Finland, Greece and Estonia are strong this year. Latvia and Malta are good. Croatia has a few strong ones.
@@tdyerwestfield from Finland, thank you 😊 Im really proud how we managed to improve from last year. As long as we dont send Puppy to Eurovision I would be happy but more than Erika I would hope for Viivi or Neea to win. Especially Viivi because we are never gonna get more beautiful ballad in Finnish language than that and I would really, really want to see how it would be received in Europe among the televoters and jury votes
@@Balnazzardi But ballads don't usually do very well. Only 2 have won in the last 10 years, and if they're not good enough to win, they usually don't even qualify for the final.
@ True, they can be very hit or miss.. IN this case I honestly wouldnt much care about that because I just want to vote for the song that touched me the most and I think this is the first time in UMK history that song has managed to actually move me the way Viivi's song did. Now I know perfectly well it might not happen with Eurovision audience in semi final, but thats the risk im personally willing to take. I know however that my fellow Finns wont vote for ballad, so Erika is most likely to win and go to Switzerland
@ Also wasnt it in 2007 in Finland actually that that Serbian group won with ballad and it was even in their native language if I remember correctly? So ye its not unheard of that if ballad touches enough people and has strong enough singer that they can even won, but thats the thing I would like to see with Viivi, how well would the European and world audience receive her. If she would get dropped from final, so be it, but I really would want us Finns to defy expectations this year and not pick a song that everyone is expecting us to pick

@ESCSILVER we will only hear snippets but next Saturday the entire songs will be released. What is sad is that Luka was part of it again but ended up in 9th place. 😢 Lenn was only picked because of his name, Luka deserved it so much. The song of Red Sebastian is electro pop with insane vocals and Mentissa brings French pop, inline with her song Mamma Mia.
