Beautiful vlog. Love Spain cycling. I’m in Sanremo presently. There’s a few awesome tunnels here from old railway that’s been converted to pedestrian and bicycles
There's something about the topography & climate in Spain that reminds me of parts of California (obv. not the Mojave desert). I wish I could go back & visit again.
Thought I recognized that climb - RM-D20 - been up and down it many times. Fun descent down towards Cabo Cope. Lived in Águilas for a couple of years (the name means Eagles btw), up until last October actually. Triathlon competition held in the town every February, hence the group you met at the summit I suppose. Always enjoy the vids,...seeing you and Chris riding through my old stomping ground was an added bonus. Gracias, y 'buena suerte' for the rest of your trip 👍🚲
Another adventure with you guys! Know doubt a lot of laughs and funny moments await! Can Chris share his whoop recovery scores and see how the trip effects it? And his top tips and tricks for recovery during these longer tours
I too thought you are taller than perceived when i met you (at a bike show years ago). Then some great footage of the descent after that. Thrilling. Cheers 'Basil'
The bikes in a hotel room thing is pissi off atm, booked 3 hotel places in Barcelona for end of March and all have said no bke in room.... not going to Barcelona now
Currently watching this vlog the voice clarity is excellent even with the wind on the down hill decent these vlogs are excellent keep up the great work
Love your pronunciation of Spanish places 😀. It is a fantastic place to cycle, I had the pleasure of living in this area once. These videos make me miss it.
When I see you and Chris on bikes, no matter what kind of day I have had, I immediately want to go out and ride. Looks like a nice time so far. Good luck with that 8:00 dinner. When we are touring, we generally hope to be full fed and in bed by 8. :) Also, that guy who commented that he was surprised how tall you are... For some reason, in my head you are about 5'3". But I'm sure you are not a smurf in real life, just as Lawrence is not a dog in real life.
It is interesting, how the strange rivalry between cyclists and triathletes has evolved. I started cycling in the 1980's, as a competitive swimmer, and that merged with triathlons for over a decade. These days, I only ride: no running; no swimming; no aero bars. I think I can say objectively, that triathlon has contributed a few things to cycling, as it was very burdened by traditions and bias. Specifically, the approach to aerodynamics, nutrition, and hydration were all being explored by triathletes before pure cycling took notice of the benefits. These days, i detect that it is far more good natured ribbing than it used to be. Back in the day, there was an 'elite animosity' that has waned. Now, it's just a "You do you," mutual acceptance.
@@smallbobcat8758 The socks are obvious; it is tedious and timeconsuming to pull socks onto wet feet, in transition. They're just hardening up the feet. I do "get" the lack of technical skills, in general, but you're going to get that on any unstructured group ride. It's frustrating how many people will seek out group rides, then won't conform to the conventional safety norms of riding in a group or paceline.
Another top video, more so because of pedalling up climbs, with commentary & footage 👏🚵♀️ News flash! FC stuns dentists Worldwide with Peppa pig toothbrush ! 🪥 😃

Heya mate! Yeah I’m sure I can do something about that, probably over on my Instagram
Chris and Francis bike tripping in Spain- all available in video. Life is good
Those Tailfin setups look so good, wish I could justify the purchase😌
In my area again the descent into Mazarron is rather spectacular.
If you want shoes for bikepacking, check out Xero shoes. Very minimal and ultra lightweight. They pack well too.
I know these, they’re good but quite expensive. I bought some rockpool shoes that roll up to the size of your fist and cost £5
Gs are Hs Fran so carta”hena” etc …. But cool trip. Aquarius is a fab drink , I use it all the time in Valencia … ride on
(EDIT - Tail Fin Rack) - I’m sure you’ve already covered this so I apologise. What is the rack system on Chris’ and your bike. It looks great.
Yep it’s the Tailfin AeroPack
Looks like a decent adventure with some very beautiful mountains. Great stuff 👌🏻
Scenery looks absolutely stunning and glad you guys are having a fab trip 💚👍
Thank you for keeping alive the tradition of yelling in a tunnel.
ahahaa "you're taller than I thought though, Francis"

We love to see a bikepacking series
It was below freezing when I was in Girona last week! Rode twice, both days in arm & leg warmers 🥶
"...dinner starts at 8:00..."
Chris' stare...[beeep]
((@ minute 8:00 no less))
Sheer editorial genius FC
Definitely intentional
Early start early finish more time to relax, or do work stuff. Chris is an expert in minimalist bikepacking. Now, Basil Cade has quite a ring to it🤣.

3am is when ghosts are most active, FYI.
Are you guys planning on riding through mojacar?
Great trip Francis! Quick question, what settings are u using for that smooth gopro footage? thx!
It's almost all the standard setting when you unbox it. Except highest bitrate and sharpening off
that is celebrity flex right there - when a random goes 'you're taller than i thought you'd be'.
Trans pyrenees route he was talking about? Who was the Movistar Pro? Don't think they have any British pros... or was it just some punter in full kit?
He's on the movistar E team
What'S the orange thingy hanging out of Chris' Jersey backpocket though?
Prostandard grill mount!
8pm dinner is early mate!
Thanks Francis....does he say you were taller ? Just got my laptop back ...Peace
