The more you hear, the more you learn about this remarkable young lady, the more you will love her. She has a heart as big and beautiful as her voice, and has helped to raise more than 20 million Euros for children's charities. She has been singing for international charity events since she was eight, or younger. She is very sophisticated, multi-cultural, multi-lingual, has sung in Japan, (in Japanese!) S. Korea, Indonesia, Germany, Sweden, Norway of course, the US, & probably some places I don't know about. She has also sung for Nobel Prize winners, for President Obama, and Quincy Jones was so impressed he invited her to sing for his 85th birthday celebration. He said she is the best talent since Michael Jackson. That's very high praise! This is the nth time i hear her sing and it still feels like the first time! There's some kind of magic in her unique tone and voice that captivates her audience. Look at all the people in the bleachers putting all their phone lights on in support of Angelina...She's a legend born before her time!
Thanks for a great reaction to our Angel of 1000 Voices & I have subscribed with the hope that you will do many more reactions to Angelina. You have a lot to catch up on since over the last 6 years since she won Norway's Got Talent, she has covered 125 different songs (60 different artists)across all genre, has 4 originals, 3 written by her, 1 written for her & an album from 2018 called "It's Magic" When I discovered her 2 years ago I was totally blown away & spent the next few days watching nothing but her videos. She has many of the most beautiful voices I have ever heard. She can go raspy, she can be smooth, she can go soft & beautiful or she can blow your socks off belting with the best of them. She has perfected every vocal ornament there is, but she only shows you what's needed for a particular song. Therefore it takes listening to 20-30 of her songs until you've seen most of what she's got. This performance on AGT-Champions is my new favorite, but for the last 2 years my favorite song was her cover of Adele's A Million Years Ago that she did when she was 12. It is so much better than the original that someone did a match-up video of this song going back & forth between Adele & Angelina & it is shocking how much better Angelina expresses the emotion of the song. By the time she finishes school & finally accepts one of the many offers she has received from record labels since she won NGT, she will be the Superstar of this generation. A little remark on her about being "only" 13 - From her behavior, talks and gestures Angelina actually behaves like (a very well-educated) young teenager what imo is letting her appearance as an already not only very seasoned but also very distinct singer shine even more. I'm a little surprised no on has mentioned it yet. She allways performs barefoot. When she was six she was traveling in a poor country and saw a little girl with no shoes trying to make money by renting a bathroom scale. It was cold. Angulina talked to her and gave her shoes to her. She promised to remember her and performs barefoot to call attention to the desperately poor children in the world. She speaks English,and Persian in addition to her native Norwegian. I read recently that she speaks 4 languages but I don't know what the fourth is. Her grandmother is a artist from Irian. She made her performance clothes herself using cloth patterned after art her grandmother did.
Check out Angelina's rendition of Billie Holiday's "Gloomy Sunday" when she was 7 years old on Norway's Got Talent. If I hadn't been WATCHING her sing it, I'd swear I was listening to Billie Holiday! You'll understand why she won that competition.

We have all been confused since she opened up her mouth and sang for us in 2014 - she was 7!!! - she was then as now "just something else" - I never have been a fan of children singers, but she has since she was 7 proved me wrong. But I think she is not exacetly the norm!

In an imaginative moment I likened Angelina to a chameleon, inasmuch as a chameleon adapts its colour to blend with the surroundings, so Angelina adapts the "colour" of her voice to convey the emotions of the song and communicate those emotions to the listener.
In the six years she has been singing publicly she has covered Adele, Whitney Houston, Nancy and Frank Sinatra, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Lana del Ray, Gloria Gaynor, Elvis Priestly, Louis Armstrong and many others. She takes ownership of every song she sings while still paying respect to the original. She never goes into unnecessary theatrics. Never sings those high or low notes unless they are absolutely necessary. Never projects herself in any performance which says "look how good I am". She just sings the song as she feels it is meant to be sung. In life she is a very shy and humble girl. On stage she is transformed into the perfect vehicle for the song she has chosen to sing.
I follow a number of young singers through UA-cam and do so because their singing appeals to my emotions but good as they are and as much as I admire them, there is not one of them who can match Angelina's sheer ability and artistry in being able to sing so many musical genre in what appears to be an effortless manner,

I love analogies so I enjoyed your restaurant analogy, leaving you wondering "HOW?!" I have one of my own... When the LSU Tigers won the National Championship in football recently, and the quarterback Joe Burrow captured the Heisman Trophy, those guys left no doubt about who was best in the land. I'm a little surprised no on has mentioned it yet. She allways performs barefoot. When she was six she was traveling in a poor country and saw a little girl with no shoes trying to make money by renting a bathroom scale. It was cold. Angulina talked to her and gave her shoes to her. She promised to remember her and performs barefoot to call attention to the desperately poor children in the world. She speaks English,and Persian in addition to her native Norwegian. I read recently that she speaks 4 languages but I don't know what the fourth is.
Her grandmother is a artist from Irian. She made her performance clothes herself using cloth patterned after art her grandmother did.

We have all been confused since she opened up her mouth and sang for us in 2014 - she was 7!!! - she was then as now "just something else" - I never have been a fan of children singers, but she has since she was 7 proved me wrong. But I think she is not exacetly the norm!
