Other youtubers are learning how to drift while Gingium over here is learning how to drift, circuit race, and autocross/rally racing at the same time. Talk about multi talented 😂
And sorry to be the guy to bust the bubble but he is absolutely terrible at everything.. like he said in the video, he was getting smashed by a stock dodge neon...
Stephen Turner well to be fair, neons are a fairly good rally platform and fwd usally make faster times then Rwd cars because they pull through corners faster
Gingium = most honourable automotive UA-camr. Thanks for the no click bait, no selling out and great videos. I've been following since the og focus days.
TheDeDecker yes that would because of the diff. dropping the tire presser would just ruin the side walls on the track but if he wants to get as much grib as he can he would have to be going really so. Not saying it wouldn't help traction but going fast as he is it wouldn't help
Just to put it out there I was really going for 5 to 8 pounds less just to get a little bit more side wall bite in the corners. He could also add a little bit of positive rear camber. Very little tho
I like the video and the car Gingium , but you need to get rid of those tires and replace them with rally tires or mixed terrain tires. Those tires are too large and not good for rally purpose. IF you look at all the other cars there. They do not have those kind of tires.
I am aware! (There were a couple people with all terrains, but nobody had mud terrains.) I'll be getting a set of rallycross tires as soon as I find a cheap pair!
If you understeer on the muddy corners, try to enter a bit sideways, yanking the ebrake a bit should do the trick if you're low on power, keep the revs high, brake and downshift when needed, you seemed to be reving really low on those corners which prevented wheelspin so you just kept understeering (I mean yeah, easier said than done ofc, keep it up)
You have made massive improvements but a helpful tip that I learned racing go karts and now racing real cars is when you have a lot of possible runs, use them to focus on a single corner of the track, or a secquence of turns... Eventually you will find yourself learning the car and corners much quicker and be able to race a blind track really fast.
Car just understeered when it was super muddy. As soon as it dried up it was doing much better! Some better tires and more use of the hydro will help with understeer :)
You may wana consider mounting the camera just a little bit higher if possible, would give us a much better view i think (both when helmet-mounted and stationary), idk how easily adjustable your suspension is but for mixed surface tracks like this, you could definitely run with much less clearance to keep the center of gravity lower, could improve your time by quite a bit, especially on the tarmac section i think
The Rally Miata looks like a giant yet small little go kart, I freaking love it. Like it’s lifted so it’s big, but it’s a Miata so it’s tiny, and because it’s tiny it looks like a go kart. You’re a mad man for making an off road go kart
This is the type of stuff I love and it looks fun as hell. I've always loved rallycross like this ever since I began playing games with said event. Like the old gran turismo rally tracks.
This is one of your best videos yet, the rally miata did so well and it did look fast all the way through. You had way bigger balls at this event for sure. Keep it up, also enjoy seeing you master drifting in Molly
A good tip on the dirt would be to teach yourself the scandinavian flick it really helps a lot initiating corners on a loose surface like dirt, gravel, mud, etc... Other than that it’s really amazing to watch you film these events like this really enjoying it!
Axial eh mud can be kinda different, you have to use lift off oversteer instead of the brakes in a lot of areas to do a controlled turn. I guess some would say that’s not really “coasting” though
I understand, at the beginning it looked like he was just coasting because he was unsure of the course. He started to really improve once he was confident.
Loved the video! Remember the most important thing in the dirt sections is to steer before the apex because it takes a while for the car to respond and dont be afraid to use the handbrake a bit more
It seems to be understeering in steady state cornering. You can fix that by stiffening rear sway bushings or softening front sway bushings. Mixing poly and rubber sway bushings is fine. Or you can make some molds and make custom durometer bushings by pouring your own sway bushings.
This channel really needs more love that it gets. Like the content is just, to me at least, so enjoyable. Like I'm always excited seeing your work all come together and when you use your cars for what they're meant to it just looks like so much fun. It really makes me want to just go racing myself and I can't wait until I fix my car up/get a new one and do what I see you doing. Like you and I are the same age but you're legit a big inspiration to me in the sense that you show everyone that really you can do almost whatever you want no matter your age or budget. I just hope you find some way to bring a bunch not people to the channel so you can continue to do what you enjoy and we can enjoy watching that. Keep up the good work bro 👍
I think you should buy some nice wheel and play some sim racers in the office :) It would probably help you with drifting, I mean Assetto Corsa is pretty real in terms of physics..
Man i must say you learn pretty fast! From the 1st to the last run its a big improvement!! Its nothing pro driver like but you really put together a nice evolution! First the blue miata with drifting and now this! I can just say keep up the good work!!!!!
The blue turbo’d Miata @ 5:47 in the background is fucking awesome! That guy is a rallycross legend around the Midwest. Always putting down fast times!
I liked the editing of the "timelapse video - normal sound" part, it was nice, and I think that if you would record from a go-pro on the roof, it would give us a greater feeling of speed and a bigger eyesight. Great video BTW, love your vids, keep up the good work. I've learned a lot from you, and I can't wait for that new project. :)
Looks like you may need to soften the front suspension a bit, give the tires a chance to bite in with a bit more front end roll. Looks like awesome fun dude.
you should get a go pro mount that goes higher on the helmet if you can, because it is hard to see the course with this angle, but im excited as hecc for the drift truck :D I like the inbetween seats view, but if you could find a way to bungee it to the roof / headrests so there is less shakey shakey it would be amazing
Stage Rally (the stuff the pro's do) is always mixed surface. RallyCross isnt. They're two very different things! Some day I want to get into stage Rally.
It depends what style rallycross u are driving. @Gingium is driving in usa style rallycross in this video. European style rallycross is different to this. European style is always half track gravel/mud and half pavement. Also in european rallycross theres more cars in track same time. Stage rally is what wrc guys are driving. Sorry for my bad english im from finland, but u get the point.
You have have GRC in USA which is a mixed surface rallycross. Stage rally and rallycross are completely different. And normally rallycross is mixed surface regardless of your level
Caleb if u need any tips on that Mazda mini truck. I've owned a b2000 for 6+ years and have tons of extra parts if u need any. Congrats on the good times at the event
also, and I'm not familiar with off-road driving, but if you punch the brake and then turn in, would that help the understeer? My thinking being it would plant your front wheels into the ground to give you traction..
This event looked so cool! More slomo man I called it last time ;) The improvement was probably even more noticeable than during the drift event as the first runs were pretty painful tbh but hey at the end you looked like a pro at it was such a pleasure to watch! Thanks for this amazing video again! I really do hope the video gets to 10k likes since you kinda revealed the car like 3 times already but I just want the best for you! Cheers from Mallorca! ;)
I noticed when u got gud kid you started to utilise your newfound driving ability to power through traction loss in the corners. In my n00b opinion, that's what rally is about, anticipating the traction or lack thereof of a corner and adjusting your entry speed, angle, and throttle accordingly. Awesome improvement man! Looks like a ton of fun. Pretty soon you'll be doing mad dirt skids on long turns and left-foot braking in your WRX swap!
A tip for faster times?.. U ever heard of Apex turns madude? I see you coming wide and understeering 😅 turn on the inside... You wont understeer and slide so far outside
Since you said that you wanted to get rid of the plasti dip paint job you should get the same color or a similar color in a LINE X paintjob...its like bedliner and it's super tough against anything, your car wouldn't get scratched if a branch or something hits your car and it's super easy to wash when your done offloading cause all you have to do is spray it off and your done.
I really liked the last camra angle in the rally Miata I think alittle more too the right and aimed more at you id like it a lot more and so glad Audrey is back
If it was a AWD the hydro would help you so much in the dirt for sharp corners and doing powerslides. And most importantly you could get the full potential of the engine with AWD on dirt. Btw i was never curious can you do a AWD Swap with the stock engine in the miata?
Instead of putting 93 octane in, could you do 87 or 89 (sorry, from CA we have 87/89/91, is it higher for regular in IL?) and then add an octane booster? Do you normally run 93 or just for events?
Need less psi in dem tires, and for the b2200 just do a simple angle kit, lower some, wheels, and make some weld on traction bars so you don't get wheel hop from axle wrap, hand brake, and then when winter comes around, swap a sbc, do a parallel 4 link with a watts link and coilovers front and rear. I do fine in my under powered auto 22r so you should be fine with a manual.
Other youtubers are learning how to drift while Gingium over here is learning how to drift, circuit race, and autocross/rally racing at the same time. Talk about multi talented 😂
Vittorio Prigalih he also learing how to be a carpenter and welding-god lmao
And sorry to be the guy to bust the bubble but he is absolutely terrible at everything.. like he said in the video, he was getting smashed by a stock dodge neon...
Stephen Turner well to be fair, neons are a fairly good rally platform and fwd usally make faster times then Rwd cars because they pull through corners faster
It's only multi talented if he's good at it.
Vittorio Prigalih Yea bet my damn stock chevrolet cavalier coulda beat him at RallyX
Gingium = most honourable automotive UA-camr. Thanks for the no click bait, no selling out and great videos. I've been following since the og focus days.
TFC same here
mcm better production
0:30 That drift truck is gonna be awesome can´t wait :)
Nubz I saw it to my guy
Caleb just tweeted saying he was gonna buy a new car this weekend,so we need to figure out what that is going to be lol.
Most likeley.
PumaGaming or the drive train
He said it was a car so it is most likley the new daily since he mentioned that a while ago or a junkyard wrx with a good engine who knows.
Just when you think you like a guy... the milk before cereal saga continues. #StopThisMadness
A trick: you can watch series on flixzone. Been using them for watching loads of movies recently.
@Isaac Kase definitely, I've been watching on Flixzone} for months myself =)
You should drop tire pressure a little more on the muddier tracks
thats what i was thinking
Garrick pettus it would work if he wants to go slow not faster.
kwik 1997 he is spinning tires
TheDeDecker yes that would because of the diff. dropping the tire presser would just ruin the side walls on the track but if he wants to get as much grib as he can he would have to be going really so. Not saying it wouldn't help traction but going fast as he is it wouldn't help
Just to put it out there I was really going for 5 to 8 pounds less just to get a little bit more side wall bite in the corners. He could also add a little bit of positive rear camber. Very little tho
DRIFT TRUCK CONFIRMED. YOU AIN'T SLICK DADDY GING
What? I have no idea what all of you guys are talking about!
uh sure :) new daily soon 2?
Gingium I love you
Gingium 00:31 in the backround
Gingium dude, Caleb, seen between 0:30 and 0:31
When I watch this in 1.5 speed you're driving like Sebastian Loeb LOL!
I like the video and the car Gingium
, but you need to get rid of those tires and replace them with rally tires or mixed terrain tires. Those tires are too large and not good for rally purpose. IF you look at all the other cars there. They do not have those kind of tires.
I am aware! (There were a couple people with all terrains, but nobody had mud terrains.)
I'll be getting a set of rallycross tires as soon as I find a cheap pair!
That's great dude! Keep up the great content
Waiting for the lower profile
Gingium black rocket are like $600 for a set. That's about the best you will find. Huge difference in performance.
Lower profile will be nicer on the brakes.
If you understeer on the muddy corners, try to enter a bit sideways, yanking the ebrake a bit should do the trick if you're low on power, keep the revs high, brake and downshift when needed, you seemed to be reving really low on those corners which prevented wheelspin so you just kept understeering (I mean yeah, easier said than done ofc, keep it up)
oh just watched another run and that's pretty much what you did, gg ^^
damn the 7th run was really good, great improvement in such short time
YOU PUT CEREAL IN THE BOWL FIRST
The Real Gamer yes
The Real Gamer I put cereal first then the milk
I just put the bowl on top of the cereal and then pour milk on that's how u should have it
Yes that's how you do it psycho
milk then cereal then bowl
You should have the tyre pressure waaaay down with those big mud tyres... How do you expect to get any traction at all!!??
You have made massive improvements but a helpful tip that I learned racing go karts and now racing real cars is when you have a lot of possible runs, use them to focus on a single corner of the track, or a secquence of turns... Eventually you will find yourself learning the car and corners much quicker and be able to race a blind track really fast.
The car looks like it’s understeering on the dirt, the AWD swap should help possibly but you will start to get more understeer on the pavement.
Car just understeered when it was super muddy. As soon as it dried up it was doing much better!
Some better tires and more use of the hydro will help with understeer :)
weld the diff and you can fix the understeer throttle kicking it on the corners
if you had a turbo of course
DeadJuice Do not weld the differential when you are doing rally/rallycross you will loose control. you can get away with it in fwd car but that's it.
I absolutely love the way this car looks especially when it's hitting the mud. Those wheels are a good size for sure
Can u plz start ur next build I want parts off of it :P
wait a sec, B2k body and you need parts off of it... REPU?
Look at 0:30 in the background :P
You really need to consult with Caleb before you upload
Waleed Mushasha can you tell what it is I can’t
i think a mazda ute or some sort
You did awesome! One thing I noticed your slowing WAY to down around those cones! Love the videos keep up the great content! Safe travels
Yep! Definitely braking too early and going to slow around the corners.

Really nice seeing you improve!
At run 6 it started looking fast 💪
Keep going!
rally the bus!
Drift the bus!
2jz the bus and slam it then daily it the bus!
No no no.... He should slam the rally Miata then rally it
kwik 1997
No he should slam his girlfriend then rally the bus
Anthony Rios no he should slam his girl and post it on UA-cam 😉
This is the type of stuff I love and it looks fun as hell. I've always loved rallycross like this ever since I began playing games with said event. Like the old gran turismo rally tracks.
really enjoying your high quality filming and editing of these events, please keep it up!
This is one of your best videos yet, the rally miata did so well and it did look fast all the way through. You had way bigger balls at this event for sure. Keep it up, also enjoy seeing you master drifting in Molly
You should check if the fuel filter is clogged on the bus. That’s probably the reason why it takes so long to start.
A good tip on the dirt would be to teach yourself the scandinavian flick it really helps a lot initiating corners on a loose surface like dirt, gravel, mud, etc... Other than that it’s really amazing to watch you film these events like this really enjoying it!
here's a tip that helped me a lot, never coast while racing, always either be on the gas or on the brakes.
Remember the most important thing in the dirt sections is to steer before the apex because it takes a while for the car to respond and dont be afraid to use the handbrake a bit more
Did you ever find out where you placed?
Your cinematography is fire. So much improvement
Ging just remember to think about your line and you'll do a lot better. You should be swinging through the track if that makes sense.
It seems to be understeering in steady state cornering. You can fix that by stiffening rear sway bushings or softening front sway bushings.
Mixing poly and rubber sway bushings is fine. Or you can make some molds and make custom durometer bushings by pouring your own sway bushings.
roof rack for aero right? downforce through the corners?
You're looking a lot faster Ging, keep up the hard work. Love the builds!
Anyone else leave a like before the ads are even over?
SoFL Rider lmao ads....
Such an improvement on your driving your actually good now its very nice to see! not easy driving RWD in the mud!
0:31 the Mazda drift truck can be seen, way to go Caleb, you’ve ruined the surprise
Xavier Ridge it has been revealed and hinted so many times
That zach guy in shooting cars literally reviewed the truck
Xavier Ridge it's been know since the first vid of him saying he has a surprised build
Xavier Ridge I’m mad at how nice the truck is. I was looking at it and it is almost perfect
Your directing skills have gotten so good over the years
0:31
Yeah, she’s confirmed. Just reveal it Ging.😂
This channel really needs more love that it gets. Like the content is just, to me at least, so enjoyable. Put light bars on the bus
Robert Smith yes it needs new front lights theyre terrible
Looks like you were having a good time, and your Lap times weren't too shabby either. And well '95 was a good year... looking forward to the build :)
I think you should buy some nice wheel and play some sim racers in the office :) It would probably help you with drifting, I mean Assetto Corsa is pretty real in terms of physics..
Obv1ously not
Nothing beats real life drifting. He just needs to find some parking lots.
TT04 Yes, of course.. But sim drifting is cheaper and easier (kind of) because you cant crash the car, you dont need spare tires etc.
The improvements come with seat time and getting more comfortable with the car. Keep it up
*0:31** That pick up is ur new drift car??? :0*
GeJMSiK CZ Why Don't Be A Gamer? 😱 good catch!
Yep it´s his new mazda b2000 drift truck.
Caleb this driving is hella fun to watch! Great job!
if u only had your old Subaru
I absolutly love the begging editing gingium i love it.. keep doing that.
I see why you want AWD now
Man i must say you learn pretty fast! From the 1st to the last run its a big improvement!!
Its nothing pro driver like but you really put together a nice evolution!
First the blue miata with drifting and now this! I can just say keep up the good work!!!!!
0:31 what is that car in the garage? 😊
thatcatdude 03 mazda b2200
Alex 0 It looks like a mazda b2000 but I wouldn't say 03, more like one from the 90s
Ryder21 gingiums friend zach, on his channel shooting cars, he reviewed it and said it was b2200
Ryder21 and i said 03 cause its the dudes name^
Alex Mazda 787b profile picture. Yummy
The blue turbo’d Miata @ 5:47 in the background is fucking awesome! That guy is a rallycross legend around the Midwest. Always putting down fast times!
Old camera??

I saw the truck its red
Mazda B2000
HOLY SHIT WE HAVE CONFORMATION THAT THE BRIGHT RED TRUCK IS FUCKING RED
Yeah i saw it tooo its a mazda b2000 and its not green
Looks like you may need to soften the front suspension a bit, give the tires a chance to bite in with a bit more front end roll. Looks like awesome fun dude.
21:00
We already know Gingium 😂 it’s all over the background
'10k likes'
at first i felt like you werent driving with enough sense of urgency, but by the third run you picked it up. nice progression man! keep it up
#drifttruckintheback
you should get a go pro mount that goes higher on the helmet if you can, because it is hard to see the course with this angle, but im excited as hecc for the drift truck :D
I like the inbetween seats view, but if you could find a way to bungee it to the roof / headrests so there is less shakey shakey it would be amazing
B2200
run 8 was beast as, good seeing you improve and actually start going hard af
Rallycross is always mixed-surface...
Stage Rally (the stuff the pro's do) is always mixed surface. RallyCross isnt. They're two very different things!
Some day I want to get into stage Rally.
you're wrong but whatever
Rudpavv Rudpavv is correct. Ken Block did an explanation on it too.
It depends what style rallycross u are driving. @Gingium is driving in usa style rallycross in this video. European style rallycross is different to this. I know your problem, your not fully given er the onion
true
This video was a great way to start off my birthday!
Weld the diff
also, and I'm not familiar with off-road driving, but if you punch the brake and then turn in, would that help the understeer? My thinking being it would plant your front wheels into the ground to give you traction..
Like for new pickup
Hey Takumi
IMO the Rally Miata is the coolest build you have right now. 👌
I think its a GMC and can I say the time gingium
aaron johnson it could be a Miata too
Mazda b2000
00:30 background
Shooting stars did a rewiew on calebs car
aaron johnson its a mazda b2200
Nice work, Caleb - I'm doing a rallycross school tomorrow in the #rallyxgolf. So much fun!
Just a suggestion... you should try lowering the tire pressure for the multi-surface events. Mud terrains love lower pressures.
You could try replacing the fluid in the VLSD and make sure you use a friction modifier.
First autocross event that actually felt like you're racing. I mean it in a complementary way.
Cheers from Mallorca! ;)
Don't let off the throttle when you are turning just ease into it, that's when you are understeering and losing time. Best of luck, dude!
Its good to see you pushing harder each run
Looks like good fun, keep up the good work. Think you could save the on the differential if it brings the AWD drivetrain quicker. Lol
A tip for faster times?.. U ever heard of Apex turns madude? I see you coming wide and understeering 😅 turn on the inside... You wont understeer and slide so far outside
Riley Rook some purposeful lift off oversteer to slow down and reposition in the dirt would help too
Since you said that you wanted to get rid of the plasti dip paint job you should get the same color or a similar color in a LINE X paintjob...its like bedliner and it's super tough against anything, your car wouldn't get scratched if a branch or something hits your car and it's super easy to wash when your done offloading cause all you have to do is spray it off and your done.
i just love how the vibration makes it looks so intense in the inside xD
I really liked the last camra angle in the rally Miata I think alittle more too the right and aimed more at you id like it a lot more and so glad Audrey is back
Great job. It's good to see that the rally Miata is not just for show
love the moment you upload best miata youtuber on the planet
Damn! glad to see Aubrey as excited as you are during those runs
If it was a AWD the hydro would help you so much in the dirt for sharp corners and doing powerslides. And most importantly you could get the full potential of the engine with AWD on dirt. Btw i was never curious can you do a AWD Swap with the stock engine in the miata?
Dont they make stabilizer mounts for go pros? lol you should invest in one. The event looked like a lot of fun though.
Have you considered going with smaller wheels and gravel tires? It might make better use of your power.
When you get the awd swap i think you should get lower profile tires. Maybe more like what they use on real rally cross cars polos, focuses eg.
Love to see you improving bro keep up the great work and content!!
Instead of putting 93 octane in, could you do 87 or 89 (sorry, from CA we have 87/89/91, is it higher for regular in IL?) and then add an octane booster? Do you normally run 93 or just for events?
Also, there's lots of info out there on welded diffs being better than open for rally. Could be interesting to experiment before spending $$$
I liked the subtle editing changes
LOVED this video! Keep them coming!
Thanks for the ride along.
Gingium, two things. First to be faster drive like you're sponsored. Second nice drift truck you got there 0:29 and please keep it red
Did I see the new project? Is it a truck? Is it red? Is it someone else’s truck or is it not even your shop that I saw it in at 0:31?
