One major thing I forgot to mention is Quality Tapping, especially on your Weapon. This is something that is super RNG and if I were to put a color on it as I did with the green, yellow, and red check marks in the video for other things, getting your weapon to a blue quality range would be somewhere in the green as this typically won't cost you too much gold, especially with all the free quality taps they've been giving us lately. Going above blue though, pursuing purple or even gold (100 quality) would be in the red category as something you shouldn't pursue until very very late into min/maxing your build as it costs a TON of gold, and you have very LITTLE chance to get it.
There is one more source of power worth mentioning. In many cases buying set of legendary skins (if cheap enough) might be better value than upgrading lvl 9 to lvl 10 dmg gem on single skill. Especially when it's not 1-2 gem class like Surge DB or Barrage Arti. More like Tai Scrapper/Pistoleer DE.
That is very true, I forgot to mention that. It would definitely be at the bottom of the list as well though, pieces are about 60k, so 240k for 1-2% dam increase is pretty bad.
Most definitely with gems. Some classes are worth investing to get that level 10 gem!! This is why I suggested everyone to test their class for gem damage increase as there are so many variables.
@@itsDubla Surely it's at the bottom but in case of DI Shadowhunter you run out of options fast, cause after investing in your dmg and cd lvl 10 gem threre in no more room for improvement in gem department. Stay strong and keep producing great content 💪
As someone with protonopia (colour blindness), just want to thank you for the clear contrasting colours and legend next to it clearly speeling out what they are. Well done mate, and nice mic!
Naturally I didn't even think about that when I was making it, but I definitely will do that going forward! Thank you very much for commenting and letting me know about this :) You're awesome dude!
Tbh 300k for 40 set is high copium, a legendary elixir if you need to craft the material to roll them as well costs like 8k per elixir, with the amount of rng involved to get the right effect and an average of 8 points in each piece it can get a lot more expensive, that said I do agree it is one of the most efficient ways to gain power just cause of how much bonuses it gives
Thanks for stopping by and letting me know your thoughts brother!! This was based on you rolling the standard 6 you get per week, then selling your leftover pieces. Not buying mats to craft more. This was also for a 40 set with ANY effects. Not optimal effects, other than the proper set bonus. It for sure can get more expensive, it can also be much cheaper. It was just a rough avg.
some classes benefit way more from getting those lvl 10 gems. Arti and Blade for example, that lvl 10 damage gem accounts for a majority of their damage. Most classes that rely on a few damage skills benefit greatly from upgrading their gem to lvl 10 first. It's fairly cost effective. I'm not sure where you're getting your numbers for gold amounts for honing, but if you're only counting raw gold, sure. For honing past 20, the efficiency falls quite a lot. Unless you get lucky, the gold investment per 1.6% damage is very high, especially if you're factoring in buying materials to tap. Upgrading the weapon is not the most cost effective. Classes that have main damage skills, getting that level 10 on that skill can be a night and day difference in terms of your damage. For gems, it's all about the class you play. Someone was nice enough to compile a sheet to show the damage increases based on what you upgraded your gems to. It accounts only the class' top 3 damage skills. Some classes can be quite significant. Just upgrading from 7s to 9s alone for 3 damage skills can net at least 4-6% damage. The upgrade from 9 to 10 is similar to the damage gained from 7-9. But way more impactful if you upgraded from 7-10. docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1RIcbnvHw-BgkGft5IBRIRzu9xVVdnd5xoyYjIDPnHcI/edit#gid=0 In most cases, with gem progression, my recommendation is to slowly craft 9s and sell them to make the gold for a 10. If it's your main, you're going to be needing them anyway, and it is a worthwhile investment that requires only silver if you're willing to sell 9s to buy a 10 and reroll it. Also gives you time to build up bound mats to keep honing costs down.
Gold amounts came from raw cost and oreha cost. I went over this in the video as I talked about it. I agree on the gems, which is why i said you should go test these individually because it’s highly determined by class in the video. I appreciate you linking the spreadsheet but this is also just a rough estimate. Not every build is the same, with the same engravings per class engraving. So there’s not perfect calculator for that. This is why I recommend people to go test it themselves because it’s personal to their build/engravings/tripods/etc.
Hey man! really appreciate the video, I'm sure that this will be helpfull for a lot of people, my self included! One thing that I think you didn't mentioned (or I didn't hear it, need to play the video again) was about the Armor Honing, when do you think we should park it comparing it to Weapon Honing, also what do you think its an acceptable Armonr and Weapong quality to have whitout wasting gold. Keep the good work man!
IMO, over leveling weapon is kind of okay ... but there is base line stats from leveling Armor that you don't get without leveling armor. Say, if you want to do 1600 content. Before over leveling your weapon to say +19 for 1620, you should probably put your armor on ilvl with that content first. Just IMO though.
@@saikame5833 thanks for the reply. I'm been doing as you said but I saw some articles on reddit saying that you should prioritize your weapon to +21 for damage and that's when thinks get confusing for me.
Armor is best to at least get to the ilvl of the content you wish to do. So if you wanna do 1600 content, you should prioritize getting your weapon and armor to 1600 ilvl. Then if you’d like you can hone your weapon a bit higher, then hone armor for the next big ilvl threshold for content, or you can hone them all at the same time (armor/weapon). People typically hone their weapon higher because of more damage and glows haha. You don’t HAVE to hone your weapon higher than your armor though.
Damn you think so? I thought it made me sound a bit more "airy" or "echo-ey" if you will. I thought the second one representing my actual voice a bit better. This could definitely be due to EQ tuning though, I didn't spend much time on the second one because I JUST got it in and I wanted to do the video haha. Thank you for letting me know brother! I appreciate it
@itsDubla i appreciate both the time you put into your content as a returning player and the quality, specifically the graphics and stats you provide. The least i can do is say it!
for me im 1620 so im going for los 30 and working on epic elixers at same time reason im not working on legendary i cant craft those and im currently waiting for my support friend reach atleast 1600 so we can do ivory tower together later on will be hard mode when he gets to 1620 im also taking break from honing just isnt worth it for me atm to go for 1630 we have plenty time for 1630 content anyways for both theimein hard and years worth content in kr atleast till we see more in another loa on event
Your gem calculations are wrong in that they're actually free if u have excess gold since they can just be sold for ur gold back but any kind of honing/upgrades are permanent and u have to repeatedly do them meaning when price of honing mats crash, ud have to calculate how much $$ did u make vs how much u spent and whether it was actually more efficient to just wait for the next event/pass etc... You also can never transfer that progression to another char where as gems are flexible and u can even do 6x same char and buy 1 set of lvl 10 gems which is insane efficiency. I notice you always calculate gems as if they're a dead cost, they're not, they're appreciating assets, it's like saying buying a house for 500k is -500k when it's really just an asset worth 500k that appreciates so if u got excess money, why would u not park that into an appreciating asset that also increases ur dmg FOR FREE?
@@itsDubla fair enough, when I watched your videos and past videos you tend to calculate gem costs as if it’s lost on the character forever I.E why you aren’t pushing your 1540s to 1580s etc…
