Oakley jawbreaker prescription lens. Already had the frames. Best purchase ever. Made my riding so much more enjoyable and less stress than contacts. Expensive but worth it in my eyes 😊

I just wear my prescription sunglasses, currently flip between different ray ban models. When it’s darker I use an old set of prescription glasses (ones with bendy plastic arms to feel a bit safer)

I bought myself a pair of cheap (but good) cycling glasses off Amazon with myopic frames which I had glazed by Specsavers, I also use contacts which also work for me. So best of both worlds! 😎

I’ve used daily disposable lenses and have had them come out whilst riding with them under sunglasses. I’m not sure how this happens but I think caused by turbulent airflow getting under the sunglasses and drying the surface of the lenses, my eyes watering and somehow ejecting the lens.
I’ve also had prescription Oakley’s, which have had lens inserts built into the sunglasses. These didn’t last more than a couple and the inserts fractured and popped out. I tried gluing them back in which didn’t end well

I recently purchased a new pair of prescription glasses featuring a magnetic sunglass attachment. They are outstanding, and I think I'll be wearing them even more than my usual prescription cycling glasses, particularly now

I had Rad8 prescription cycling glasses. Glad it's not just me who gets nausea when wearing them in the house. Once I'm cycling or running that settles down.

Broke my last pair of prescription cycling glasses in a crash (also broke my femur and my helmet ). Decided to just get a decent pair of plastic frame prescription sunglasses and ride on! Prescription cycling glasses are way too expensive and most giant lens ones look silly.

I started wearing glasses 3 years ago for distance. I got prescription sun glasses for a fair few quid. Then my prescription changed 🤦‍♀️. I now wear contacts. Much better.

I highly recommend prescription glasses made for motorcycle use. They have to be impact resistant and last a long time. Sadly, getting them for a prescription over +4 is almost impossible.

Contacts. The issue with prescription glasses is that the actual prescription can only be cut into a certain area of the lens, so you don’t get clarity in the periphery of your vision.

Alba optics with Optical Insert.. i find this is the best solution for me.. Contact lens is a big no for me, as dust sometimes got into my eyes when riding..

I just use my prescription sun glasses or my normal glasses depending on the weather.

I just hope someday, my prescription (+4.50) can be made into a legit cycling pair of sunglasses.

Inserts are the worst because they sit so damn close to your eyes. The inner frame for the inserts are usually too small, so your field of view will be distorted by the curvature of the lenses. Just terrible! What I normally do is to simply wear normal sunglasses with tinted prescription lenses on. The problem is sometimes it gets dark in the shady parts of the mountain passes, and I couldn’t remove them because I need them to see. A solution is to get those lenses that darkens when exposed to UV light. The newest generations work really well (dark enough), though you can look a bit goofy wearing them.

I thought Francis Cade was incredibly bad mannered during that piece. Once Emily started talking he played with the dog, messed with his laptop and completely ignored what she had to say. At the end of her piece he didn’t ask questions he just made an irrelevant comment about 20 20 Vision. Heaven forbid a woman should steal his lime light for 30 seconds. What a rude and arrogant p****.

Please don’t be offended on my behalf! It’s a small segment we do at the end of each show where we answer a viewer’s question, it’s not usually a back and forth debate and in this case I don’t think there was a need for it to be. The answer was entirely directed at the viewer and not being a glasses wearer, he didn’t have much to add on the subject.
He also probably just didn’t anticipate he would be on screen for this bit, but as I didn’t have a camera on my face (which is my preference), I chose to put him on screen (I also edit the podcast) because the dog being there offered something to look at. Not an ideal shot, I agree, but it’s more an editing issue than anything else. I’m not offended by anything he did and I certainly don’t think it’s fair to call him a prick 😂
