I’ve been experimenting a lot with these kind of things trying to determine how they ban or shadowban some accounts and not others. This what I’ve tested so far: I’ve made multiple profiles with each time changing one paramater I thought to be relevant. Hopping from Location did not seem to have a significant increase in chance of being banned. My guess is that they use multiple weights/parameters and if it exceeds a certain value, you get (shadow)banned. Most important parameters so far seem to be how ‘old’ your tinder profile is, whether or not your profile is verified and if you’re messaging urls or have a url in your bio. But if you’d like more info, I can send you some more information on the things I tested through mail. :)

Tons of automated swiping, verified profile, appealing bio, changing locations to major cities in the world according to timezones to have active users (7pm-10pm), etc increases your matches drastically :) As for the date, meh-dates happen all the time. Your next ones will go smoother no worries

That’s not an error though. It’s simply a log message by the framework webdriver-manager to let you know it’s using the cached (stored on your pc) version of selenium instead of downloading it from the web. Nothing to worry about :) If anything does crash or prevent you from running the code, feel free to open an issue on GitHub with as much information as possible. Have a nice day, Fred

You’re right, Tinder changed their html layout slightly, which required me to change the xpaths in the project. Pulling the latest version should make it work again. 🙂

Ratio is defined as a percentage as a string. For example: ratio = “95%” The first line basically concerts ratio to a float number between 0 and 1 -> ratio = 0.95 For the last line, random.random() is a random float number between 0 and 1. By comparing this to the ratio and wether or not it’s smaller or bigger than the ratio number it will like or dislike the profile. (The more people you swipe, the more accurate it will be to the given ratio). If you have any more questions or if anything is not clear, feel free to ask :)

My bad, I didn’t see your question. But you kinda answered it yourself. random.random() indeed creates a uniform distribution. So if you swipe 10000 times, then on average 7500 times will be swiped right when you do: if random.random() < 0.75: like()
It is, if you want to include other features as well, such as messaging, scraping data, storing data, exception handling, etc... Take a look at the project files on GitHub and you'll see that the entire project contains a lot of code. ;)
With an older account, I never had to deal with that; with the newer account I had, I stored the chrome session in a directory, so the next time it didn’t need to login and could just load in the session and pick up from where it left. If a verification puzzle would appear, I solved it manually and then stopped using the bot for a few weeks to avoid further detection

The standard selenium driver yes, but there is a python package named undetected-chromedriver, which basically takes away all ‘signatures’ of the selenium chromedriver, resulting into a ‘clean’ one that can go undetected. :) ~ of course it is still up to you to make your actions as ‘humanlike’ as possible.

Yes and no. Tinder bans you for not holding yourself to their terms&conditions. So yes, you could get banned using the tool if you’d use it extensively. But you could also get banned when not using a tool for example by sending abusive messages to people. The tool itself will not get you banned. It’s what you do with it that might.

It used to be able to run headless, but I haven’t tried it for over 4 months at the moment. So it might need some modifications to make it work again
