of his friend reacted for he thus, "Dared to brave the lightning's glow."

My interpretation is that Visions are still given by Celestia BUT they take from the Archon's power via the Gnosis to grant Visions to allogenes. Remember, Gnoses are chess pieces which means Archons are more like Regents rather than Sovereigns like the dragons. They are still tied down by Celestia but Neuvillette is different because he is an actual Dragon Sovereign, which is why he has the choice to grant Hydro Visions or not. Gnoses are remains of the Third Descender that had been used to keep the Sovereignty of the dragons away from them, likely because Celestia knew they would reincarnate. Even after Focalors gave back Neuvillette's sovereignty, the Hydro Gnosis still exists which means this sovereignty is what enables the granting of Visions. It makes sense since the Traveler, as a Descender, cannot grant Visions but has high compatibility with the elements to wield them without needing a Vision.
The Archons do not get to choose who gets a Vision of their element or not, but they can set the standard through their "ideals" which is why Electro Visions became limited when Ei locked herself away and stopped when the Sakoku Decree was declared. Notice how most of those who have Electro Visions are solitary: Razor was raised by wolves and thus ostracized from humans, Fischl is a chunibyo locked in her fantasy, Beidou got her Vision by taking on Haishan ALONE and jumping into the sea, Kuki Shinobu ran from the life expected of her, Kujou Sara swore absolute fealty to the Raiden Shogun without exception, Yae Miko chose to let all of this happen also as a servant to the Shogunate, Cyno was eventually banished due to his sense of justice that made him wish to rebel against the sages, Lisa chose a quiet life rather than a path of greatness (not to mention how her mind was so astute that she was granted a Vision simply by wishing for it), etc... They got Electro Visions because they reflected the solitude Ei had implicated on herself, the ideal she had set with a fortitude that shall be unbeatable to the point it is eternal. When the Sakoku Decree basically forbade Visions, Ei subconsciously stopped "giving parts of herself" to grant Electro Visions. Ei may not have known the details of this process because Makoto was the original Electro Archon, and there was no way for her to truly understand this when she is so obsessed with eternity at the time. In fact, I think only the Original Seven knew about the specifics the moment they were bestowed the Gnoses and only two are left. Both Venti and Zhongli are elusive when it comes to telling truths about it too, likely because either Celestia prohibited them from speaking about it or just because they do not like to talk about it since that would mean acknowledging that Celestia still has a leash on them.
In the Chinese name for Visions, it is literally translated as "eyes of god" which alludes to Celestia watching every single worthy candidate to godhood. This is their way of keeping the ambitions of allogenes in line with their authority, just as how they use the Gnoses (translated as "heart of god" in its Chinese term) to keep the Archons on a leash-holding them by the heart, so to speak. Dainsleif also implied this with his comment about Vennessa long ago, about how she takes flight yet remains under the watch of the heavens.
Yae said in her "About vision" story (maxed affinity story) that her vision was just an ornament and not really a true vision, which might come from the fact that she is a kitsune (and so a demon), which is really close related to the god's true names (Baal, Buer, Focalors, Barbatos, Morax) which are powerful demons names, while "Paimon" is the king of the demons in the same religion.
Also in french the name of Visions are translated to "Divine's eyes", which joins your theory about a potential next god seat filler...
Correction: the Gnoses were created by the remains of the third descender yes, but it's speculated that they help grant affinity to the elements. Similar to how the travelers ability works, but it empowers that ability (while also being used to channel energy directly from Celestia) from what Venti mentioned.
The Gnoses were not to keep the sovereignty from the sovereigns, that's what the archon throne does. It holds the authority of the sovereigns. The Gnoses is a different thing entirely, hence why Neuvilette gave up the Gnosis, because he already regained his authority when focalors destroyed the hydro throne.
@@raurisaurus5057 Yes, but the Gnoses are connected to the Archon Throne which is more of a symbolic entity while the Gnoses are a more tangible representation. Gnoses are granted to Archons only and, according to Azhdaha's remarks, Zhongli was no longer Archon because he gave up his Gnosis. This leads me to believe that while a Gnosis can still exist separately even after destroying the Archon Throne to which it is connected, there is a possibility that vice versa might not be the case-which is why Nahida's initial threat to destroy the Gnoses in her hands at the time held weight. If she had destroyed her Dendro Gnosis, she could have also destroyed the Dendro Archon's Throne without having to die like Focalors (whom only managed to hand over her Gnosis to Neuvillette after she died). There is still no other concrete explanation to the value or even function of the Gnoses, and most of the things revealed are still vague so these are all just speculations.
@@StarlightAnamnesis Yeah, the main problem is to many words go against others. Azdaha implies that you need a Gnosis to be an archon, whilst Venti mentioned it just has ties to Celestia, whilst Focalors mentions it's a separate entity and so does Skirk.
I think the biggest issue is Mihoyo explains lore through character perspectives rather than external narration, meaning every hint of lore we get is based off what that character knows or perceives the information as, whereas it could be improper lore altogether.
(Like how we thought archons gave visions when Klee thought barbaros gave her her vision) but then Ei claims that she had no idea since she never granted visions, but then Neuvilette says that visions are granted by sending wishes to the archons and it's their duty to grant them (whether that means they do it subconsciously or consciously) and the greater gift I believe was said to be granted to Celestia if I'm not mistaken.
Like you said it's speculation. I like the way Mihoyo narrates genshin through perspective, but at the same time it can be aggravating early on since it takes so long for them to update story content, whilst also leaving so many loose ends and contradictions
I still think the Gnosis aren't tied to the thrones since Focalors is the only one to actually destroy them, and grant the authority back to its original owner. Especially when Skirk mentions they are bad luck. It also is evidenced by Ei who is more or less in her prime or close to it and she discarded the Gnosis awhile ago, and she still retains electro authority. I believe the reason the Gnosis are granted to archons are due to increase the archons affinity by channeling the power from Celestia, but also as a way for Celestia to monitor and leash the archons (which would connect to skirks bad views on them), or perhaps Gnosis can increase ones authority but that's not really much different from elemental affinity. Perhaps the other archons also aren't aware of the archon "throne" that focalors was aware of. But we aren't sure.
Also with the Gnosis potentially being a key for Celestia to monitor the nations, that would be why destroying one would potentially awaken the heavenly principles, whereas simply exchanging them isn't enough to awaken them (implying they are dormant right now). It would also make sense since the archon thrones may not be in direct correspondence to Celestia, but something Celestia created when they stole the authority from the sovereigns, which would mean the destruction of a throne would go unnoticed since it is not what Celestia uses to monitor the nations, but instead the Gnosis.
In the end we all know Klee would just obliterate the shades and Phane and there is no real need for these Gnosis or thrones. Even the sovereigns can't compete with that child

If you read all the Archons and even Neuvillette's stories "About Visions" they all say that a fragment of the Archons power is used to PASSIVELY give people Visions depending on the person's Ambition. They don't actively choose who gets power. This is managed by Celestia and more precisely the "Thrones" of the Seven.

Important to note that archons are the conduits through which visions are granted and receive a faction of an archons "mastery" over their element, likely through a gnosis and it's possible celestia are somehow involved due to allogenes being capable of ascension. Although archons seem completely unaware of when a vision is granted or who receives it, Furina's vision casing is also unique with dragon claws/fangs around it to show how ascended Neuvillette set aside some of his full elemental authority to share with future vision wielders.

Ei didn't lie. She said that she has no controll over if a vision is granted or not. And like stated in the short: archons are obligated to give out visions.
From the archon’s perspective, the Vision dispensing is automatic. Neuvillette has better access and can directly give Visions, even if whoever normally does it disagrees. This means that usual dispenser deliberately withheld Electro Visions so the mortals wouldn’t know something was up.

@@gachatana9656 No, because on the timeline at first Primodial One came to Teyvat which was ruled at that time by dragons. Then Primodial One (the first descender) declare war against these dragons and created humans at the end. Then "the second who came" (more likely Celestia) went to Teyvat and became "the second descender". Everyone want to rule Teyvat so they fought and then "the one who came after" (the third descender) help PO to establish gnosis, sacrificing themself in the process or lose and just PO took its body to create gnosis.

The gnosis is COMPLETELY unrelated to the dragons power. Its a fragment of the third descenders body that amplifies elemental energy.
The "dragons authority" is ingrained in whoever is currently "sitting" on the divine throne. Thus why Focalors had to destroy said throne instead of just handing over the gnosis to Neuvillette. And why Neuvillette was able to grant Furina a vision despite not having the gnosis.

Neuvillette says it himself during act 4. The current hydro archon would NEED to perish(without leaving a successsor) in order for him to regain his full power. Because the power of the dragons are INSIDE the archons themselves. Not the gnosis.

I gotta say, I wasn't really excited for Fantaine at all, but Neuvillette and Furina are such greats characters, they became among my favorite characters super easily, lore-wise.
She didn't lied, according to the lore the archons don't know who or what the wishes are the system is just automated.
They can kinda influence it, however not on command, but rather through the values and concepts they represent, so if someones wish and ambition are affinitive to one of the Archons, they get the respective vision.

It's not the archon that gives out vision, they just set aside a fragment of their authority over the element. It's said that when someone's ambition reach the sacred threshold, another entity (from celestia) will distribute the fragments. But furina's vision was indeed given by Neuvillette. Her vision is very unique because it's not bound to celestia.
Talk about a lack of reading comprehension.. No, Ei didn't lie. Furina is an obvious special case in that she, alone, received her vision from Neuvilette. You can even see that her vision is different compared to other Fontaine visions.
Please don't mislead people with videos like this. The fandom already gets wildly out of hand with misconceptions as it is.
Thats just people purposefully misreading chraracter lore, in order to make them look bad, for whatever reason. Especially Raidens character is kind of "victim" of this. Ei didn't really lied she said that is out of her jurisdiction granting or not granting visions and Neuvillette story profile solidifies this, as he understands the archons doesn't choose the people, the wish of the person has to resonate and pierce the threshold of the divine gaze by Celestia standards, Neuvillette understands his way of vision granting because he's using a method akin to the blessings of the dragon of old and he's in complete control of that, Ei said that apart from wishes theres another piece of the equation and taking into consideration what we learned from the Narzissenkreuz Ordo it most likely has to do with the deity or deities controlling fate and the stars

I always thought celestia is the one giving visions. Because Archon's power comes from gnosis which contains power from ancient dragons that are taken by celestia and the reason neuvillette can give it as he wish is because he got his power back

Especially after seeing that bird literally just like him fighting Ei in the inazuma cinematic.
The thing was that he managed to escape and decided to go into exile, eventually arriving in Mondstadt on that rainy night and seeing a certain heartbroken girl in the library.
And as such, it was HE who offered the Vision to Fischl, in exchange for his eye. In this way Fischl gained the ability to see through Oz's eyes and even teleport to his position.

I think there's still more to this. Ei says specifically that it's "not by her will that visions are granted or denied," which suggest that it's not a decision made by archons, which makes sense given that Scara still receives his anemo vision even after Venti lost his gnosis. Furina's vision being slightly different because Neuvillette held the gnosis suggests that visions and gnoses are related so perhaps the gnoses themselves are capable of granting visions. It wouldn't be that unusual to see divine objects with consciousnesses embedded in them anyway, after all, raiden's own consciousness is in her sword
It's not about the Gnosis. It's about the Archons and their authorities. Neuvillette was able to grant Furina a vision because he now has the full authority of Hydro Sovereign, and he already gave the Gnosis away before giving Furina her vision.
The Archons are able to give visions to humans using their divine authorities powered by the archon divine thrones.
That's how I think they do it.

I dont think Ei lied, in fact both she and Neuvilette are correct. Ei doesn't know when someone gets a vision, or who gets it. But she can choose the reason why yoi get them.
Electro visions have not been delivered for years ever since the start of the Vision Hunt, and we know that the reason Ei allowed the Vision Hunt is because she thinks vision holders are against her ideal of Eternity.
Its possible that what gives the Vision is the archon seat which holds the dragons authority, but the Archons ideals define the reasons why someone would recieve one.
That's why Neuvilette wanted furina to perform as Clio. He just wanted to give her a vision so badly.

Are we going to talk about wanderers vision? All the anemo boys protect traveler and it proves that venti could be making sure that we are safe. So many characters that saved us are anemo boys, and wanderer just got his anemo vision right after protecting the traveler, this should prove that venti gives out anemo visions to anyone who protects the traveler.

At the end of the Mondstatdt archon quest, Venti tells us people with visions can attain godhood and they’re called allogenes (literally no one remembers this but it’s never mentioned again)
"Visions harnesses elements......So, Back then...They were aware of this when they stood beside me'". This was a line said by Zhongli talking about Visions and Visionholders. From what it seems, extremely power allogenes (ones worthy of being ascended to Celestia) can sense the powers of an Archon.
I think the visions are given out by the sovereigns, thus making both Ei's statement and Neuvillette's action make sense.

I kind of figured this out during the Raiden archon quest line cause they always talk about how people have such strong wishes or desires and are granted visions plus when they lose their vision they lose that dream and ambition

The vision lore has been around on the internet for over a year even before Fontaine or sumeru or inazuma.
Since Neuvellete knew that Celestia want to give Furina a vision would mean that the archon/sovereign knows exactly who they would grant a fraction of their elemental mastery. It makes more sense that the archon/sovereign should know who they need to give their element to. The they don't know part is "who celestia would choose".
Neuvellete simply allowed Celestia of their distributing vision tradition for Furina.
She didn't lie. She said that they were not given out by her will, not that she didn't give them out. It is Celestia's will that hears the wishes of the people and commands the archons to grant them power.
The archons's power gives the visions, but the archons do not give them, except Neuvillette.
