great video sir, i have just bought kontakt library but didn't have enough space on my c folder now i learned that i can have vst and library in any folder thank you for explaining very clearly.
It seems like there are so many different folders with plugins in them I am timid to move them because I don't want cubase to act up. I have Cubase, Ableton, & Machine. I want to put all the plugins in one folder so that every program will recognize them. Do I just move every folder that says .dll into the new plugin folder I created?
Hello. My Soothe2 has joined the factory Cubase plug-ins in the Dynamics directory in the program. I installed the plugin in Program Files\comman files\VST3. Wolałbym by były w oddzielnym katalogu
Hello Tim. This video seems very helpful. I was hoping you could help. I am using Studio One. I am having a problem where some of my VSTs are going into One Drive. Then the DAW can’t find the sound samples. I don’t really even want to use One Drive. Do you have any recommendations? Thanks.
Hello Rod, thank you very much for your nice feedback. Are the VST at One Drive or the samples? Perhaps you can just copy the plugins from One Drive to your hard drive. But some plugins have to be installed manually, because the install graphics for the interface or other stuff.
@@timheinrichenglish8782 I can't remember if we tried that. I know we tried reinstalling the VST with sound engines and took out the OneDrive install pathway and we thought that would work but it didn't. I'll see if I can just copy the samples and past to an external or C-drive and tell the DAW to look there and see if that works. Not sure if Ample Sound will let us do it. I did send the question also to the techs at Presonus. I will let you know what ends up working. Thanks.

Yes, I put all plugins into one folder. At every DAW you can set the plugin folder. Yes, you can move all .dll files into the right folder.

How big are vst files? Not sample libraries just the vst part?

Just VST2. But I recommend to install them to drive C. The additional content (samples) can be saved to other drives.
