The Miata never needed a nerf. But as it turns out, it WAS OP because it was smokin' Jeeps left and right on the trail. But I'll still support the devs. They're headed in the right direction.
winter camo for the rally miata? not just saying that because it's almost winter, a snowy camo would look amazing on the thing edit: wowie big thank for like 30 likes
I think putting the other seats and belts in are better for daily use but it your ripping in the snow in a lifted convertible your chances of rolling are much higher
Gotta love 80s JDM seats. My dad had an 89 Supra Turbo and those were by far the most comfortable seats I’ve ever sat in. I don’t know your take on this but I’ve seen guys apply an oil based undercoating (not tar or rubber based, those are the devil) to their undercarriages to protect their cars from rusting due to road salts and chemicals. Since it’s oil based and does not dry, your undercarriage will look like crap and look like it’s covered in gunk (which it is). However, that gunk keeps the moisture and road salt away from the precious metal. It might not be a bad idea considering you daily it in the winter and take it off road in the mud.
It wouldn’t matter for the seat welding application but if you ever have to weld something with that tack/spot welding technique you never use water to cool of the welds because if there is water left on the part when you weld the arc will split the water molecules and being steel absorbs hydrogen when melted and not when solidified you will get hydrogen porosity making the weld very weak.
Hey gingium. I have a 4x4 1980 Toyota Hilux 4x4 I would sell you for pretty cheap. It has the axles, transmission transfer case and drive shafts. I have the motor that came out of it, had a rod knock when I pulled it. Plz message me about if you are interested it would be awesome having something of mine go towards an awesome build! If you do any research on old Toyota 4x4s they are some of the most badass off-roaders out there I have an 83 I built to overland. Again thanks if you read this
That Previa had more problems than my car did when I first started driving the thing after it had been garage stored for 16 years and only driven twice a year, and then suddenly, a month before I got my license, it was being driven extremely often, as it had been upgraded from neglect to project car in preparation for its daily driver phase.
Rallyata changes: - removed rollbar - removed race seats - removed race belts - removed hydrobrake + added comfortable seats + added more room behind your seat + added grippy floormats still fixing the bug for the normal seatbelts it has some problems.
Suggestion.. Secure the work bench to the wall with 3 or 4 L brackets.. In an effort to make it a more sturdy work surface... The wobble under the pounding was sketch..
Welding like that doesn't penetrate very well, which results in weak welds. Also cooling it with water shocks the metal and weld, causing it to contract and shrink very quickly which can cause interal cracking of the weld. So those two together made for a very weak weld unfortunately. Not trying to bash or sounds smart, but that's what's holding you in the car, just want you to be safe 👍👍
If I had unlimited money and more mechanical knowledge than just changing fluids and replacing valve cover gaskets, radiators and mechanical fuel pumps, and changing the idle speed on a carburetor (On my car, the idle screw is on the end of the throttle linkage), I'd order everything required to build a Miata from scratch, because why not?
I hate the bucket seats in any car. My new car have very comfy heated electric seats with a nice arm rest, it´s really lovely car to cruise around. So I approve 100% what you did with Rally Miata. Put the air nozzles back to the dashboard. And roll cage in normal civilian road car is pointless, it´s just adds weight.
Imo bucket seats are 1000% more comfy than any other seats they hug your body well and give you support for your whole back even in driving position, and you don't fly around everywhere.
Put the bucket seats and the harnesses in the drift truck
Safer and cheaper. Seems like a good idea.
Might as well put a role cage in it haha
Harnesses yes, but I want the Drift Truck to be somewhat comfy too. I'll be getting some new comfier bucket seats in that.
Gingium will it ever be straight up race truck?
Course it will, he's being smart, comfy ass is everything, ego seats for "fullyracespec" no need really, so hate on out of here 😂
Rally miata getting nerfed af
Sasha waxman it’ll get buffed later don’t worry
Yeah I hope it gets better on the next expansion pack.
I might reroll ''drift truck'' anyway so...
Sasha waxman actually it’s so depressing
The Miata never needed a nerf. But as it turns out, it WAS OP because it was smokin' Jeeps left and right on the trail. But I'll still support the devs. They're headed in the right direction.
Straight up
It's funny how your car is made for off-roading and your truck is for drifting
Quite funny indeed
Ziyaad IS True but it makes him really unique tho
Next vid: removing the lift kit and mud tires on the rally Miata! EDIT: I hope everyone knows this is a joke.
Lucas Barnard facts
NO!
He just wanted comfort while he dailys his rally miata during winter lol
I commented that in the last Video too lol.
Yes because its bad car for offroad use. Better idea would be just rally style miata.
get some new seatbelts, painted old worn seatbelts are sketchy af
I miss the supercharger whine when it started
Om S it was heinous
@@rotary_13b78 agreed totally. Sounded like ass being engaged ALL THE TIME
winter camo for the rally miata?

melon boi fuck yhea
It would look cool but as soon as it got muddy I think it would be pretty weird
agreed
Yess
Y e s
Put the old seats in the truck
And hydro
I dont think you should have ditched the bar
Yeeaaaaah, for me that would be a safety hazard.
Its his funeral
Seems like he’s retiring the build :(
I think putting the other seats and belts in are better for daily use but it your ripping in the snow in a lifted convertible your chances of rolling are much higher
Darrian Marshall I agree I don’t think he noticed honestly
Why don't you use the roll bar in the miata cart?
We are doing a full roll cage on that!
fuck ya
@@_Gingium_ Awesome!

@gingium ive been watching your for over 2 years been here before you even bought the Subaru love your builds man and keep up the good work my dude

pretty cool to see how much better gigium has gotten at welding and metal work...He's evolving!
To be honest, you've made the Rally Miata even better, good job!
I miss that loud humming noise from the supercharger on the rally miata
Like the *_W E E E E E E E E E E E?_*
If you’re looking for a nice, relatively budget exhaust for the rallyata, checkout an ISR exhaust they sound pretty nice too
2:25 baaald. bAAAALD! BAAAAAALD! MY EYES!
Much love bro
I've heard that furniture conditioner works good for old seat belts

buy a cobalt exhaust? theyre cheap, and very good
Got one on my 1.8 NB, worth it 👍
Now you have a base for the roll bar for the drift truck... in the bed against cab.... and race seats and harnesses for the drift truck...
Use a drop or two of old english furniture polish on the seatbelts to take the crustyness out of them.
Also it smells nice so that's a bonus
Those seats look great, my seats in my car are really comfy to, they are even the standard ones
I love that bad ass music you have been playing in your videos lately
You've come a long way in skills since I first saw your videos. First I saw was you lifting this car. Can't wait for the final rendition!
Rally Miata needs some more undercoating before rust season, even if it's just spray paint to prevent rust from spreading

If the rattle is just from the resonator, just get a vibrant resonator. Since you can wield, it should be a relatively easy job.
Matte black to the rally miata, it looks good af in black
Dat phone crunch 2:16 LOL
I remember back when all you did was Forza and an occasional Fred video. R.I.P Fred, R.I.P Red Hair
You should have kept the Previa as your reliable winter daily
With the amount of rust on that van, reliable is the last word I would describe that thing with 💀
@@chaosgarage7877 Never heard of rusty but trusty? Its the motto of the rust belt

Scotty kilmer would call a rusty shitbox toyota van reliable, cuz its a Toyota doiiiii 🤓
The rally miata being black actually looks really good
I think he should put some kind of interior carpet or big floormat in the back of the hatch... It would just seem more practical
"I love you Caleb
Caleb's fabrication skills have become very good
i have a sneaking suspicion that his "new car" is the autozam az-1, 3cl, tiny, and japanese!
That's like 20k so I doubt it lol that would be awesome though
he did say it was quite expensive, but i doubt it as well, but hey, gotta stay hopeful right?
I think this is awesome dude! Keep on rollin! You're dope as hell👌
The fab work and welding is getting so much better
some particular NBFL seats with seperate headrests are also very comfy.
Looks so comfortable now
You need a project daily for sure... A car that look good and is super comfortable ;)
Come spring I'll definitely get a dedicated daily!
It's all about being comfortable Imo.
2:10 "but beFORE we get started"
The rally miata is cool and all but I feel like any sort of stock pickup truck or 4wd would run circles around it at the track 😂🤷🏼♂️
Right right new setup in spring. Last November** “will being working on the Miata swap in January”
Caleb, thanks for the video and glad you're happy with the re-stocked Rallyata. Look forward to your next video and love the channel!
I like the new setup for the interior.
I have a miata, would really like the roll bar pls! I am a really big fan and I live in canada
I have stock seatbelts from a 92 Miata. You can buy them but you will have to pay for shipping from Texas.
80s car seats are even more comfortable...arguably
Rallyata changes:
- removed rollbar
- removed race seats
- removed race belts
- removed hydrobrake
+ added comfortable seats
+ added more room behind your seat
+ added grippy floormats
still fixing the bug for the normal seatbelts it has some problems.
Add power steering if it does not have it. Great for winter.
Suggestion.. Secure the work bench to the wall with 3 or 4 L brackets.. In an effort to make it a more sturdy work surface... The wobble under the pounding was sketch..
you should move the spare in the car (behind the seats) instead of on the trunk. you will see way better in your rear view mirror
Some fitted seat covers will make those look better. Enjoy your added comfort ;)
Better price seats again... Your FC seats run 300-500 used depending on condition obviously.
Mazda is gonna bring back the rotary in hybrid cars.
this is fine
I was watching some of your videos when i saw that you uploaded a new one
@PASCHEL NAHUIJ UROD apo ellada eisai file
That really sucks about the winter car, I was really looking forward to this build
Nice! I have Mazda Speed seats from a Japan RX-7 in my US 93' Miata! Great job!
You should invest in a steering wheel with an airbag (if it was available with one) now that you are running the stock seatbelts.
Looks super cozy

The Rally Miata is going into hibernation for the winter
Im really a fan of the rx-7 seats! keep up the good work
I know it’s just seat brackets but cooling a weld down with water can make the weld weak
Damn I miss that wrx hatchback that you had

Next: Converting the adventure bus into a school bus! :P
I have 35s with 20” rims on my lifted 2003 Dodge Ram
Get some waterproof seat protectors for off roading and then take them off for normal driving, keep them RX7 seats clean! 🙌🏼
The rattling in the exhaust is probably the baffling in the muffler.... maybe you can try removing the baffling and see how it sounds ?
Hit up Taylor Ray his friend parts out Miatas
Literally just about to say the same thing
He has a website... Bensusedmiataparts.com

Yeah ben is a staple in the miata community, of you drive and work on your miata youve heard of that one guy thats made a business parting miatas lol.
you may need change your exhaust bearings that should fix the rattling exhaust ha ha ha ha
Holy shit ur actually really good at welding now
meanwhile removing my BENCH seats is a two person job. Those RX-7 seats look really light!
and also if you don't like exhaust rattle good thing you don't drive my car! The original exhaust bushings and hangars are still in place!
Next build.... (miata restoration) would be pretty cool... hahahaha

Get a black cloth dye for the seats. Cheap and easy...
You should try to "test fit" those ram wheels on the bus
Drift Truck ! Drift Truck ! Drift Truck ! Drift Truck !
I would of put carpet back in that, gonna be cold af in that.
If you put winter tires on I think it would be ok.
I feel like the rally Miata is perfect it just needs to be cleaned up.(paint, interior, etc.)
Always enjoy the videos. Keep up the good work
Also your a big inspiration for me turboing my Miata, so thanks for that
get a couple of cans of vinyl & fabric dye from krylon or dupli-color and make the seats fully black.
NEVER wet welds let them air cool cooling with water make it brittle and prone to cracking
Could you make a video of you driving the ralyata without the hardtop. I would love to see that.
This used to be my favorite build...
I hate the bucket seats in any car. My new car have very comfy heated electric seats with a nice arm rest, it´s really lovely car to cruise around.

Melody I would sit in my sparco all day I have no regrets daily driving with a bucket over stock
You better put something in it to hold heat tbh thats gonna be cold af if not lol
After seeing WeatherTechs prices I got a Walmart set of all weather floor mats.
check your exhaust bearings, mine went out around 230,000 km.
Hey. I think you should consider making the turbo miata a widebody.
I think you just wrecked that roll bar by cutting it, it’s a bolt in right?
Hoover on Cars welded
Nope
The thing didn't fit right anyway, it was too tall. He had to chop out parts of the hardtop to make it fit.
So what's your next project once you finished all of your badass cars and trucks?
Honestly I think I like it more like this
