Welcome to Show Me the Hawgs! In 2019, I started this channel to share my love of fishing with anyone willing to watch. With my friend Billy, our goal in creating fishing videos is two fold: educate our viewers about fishing and entertain you along the way. We make various styles of videos like rig, knot, and gear tutorials, bait and lure tests, and demonstrating various methods of catching many species. Basically, if it swims, we'll figure out a way to catch it. We target gamefish such as catfish, bass, bluegill and other sunfish, crappie, trout, walleye, and paddlefish. Don't be surprised if you find us targeting some sharks! We also target less popular fish like gar, carp, drum, and buffalo. Our methods cover just about everything to include conventional tackle, fly fishing, bowfishing and fishing off the bank, out of a boat, and off kayaks and canoes. In the end, we hope you come away from our channel more knowledgeable and inspired to get out there and catch fish of your own!
How to Fish the TEXAS RIG | Best Bass Fishing Rigs
How do you fish a Texas rig for bass? In this video, I show you how I fish it. The Texas rig is a wonderful rig the bass can't pass up. Put a stick bait, swimbait, or creature bait on there depending on what you think the fish will want that day and get ready for the bass to attack. I can't recommend fishing a Texas rig enough, and this video will demonstrate why.

Glad to hear you got it done. Even though I’ve done it a number of times, taking reels apart always makes me anxious. Terrified a spring or gear is gonna fall or fly off never to be found again.
You throwing the watermelon red in the stained/muddy water?
I like throwing more natural presentations in the lakes and ponds in my area. A lot of them have similarly stained water and get pressured quite a bit.

I've caught only one crappie at Bee Tree and it was exactly that same size...I'm still waiting to land one of the monsters so many people claim are in that lake!

A great lure for it's size but they do make larger crawdad lures & they do catch fish I'm just not sure if it's Rebel that makes a larger one but they are out there & they work. I've not had troubles with the double hooks.
I did see larger lures but went with the smaller ones given were I’d be fishing. Might go with the larger ones next time I’m fishing a smallie stream.
@@ShowMetheHawgs I fish a farm pond when not on the river or reservoir's & the smaller one is a killer there but for the river i will use one of the few different crawdad lures i have & have pretty good luck with them. Overall both sizes have their use & they all will catch crappies, gills Large & Smallmouths & anything it ends up near . Always good to have both size lures.

Tie your leader first and you can use a Palomar knot on both ends. . Then tie the leader to your main line with a Palomar knot

How good is the rebel crawfish lure? I have been using this lure since I was a little kid and I caught so many different species I started to make it a point to take that little crawfish literally everywhere I go fishing, just to see if I can add another species to my list. These are the species I have personally caught with the rebel crawfish lure.. Sunfish, crappie, channel cat, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, white bass, saugeye, rainbow trout, speckled trout, pinfish, Kroker and a ladyfish!
Checks out. Seems it will catch just about everything. If it swims, she’ll eat.
