You are so good, not just with your photography skills, but making everything easier for others to understand. And most importantly making us feel so much at ease. Thank you so much.
This is fantastic. I’ve been interested in food photography for years and have been saving for a DSLR and lenses, but am using my iPhone right now to practice learning the basics on lighting and composition. I think it’s so helpful that the light room app has all of these features and your demonstration was helpful in tying the pieces together. I never noticed this function was available!
loved the tutorial. I've been using lightroom mobile for 2 years now and i never even tried the camera in the app. Thanks for sharing, this will step up the photo game for lots of us
Thank you, I didn’t even realize there was a camera in Lightroom mobile! This might be a game changer, not only for food photos, but also for everything. I’m a Fuji shooter, some are moving to the other photo editing programs for better compatibility but this is why I can’t switch, integration makes me stay.
nice one, it makes me want to experiment with my phone now 😂 4:04 i find that the better way to avoid that is to zoom 2X when shooting food with a smartphone, when a client asks me a way to take better shots of food with his phone i give him 2 advices, use natural light, try using a curtain as a diffuser if lighting is harsh and zoom 2X to avoid wide angle perspective. Sure you loose some quality but to me 50mm and above is the focal length for food, and you dont need a vertical tripod. (I prefer 70 and above to be honest)
Hi there! Fantastic channel. I didn’t see your camera stand or the clamp that’s holding your phone anywhere in the description box. I also didn’t see it on the equipment link.. can you add that info up?? Thanks so much, Great work!
I would stick to ISO 25 when using an iPhone and a tripod, as long as the camera app can manage long enough shutter speeds (another limitation to worry about). Noise gets heavy very fast with these tiny little sensors, so using the lowest ISO possible helps a lot. Should have worked with your natural light shot, but might not have worked with your studio shot (there I would've set the slowest shutter speed and set the exposure by increasing the ISO). After using a smartphone for "serious" shooting you start to appreciate a "real" camera even more … ;-)
Hi! First, excuse me for my english. I try improve my english every day. I see you always, I like all you videos. My questios is, wha mic you use rigth now to record the audio in yours videos. Thanks!
Wow! This is a very useful video - not only for using the iPhone to do product photography but also for putting Lr for mobile to use. I have been using Lr mobile for quite some time and didn't know it had all these manual controls! Thank you!
Hi! I just watch this video by now. Thank you so much for making this video, it's really helpfull for us who owning small business in culinary, now we can learn to take product photoshoot by ourself
great tutorial! one suggestion to consider for future videos is having an app recording your phone screen, instead of a over head shot so we can see the adjustments clearly.
This might be a silly question but do food photographers generally make the food themselves or do they hire people to make the food? Like..I know you CAN but a lot of the time the food seems extravagant.
Do I have to bring the light box (I dunno that name) to get the PERFECT fhoto with iphone? What about i don't have these things? What about I want to take a picture in the public I mean in restorant.
Great video!!!! Very informative and I enjoyed it. I just wanted to find out how you edit videos to make them fast and slow when you were plating your food. I am an upcoming photographer for my private chef business so I need to learn this technique for my cooking videos. T
Hi! Very informative...however I don't see the fine adjustments etc etc in the Lightroom mobile app that you are showing, such as focus, ISO, white balance etc etc etc...Does this app only work this way w iPhone 11 Pro..or ??
@@ritojachakravorty7266 It was worth the 6 mins just to get the tips on how to use the LR camera app. I also bought his LR filters. Even without the extra gear, this still improves my game significantly.
Hello, dear, I have an inquiry About buying the best lens, I have a Canon D90 camera I want to buy a 50 mm lens, but I want to know the best choice in buying a 50 - EF or RF lens, thank you
Does that “center column” extension come with the the tripod or is it a separate piece that I have to purchase? I clicked the link in the description but can not tell by the pictures (or item description).
Great tips here! Worked with a Digital camera the first 5 years of food blogging, (UA-cam Channel), now I find my iPhone does too many amazing things in photography not to make it my primary camera, especially since one social media format wants horizontal while others use vertical. Clipping the iPhone onto a tripod that has a moving arm has been the issue, Pipe cleaner wires were my first fix, will look for your clip. Also... Lavalier mic for iPhone is another issue. No one wants to listen to a video in which the sound is not sharp. Any suggestions there?
Hi!! I just found your channel, and so far is very informative, thank you. Where can I get the trípode in this video? I agree with you Light in a picture can make it or break it. A good light will make the best picture. The camera will not make a picture with bad lighting good. Boy!!! I know that LOL!! Thank you. 😊
well there was the daylight portion..haha.. but I feel you, the real point I was trying to make with that is, if money is tight and all you have is a phone you can make good pictures with minimal gear. And a $100 constant light + phone is cheaper than a new camera and lenses.
you can use a home lamp with a white bulb in it. I did that for jewelry pics a while ago. Or you can use day light. Which I prefer it over studio light. Than is personal taste more than anything 😊☺️
Great tutorial! Do you have your phone's camera zoomed in? Default focal length on a phone is wide angle and if I zoom in, doesn't it reduce its quality?
You are so good, not just with your photography skills, but making everything easier for others to understand. And most importantly making us feel so much at ease. Thank you so much.
Awesome! Thank you!
Dear everybody! For once an all! Light is what makes an image not the camera.
Yehh!!
Ok, well you told us 😂😂
Artificial light is expensive

Thanks for the help 👍
So enjoyed watching this! Would love to know where one gets the background sheets, like the one you laid over the table for the natural light demo.
Great job! Having fun shooting with the Google Pixel. Straight out of camera, it gives a color boosted contrasty delicious shot. :)

same here. i didnt know you can take photos using lightroom. i usually just use the basic editing in lightroom. now i can fully utilize it

Yes, looking for that too!
Thank you for a great video..!! 👍 The best thing I have ever taken with my iPhone 4, like 6 years ago, was my food.

Hi dear. what is your camera app? i have an iphone, but its camera does not this setting..
hi, what app are you using please?
Hi, we are shooting overhead recipe videos, what fps and aperture do you think is the best? Thanks in advance
Hi, give me please link for this phone clamp please. THK you!
Which app did you use for editing?
What's the name of the white stuff he put on the window, 2:01?
Thanks!
It's called a light diffuser
At 5:30, are you taking photos and putting them together to make a video? I love the effect.
What is the name of the app? ASAP
Nice tutorial. I will apply this on my youtube channel
What is the name of long tripod name & gear as well
People who shoot with a phone don't tend to have access to the holder, and the diffuser. just saying
Darya Sinusoid exactly. And if ur eating outside and want to have beutiful food photos you cant bring all these stuff 😂
Read the title of the video. "Like a Pro."
Ya.. Wish I knew before wasting six min.. Why use a phone when using such gears..
If a person can afford a $1,000 Iphone they can buy lights off amazon for $30/ light.. just saying.

Hello, dear, I have an inquiry
About buying the best lens, I have a Canon D90 camera
I want to buy a 50 mm lens, but I want to know the best choice in buying a 50 - EF or RF lens, thank you
If you have the D90 I would go for the EF lens or you can buy tons of other 3rd party 50mm lenses
I dont see the blue button in my iphone. may I know what camera app you use
the light room app, is it by adobe?
Would you please recommend video editing apps?
Hello, Please I'm about to get the canon 800d for food photography, Is it better than Canon 2000d. Pls I am waiting for you reply
Excellent. Thanks so much for this. My high school students are grateful.

He doesn’t list any tripods in all his gear list! I don’t know why
very good ideas ........thankyou for sharing
Solid tutorial. So helpful! 10/10

Great tutorial! Do you have your phone's camera zoomed in? Default focal length on a phone is wide angle and if I zoom in, doesn't it reduce its quality?
Which is the video editor being used?
Thanks for your good instruction.
What’s the tripod that you use ???
Manfrotto 055
Where did your get the wood backdrop

You are great man, thank you for this valuable help. Greetings to you from Morocco
Why my Lightroom menus are slight different? I'm using the free version, the menus in premium paid version are different?
Maybe I’m not sure 🤔
