- I'm going to demonstrate how to make the drop shot rig for bluegill fishing! This rig will catch loads of bluegill and other panfish. It's a great way to present bait off the bottom in a natural manner that's sure to trick fish into taking the bait in many weather and water conditions. Give it a try! It's gonna be a good time.

GO REDS!
YES! This might be the first comment I’ve ever gotten that’s positive about the Reds. I catch so much flack living in St. Louis. 🤣
@@ShowMetheHawgs lol Yikes that's a rough place to be a Reds fan.
Good, simple instructions! Pan fishing all day with this setup!!
You’ll hit your state limit in no time!
Great instructional video. Can’t wait to try.
Good luck!
I run a double drop shot with shads on top and NRV Creek Daddies on the bottom
Interesting…
Make me want to try the drop shot on the ultra light

Can you fish this in shallow water?
Yes. The second half of the video I was fishing in 1-2 feet of water.
What size is that hook?
It’s s 1/64oz jig head
@@ShowMetheHawgs jig head???? looks like a regular hook to me.
Why do you think that a drop shot rig is better than using a slip cork?
I wouldn’t say it’s better. Maybe in some situations like if the fish are in deeper water. Still, a slip cork will work just as well in similar situations. In fact, I’d use a slip float more often for bluegill and crappie. Adjusting the depth is a possibility and it can be cast farther.
