@@GearsandGasoline Ford QuickLane tech here, the recommended service intervals is actually 80k on those F-150s. Some of the cars they recommend 100k, but I'd personally do that shit every 50k myself and my dealer (chain of dealers in my state) recommends those fluids every 75k. I'd recommend new cabin/engine air filters every 3-4 oil changes and change the oil religiously every 4000-4500 miles. Our customers who do that have the longest lasting trucks. Just the other day I worked on a 2012 F-150 with the 5.0l in it that had 290,003 miles on it. They're great trucks. The highest mileage beast I've ever worked on was a 2002 F-350 7.3l Diesel, 524,059.2 miles. The truck had never had an issue, other than a couple minor leaks. Not even half a quart of oil between changes. Ford does make some of the most reliable vehicles out there, and they do make some piles of shite, like the Escape, EcoSport, Fiesta, and the Focus. Also, the smaller EcoBoost engines are trash. The 2.0l and 3.5l are the only decent ones. But the 2.7l, 1.5l, and 1.6l Ecos are all trash. Take care of the truck and she'll last you a good long time without any trouble at all. Also, those air filters get black really quickly. Just thought I'd add that. I've seen them go black in as low as 15,000 miles on those trucks. You wouldn't believe how bad the diesels go through them.
@@DRII-yv1yt I have personally seen a 2.7 Eco with blown piston rings at 49,000mi. And it was taken care of. And not ripped on or abused. He had fuel in his oil. He ended up junking a 3 year old truck and buying a 5.0 and he's already put 35,000 trouble free towing miles on it.

The replacements are yellow. The part number is FA-1883, actually. What I'm surprised by is that they didn't take the cabin out and replace it. But those air filters will start to look like that after about 5 months on those trucks. I work on at least 7 Coyote F-150s a day (just like this guy's truck) and a lot of them come back within a few months for a new air filter. That truck does sound like it was well maintained. Ford usually recommends doing a pan, gasket & filter transmission fluid service, spark plugs, and coolant flush at 100k. They also recommend inspecting the drive belts, cooling hoses, and just a thorough check in the engine bay at 100k. And then obviously replace anything that needs replacement. Ford's service intervals on the F-150s are a little weird. I'd never take any of that to 100k. I'd do all of those things every 50k. It's cheap enough. I halfway agree with you on that, if I’m buying a older project car or anything for that matter under $10k idgaf about paint but if I were to buy a slightly used truck for 20-30k the paint better be damn near perfect while its under 10 years old
2015.... as we say here in the UK "it's a spanker".... meaning it's brand spanking new. My own car is/was ten years old when I bought it, and I still think of it as new. Lovely vid thank you, also great advise.
The brake rotors with more material will take power, the water pump with fresh bearings will use more power. Also all of the old oils had lost viscosity over time, so adding new fluids with restored viscosity will take power.
Great video. This is why buying a used vehicle should be a viable option for most people over new. Buy a solid reliable vehicle 4-5yrs old at 60-80k miles then pick up all the regular maintenance. 200k miles at a lower cost than new easily in the majority of cases
you definetly did the smart thing in buying a 5.0L. that truck should definetly last and serve you well for the time you need it. @SirCaptainSlowly I'd understand doing this to a sports car or a luxury car, but a truck that is going to be on the road every day as a work horse in all types of horrid conditions? Makes absolutely no sense. The only thing i'd do to this truck is add paint protection film to the front bumper to help against stone chips and that's it.
@@ARDEN440i I was thinking the exact same thing. It defiantly looks way better but on a vehicle you are going to daily drive and put that amount of miles on, I see this as nothing but a waste of money.
@@ARDEN440i I use my Tacoma for everything work related. Hauling bikes, trailers, wood, engines, project car parts. Still detail it, usually monthly, sometimes weekly. 5 years in and it still looks, feels and drives better than new. There absolutely is a point, it's called pride of ownership.
@@carter240 I mean if you're in a financial situation where you can afford 1k+ detailing jobs on your truck monthly and weekly, then you do you.
@@ARDEN440i its called doing it yourself. The cost for the tools will be the same as if you paid someone else to do it but then you have them forever. You're also not doing a 2 stage correction every week. The point is, taking care of it will go a long way for many many years. I've never once felt the need to buy a new truck because the one I have still feels new. That in itself has saved me thousands. Too many idiots owning a truck for 2-3 years and sell it once it "feels old" when all it needed was a good cleaning.
This is sooo good. Every time i hear Automotive Aesthetic, i like fangirl inside because a well detailed vehicle is the best vehicle. BUT, maintenance items should be done first yet i understand why he had it detailed first: Maintenance items are easier to see if undercarriage is at least clean. But everytime, you guys make the best car topic vehicles. I thank you guys!
Meanwhile, the check engine light on my 97’ 7.3 has been on for so long, the light went out. Still has the codes, but it won’t show on the dash. Been well over a year lmao.
Great video to watch, the challenge for most of us is to find a mechanic you can really trust to do this maintenance, let alone that has a dyno.....need to know how much did 1) the detailing cost 2) the maintenance cost? Maybe it was all comped but gotta think it's over $2-3 grand.
This all looks extremely expensive 😆
I do really believe that full service and maintenance should be done whenever buying a new used vehicle, never trust the previous owner , always take matters in your on hand..
I needed this video I just bought a new(to me) car yesterday and I pick it up Tuesday
after buying that truck you should take your cousin out for a date to see nascar and eat burgers
I’m think I’m going to buy a Focus XR5 turbo when I get my licence in 2 weeks and I really appreciate this video
what if u find a dead body in the trunk?
You now can use the Car Pool Lane
Been subbed for a few years now and there has been no shortage of amazing quality content videos! Yall deserve everything you got and everything you'll get!
How much did this all cost tho
More than that I think but he got it for free
I'm glad I'm not the only psychopath that went OCD on my new/used car. Got a 2015 Subaru WRX STI with 25k miles.
And it needed love.
How much would it cost me to clean a car like that?
DaC4po find your nearest detailing shop! It will really depend on the car, demand, and the job they provide that will factor in the price. Could be as cheap as $100 from your local automatic car wash that also can do some sketch detailing, or well over $1k with a ceramic coat layer included
@@OneStarVic thanks. asking cuz i dont have a car yet but its a near future so i just wanted to have an idea
@@herobrinenuno you dont need to detail your daily to this extent. This detail is well over a thousand dollars. Get your vehicle mechanically sound before you clean anything.
@@Turshin i mean id probably do it after taking care of the mechanical stuff and then just once every 5 years or something like that
I really like the look of the 2015 ford f-150. They look so much better than the 2020
Literally replacing things just cause
Those brake had a lot of life left in them
Yar Nunya you're a stupid moron. Brakes aren't a set mileage item. When they're worn, you replace them whether it's 10,000 miles or 100,000 miles. I'll guarantee you with the age and mileage of that truck and as much material there was one those pads that those brakes were put on pretty recently, not the factory. He's just as super spoiled rich kid that buys stuff just because he can.
When all the parts and labor are free it's easy to replace everything. If these dudes actually had to pay for things like this it would be a different story.
Wow, thats a beautiful truck.
Literally one of the last things i care about in a used vehicle would be paint
I halfway agree with you on that, if I’m buying a older project car or anything for that matter under $10k idgaf about paint but if I were to buy a slightly used truck for 20-30k the paint better be damn near perfect while its under 10 years old
You’re obviously not a car enthusiast
Y'all make my Saturdays with this videos. Keep up the fantastic job
reliable: gets Ford anyways
Love my Ford trucks. Never give me any problems.
No trouble on my Ford truck either.
2015.... as we say here in the UK "it's a spanker".... meaning it's brand spanking new. My own car is/was ten years old when I bought it, and I still think of it as new. Lovely vid thank you, also great advise.
7000miles in one month, big up to you Sir.
@1:03 "what brings you in today"
Anshar Prasetiyo golden reference😂
Anshar Prasetiyo car not damaged
LS Custom: Repair $200
The brake rotors with more material will take power, the water pump with fresh bearings will use more power. Also all of the old oils had lost viscosity over time, so adding new fluids with restored viscosity will take power.
Step one: maintain
Step two: detail 🤦🏻♀️
This may be weird but I learned 1 thing from this video...
I want a truck.
you got to love these americans like, "i opted for the 5liter v8..." like mate my 318tds is 1.7 diesel and it is expensive!
Wow. He opted for the proven 302 motor instead. Not going to the Twin turbo GDI eco boost. Smart guy right here👊🏼
Wants something reliable.
Owns a boosted Subaru, buys a Ford 🤔
I see 30+ year old Fords on the road every day. I've never seen a Subaru over maybe 10 years old.
You guys really need to make more videos with the guys that detail the cars. Very enjoyable
Jesus Christ its a truck not a McLaren
It's the most expensive vehicle I've ever owned
Its a mp12-4c
Congratulations Ben! Hope you enjoy it all the way through.
made a video so you could get some free stuff for your car :)
Finally, I wish Automotive aesthetics would do an own UA-cam channel with detailing videos
Great video. This is why buying a used vehicle should be a viable option for most people over new. Buy a solid reliable vehicle 4-5yrs old at 60-80k miles then pick up all the regular maintenance. 200k miles at a lower cost than new easily in the majority of cases
I like the fact that they didn't fix the power results when they didn't get quite what they expected - the truck is great now. ✔
Always loving those Automotive Aesthetic videos! Keep ‘em coming!
you definetly did the smart thing in buying a 5.0L. that truck should definetly last and serve you well for the time you need it. Also if you haven't use the massager seats, they are soo nice to have on a long drive. Working at a ford dealer we rarely see many issues with the 5.0L unlike the ecoboost trucks.
Well done! And good choice on the Truck! Im not a truck person either but if i were to get one it would definitely be American Made baby!
Good choice truck for what you do. Where I work, we put almost 500000kms every 2 years on them, and usually don't have many major issues.
I also just bought a Ford Vehicle 'Ford EcoSport'... I really get inspired by your videos. Your entire team is great 😍
Nice to see down to earth, cool people doing amazing work. Taking detailing to a new level in my opinion which is worth about enough to buy a Wawa coffee on 99+1 cent day.
Love you're film style and documentary style videos! Keep it up
