- It Was Opening weekend of Red Snapper Season Here in Alabama so some buddies and I loaded the Blackjack Coastal Down, Caught a few Live baits, and made a short 9 mile run offshore to put some keepers in the box. We knew that if we could get out there that catching a limit of snapper wouldn't take long but we didn't think that we would be coming back home with a stud COBIA In the box! Id call that a successful afternoon trip.

@@CaptCollier Well, that's encouraging that you can have great snapper fishing that close in. I am looking at a Blackjack 224 and hope to take it a few miles out in the gulf on VERY calm days.

How does new BlackJack handle the rougher water? Does it have a soft ride in the rough stuff?
Really well. The extra weight helps. Only problem is she likes to go fast so if they are 2ft or more waves and spaced close together she’ll porpoise alittle even with tabs all the way down because I have to back the throttle

Kinda depends on the brand but normally 5000-6500

No. We eat and give away fish we catch to family and friends while it’s fresh and vacuum seal the the rest if there is any left

With that abundance of fish, if one angler gets just 10 kilos per day, then there is no need to work as a company employee.
Red snapper is a medium-high-priced fish, so 10 kilos per day are enough to be sold to meet the economic needs of the family.
It's cool to keep on guarding our sea because Allah SWT created it to meet our needs in life as humans, the most perfect creatures.
