    Excited to start food photography, these videos are priceless. And it doesn’t hurt that we share the same name, doesn’t usually happen! It’s always “Skylar”

    You are an amazing teacher man. I’m not into food photography or video, but I’m learning a very translatable skill for what I am doing. Thank you for your knowledge bro!

    Omg that lighting tips..... I never thought that putting light not flat on the diffuser would make that result. Thanks man 👍👍

    Hi Skyler. I loved all your backdrops but I live in France.😢
    By the way, how can we put the human éléments in the photo after the shoot ?
    I am using Lightroom. Thank you in advanced.
    Bernie😊

    Great video again! Do you have a case or something to travel with your backgrounds?

    • @skylerburtphotos
      @skylerburtphotos  Рік тому +1

      That would be one big case! It's a good idea, but I usually use moving blankets or I rent backgrounds for some shoots

    • @kenlewphoto
      @kenlewphoto Рік тому

      Oh I don’t mean big rolls of backgrounds lol I mean for your flat lays. I noticed you have smaller ones that you laid down. I have some that are made of water proof/resistant paper and I wanted to have a way of storing or traveling with them without damaging during transport. Anyway, just wondering if you had something like that. Thanks for your reply!

    Coming to my question for this particular video .
    Are you going to be using continuous lighting for your shoot setup of are you going to be using Flash with the C.light.
    would love to know thanks

    Thanks for the great video! I'm about to invest in a few surfaces for food photography. What size (e.g. 2x4 ft, 3x4 ft) do you think works best for this purpose? It's an answer that's surprisingly difficult to find online!

  • @SusanneGeert

    Great tips Skyler! My hardest part of flatlays are definitely getting them 100% straight. It's like every time I try to adjust the ballhead a tiny bit I loosen the 'adjusting handle/knot', move a milimeter and tighten the 'adjuster' again - and then it 'falls' into place with the weight of the camera and still not straight. Any tips? Kind regards, Susanne

    Hello Sir. Any advise on a tripod ball head strong enough to hold the Canon 1DXMKII with a Tamron 24-70 Lens for flat lays? I usually use a tripod video head because no ball head that I have can hold such heavy setup steady.
