I think if I was to take on that rear end, I would fill it with “sprue goo”(Tamiya extra thin cement and sprue shavings mix) maybe throw in a sprue that fits in the hole. Then put a piece of styrene on top for a little extra strength. Then the hard part… let it dry and harden. Then..Hack away! I can’t say enough about that “sprue goo” for filling gaps. It’s like molded plastic. It’s a “hot” bond and won’t snap away like super glue. Well just a thought. I love this hobby. I’m building this same kit with my daughter. I’m looking forward to seeing more of your build. JC : )
Built one of these trucks when I was a kid...Think it may have cost a couple or three bucks at the time. It amazes me as to how expensive these kits have become.

Thank you for the tip, and I will keep it for future reference. I already have that part done, but your way would have been much more presentable.
Great update. Model on.
Thank you
Subscribed to Pats channel. I love the old Racers Wedge kit, built one last year and just picked up another one!
Thank you and a special thanks to subscribing to Pat's channel.

Looks like a cool project!! ✌️😁
Thanks. I hope it will be.

I still remember when the AMT annual kits cost $1.39.
