In my humble estimation we carry/transfer more weight to the side of the punch by slightly pivoting the foot/knee, therefore, more weight (with the same acceleration) equals more power. But if were to follow-up the Hook with another punch, then the pivot is not required because we need the balance to prepare the Next action. Love your content!!

I agree, but I also feel like there's something to using the pivot as a training tool to really ingrain the habit of turning the hip.
People need to learn to entertain ideas rather then finding reasons to disprove them or counter them.
