Hi. I can't install my WAVES plugins in Cubase 6. Have tried putting the WAVES Shell in every folder I can think of and telling Cubase to look there but I can never find them. They have worked in the past but no longer. Any ideas? Thanks!
Hi Tronlady 1. I've never used it. I have seen people use them but it's a shame the older plugins can't be made 64bit. Maybe some developers will take them on in the future. Matt
Have you checked out gpu audio plugins? I attempted to install the early release version couldn’t get them to work. I’m about to remove them and try to install the new beta release. I’m running Cubase 12 pro. That would be a good video to make I haven’t found a specific video on installing them on cubase. Even looked on there Discord. Thank you for the video.
Hi Scott, I have seen them talked about n youtube. Sonicstate which is synth based talk show were looking into them. they could be very interesting once more companies start producing plugins. Very interesting times! Matt
Really Nice Tutorial Bro. But I'm still having issues finding my autotune pro for cubase 5. Is it that they are not compatible because I've tried everything on this video
It should be compatible. Are you on PC, worth checking you are putting in the the right file path, Go for the X64 rather than X32, unless it's a 32bit plugin. When you go into the Plugin Manager under Studio along the menu. If you go to the bottom you can can click the add button and then search for where the plugin was installed and Cubase should then find it on the next time it boots up?
@@GuitarWithMatt thanks Bro. But the Antares auto tune was 3 .vst3 files. Put them in the right path as other .vst3 files in my program filesx86/cubase/plugins folder. Now the problem is how to access it on cubase. I've added the directory and still not showing
Hello sir, I am adding filters to the audio and when I close the project to work on it the next day I find everything is back to the beginning, knowing that I saved the project
Hi Wesam, Good to hear from you what filters are you using? Cubase should re-call everything if you have saved it? Let me know what filters you're using and we'll get it fixed. Matt
Hi Wesam , I looked up this (Load instrument in VST rack- then from the instrument GUI clicked the presets windows or load presets (top of the instrument)- then clicked the layout button from the bottom left corner- and selected to show Location tree- then you will see the Instrument’s folder- now untick or deselect the checkbox of that folder. It will ask you to keep or delete or cancel. Select Keep. Now tick or select the check box of that same folder) Let me know if you need any help. Matt
That's strange if you go to Studio then Plugin Manager. Have a look at Blocklisted at the top and see if they are there? If so you can activate them. If not it could be that you need to go to the bottom of Plugin Manager then hit the settings cog at the bottom it should show you all the file paths of the plugins. From here you can click the add button and locate the Waves folder where they were installed to? Let me know if this helps. If not I'll have a re-think. Matt
Hi Evan, sorry only just saw this. So the VST effect appears and loads but it isn't changing the sound? Could bypass be on, it's a yellow button? Or maybe there's a parameter like the mix knob is set to 100% dry? What effect are you loading up? Matt
The resolution changes a bit. It gets too fuzzy. I have ADD, so it's a bit all over the place for me. I'd like to have Ovox in my Cubase. I've never placed a plug-into a DAW before. It's always the beginning of things I can't find.
Hi Alain, really sorry I'm going to fix the screen issue soon. If you get stuck just let me know. I can try and talk you through it. When you install you will have the option of location I go (on PC) C - ProgrammesX64 - Steinberg - Plugins as my main. If it doesn't find it when it boots Cubase let me know. Matt
,Thanks, Matt. I keep my DAW off-line. It's difficult transferring Ovox via Waves Central - on to a flash drive and so on, when you don't like doing stuff online and being so isolated in a small town in rural Australia. We have TVs with facial recognition, and pensioners in Australia are now asked to repeat a phrase for vocal recognition, while we've had our public transport removed 30 years ago. It's like being hooked into the Matrix. UA-cam musicians though, seem to be one of the few places where there are real people. It's about 6am. I'll have to sleep now and see how it goes later. Thanks for your attention.
Hope you got okay with the install. I've never used Ovox but it sounds similar to Native Instruments (Native Access) you should be able to go to preferences and choose your plugin and content directory. I did this with Native access so my plugins go to the plugin folder, but my content all go to my D-Drive. Matt
I had some VST 3 synths go missing after a session force closed , they were there for 6 months I looked and their still in the folders any idea how I can rectify this?
Hi, I would go to plugin manager and do a re-scan it's the arrows in a circle. If still no luck, try at the bottom of plugin manager using the locator tool, find the plugin folder for each one and make a new location. If you don't have any luck let me know. I'll have a think. Matt
Evan, Groove Agent should just be under drums in the menu. when you add a new instrument is it not listed? Press f11 once your in Cubase and click the add instrument button, all going to plan it should be under drums? If it's not, it could be you haven't installed it fully when you were in download assistant? Load the assistant then click on the version of Cubase you have it should say on the right if you have installed it?
Hi Lattab22, have if you go to Studio (top middle ) then down to Plugin manager. Have a look if you can find them in there, are they under Bloc listed? As you can re-instate them. Sometimes you have to use the search function at the bottom. Let me know if they aren't there and I'll re-think. Speak soon, Matt
@@lattab22med58 That's great! Really pleased you found them, looks like they wanted to be 32 bit files and found there way into an old plugin folder. Windows can be a bit of a pain with the two folders. Really pleased you sorted it. Speak soon, Matt
Namibia, have a look in your plugins folder (I haven't got Cubase loaded now but think it is under system) Have a look if it's been listed under bad plugins. Also is it 64 bit? You can also look under plugins and do a re-scan. Is it listed in plugins? It could have found it's way into a strange menu? Lot's of mine go into other in your inserts? Also it could have sorted itself and ended up under dynamics. Let me know how you get on. Matt
