- Free lining live shrimp whether inshore or offshore is a great method to catching a variety of fish in many different scenarios. In this video I am specifically targeting Spanish Mackerel around the local gas rigs simply using a small wire leader to a hook with a Lively shrimp! This can be done at rigs, wrecks, or even off the beach to produce fish. As you'll see, this is an effective way to catch them if you don't happen to have any Artificial lures.

Was on vacation with family there at Dauphin island 2 weeks ago and didn't catch any keepers. Also a bird did the same thing to me. I was hoping to get a tuna but no luck. I watch every video.

Cobia around the freighters, Black snapper on the full moon coming up, Tripletail are all fun to watch. Using some of the new soft plastics like you did in this video would also be cool. Been seeing a lot of guys down south using those NLBN swimming mullet for tarpon. It would be neat to see what they would do up here.
I like your video. But I was going crazy because if I was on the boat, I would have put a hook in one of those Spanish Mackerel and live lined it. I've had good results doing that. Try that next time out. I'll subscribe to your channel and will wait for the video. Thanks, tight lines 👍

Man, I haven’t seen snapper like that, that close in, in a long time. Especially eating swim baits! That’s awesome! I’d love to see you catch some of those big mangrove, chunking and drifting like you did a while back. Trying to figure out how to do it myself!! I got to start going more west. I feel like they pulled up all the rigs that used to be straight south…
Them good size snapper won’t be there long lol it’s like they know when snapper season opens and just disappear or get caught up quick. And for sure, I would like to get out after some big mangs myself. Just gotta find the right conditions
