I have been to that model airfield many times. There is often a wide variety of RC models flying there. My favorite models are the miniature jet turbine engines. Another very cool place in the SoCal area.

Peter's "we went to the stowah" sounded more like a Chinese ESL speaker, and Allan sounds like someone doing a bad impression of Dick Van Dyke's famously bad cockney accent (which for reference comes from a place a hundred miles away from where Colin Furze lives - potentially a long way in UK geography). Pepperpots are not a good reference point for British accents, the same way Mountain Man from Duck Dynasty is not for American accents.

Awesome concept of a rc plane. Your biggest problem would have been it was hard to control because of water movement, if u had of baffled the tank this would of minimized that water movement giving you more control. Great video

The plane flew really nice, the mechanism worked, you hit the candles several times and the entertainment factor was really high. This needs to be revisited using a small 3D printed water pump to bring the water in, essentially rc boat parts for bringing water in while flying. I’d Imagine you need to scale up a bit but no worries there

what aout electronics engineering? i havnt quite reached that stage in my life but theres a good chance ill make my career in that because thats what my dad does and it has proven to be both really useful and interesting.
@@guy3nder529 mainly the basics of some aerodynamics, and the electrical engineering of wiring electronics together. Tbh, I got most of my mechanical knowledge sparked from Kevin Talbot who got me into hobby grade R.C. cars

You should sell it, a bunch of it, to CalFire to fight wild fire. Every year when wildfire starts, most of the time they all end up stand by at the nearest road waiting for the fire to come to them before they can hose it. In the mean time the burn area is getting so huge and AQ suffer miserably for months after months. They did it year after year. They need to hire you.
As much as I love William Osman, I definitely preferred the cleaner and more streamlined videos without him in it.

I like how Nigel and Tom are just casually standing in the background, not knowing what to do.
Here's my idea for a simple and easy follow-up project:
-Build a model Bell-Boeing V-22 Osprey (with gas-powered turboprops rather than electric motors as you usually do)
-Add a water tank
-Add a water pump that lets you fill while hovering
-Use flight mode to get to the fire faster, and hover mode to drop water with maximum precision
-Add an onboard radio to call up waterbomber pilots to tell them they're now unemployed

Peter, the work you did to put together that plane was awesome. The rib work on the wing, the mechanism pulling open the bag, the paint and tape work, beautiful man. Heck, it worked pretty dang good and I thought it would actually snuff a small fire if you hit it from a bit higher and timed it right. Sounded sweet too with the twins. Just started messing around with foamboard RC so loved it. As far as the other folks in the video........thanks for the help guys...... 🤔 ☮️ Wheelchair John in Idaho 😎
