Very educational. Thank you 👍🏻
I learn so much from each of your videos. I especially appreciate your explanations of all the little things that can go wrong and distort the final result. It is a work in progress to minimise all these inaccuracies. So far my best method is to just stop and try again with a fresh sheet of paper. While somewhat elusive, It is so satisfying when the circles intersect properly and the diameter lines actually touch the centre consistently. Thank you for documenting these methods so clearly.
very welcome! I think you express it so well the process, the frustration the joy too! all really worthy ways of spending our time😊
Samira, thank you! I am loving your channel and your personality! You are an amazing teacher!
thank you so much!😊😊
I've always loved this sort of practical geometry just for its own sake, making this video about the most enjoyable thing I've seen lately that didn't involve kittens. :-)
Here's a little bit of drawing office history from my dad, who was an old school aviation draughtsman. The thin lead mechanical pencils first appeared in the 1960s, when European standards started to be adopted here and line widths codified - they were regarded with a good deal of disdain because one of the many skills involved in engineering drawing was sharpening clutch pencil leads (or indeed wooden pencils) to the desired width, which was chosen according to taste, within reason. This was always done on sandpaper, to a chisel edge. The new-fangled contraptions took away a little skill to take pride in. Funnily enough, nobody was particularly sad to retire their ruling pens when the Rotring Isograph appeared, though.
love this! I cam just imagine me taking pride in such things too! I usually wedge everyone's 2mm leads with an emery board/nail file in a class and am quite proud of my minimal moves and mess!
@@samiramian Ah yes, your classes. Kingston is distinctly possible ...

Samira kindly, draw with dark pen .
Its perfectly fine as it is, for those who want to learn - especially when doing this difficult construction with a pen, i have plenty of tutorials where Ive used pen.
