Probability Comparison: Phobias and Fears

- From being afraid of spiders, balloons, doctors and clowns to being a Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia or an Anatidaephobia, we compare what people are scared off and the odds you watching may be frightened by them.
Disclaimer:
No official scientific sources exists for frequency of phobias. Probability videos on phobias that exists do not provide any sources. Therefore, cannot be used.
This video is a survey conducted by the UA-cam Channel Reigarw Comparisons from 7 to 10 March 2020.
The survey and all the responses can be found is here: • Post , the processing information can be found here: • Post .
The data is collected from over 13494 comment responses, processed, categorized and group together by data and text analytics.
This is done based on the frequency of words, and connecting words. Verbs, adjectives and other common words such as "You" are excluded. Words with a frequency of less than 0.1% (19 responses) are excluded unfortunately. Words such as "lol, lmao etc" are also excluded.
The associated phobia may or may not represent the actual fear present.
Several words such as "Deep, Sea, Thalassophobia, Ocean etc" are grouped as "fear of the depth". and "Social, Anxiety, Embarassment, Crowd, Shame etc" are group as "fear of socializing"
The methodology of the survey is susceptible to underestimation, words incorrectly grouped and misrepresentation of a small group of UA-cam audiences as opposed to the general population.
The research is not academically viable, proven or cannot hold any claim outside of for the viewers of the channel. It is only for entertainment and self information purpose for viewers of this channel.

When i was 10 yrs old, a super typhoon struck our hometown at night. Lights started to blink, my nonamophobia was triggered (fear of blackouts at night) . I was scared to even walk around one single inch around the house by myself. Once i was under the eye of the typhoon, it became dead silent, which triggered another phobia, sedatephobia (fear of silence in the dark). I was terrified because two phobias were thrashing negative effects at the same time. And until this day, i still have a slice of both phobias, heck even when i turn off that noisy fan in the room, and when it goes dead silent, i get uncomfortable quickly, and turn the fan on again. And there was also a time where the lights and the noisy fan was on, and a blackout occurred in the middle of the day, i quickly went to the living room because its brighter there. And i hope a blackout with dead silence happens again.
I'm afraid of both of those.

My phobia is melissephobia, which is the fear of bees (ik i may have spelled it wrong but if I try to look it up it shows me pictures of bees). I also have the fear of glitches, and possibly thalassaphobia.
The bees one is the worst though. It makes me anxious even typing the word "bees" out. It's only a couple days after Christmas and I'm already dreading spring and summer. I'm gonna be scared every time I go outside again. I wanna just go outside and relax and feel the sun on me but I'm too scared and anxious.

Ostraconophobia is the rarest phobia I have, fear of crabs😭
I have a major fear of spiders and one time there was a little spider that somehow managed to get in my bedroom. It was on the wall near my bed and when I saw it I started to hyperventilate because I was starting to panic. My cat however decided to smack the spider so it got on my bed anyway, and that’s when I completely freaked out. I immediately went into the bathroom to get a paper towel but I was still scared and breathing like crazy because that thing moves fast as hell. I had to get one of my stuffed animals to do the job; I wanted to make the spider get on the stuffed animal so I could grab it with the toilet paper. I eventually did get the spider on the plush so I immediately grabbed it and flushed it down the toilet while my eyes were covered with tears and my hands shaking like crazy. After that I looked around my room a couple times to double check of there weren’t any spiders, then I slowly started to get on my bed trying to repeatedly tell myself there weren’t any spiders so I could calm down. Took me a lot of time before I could finally sit down in my bed, since I was scared shitless over a tiny, fast-moving spider. And then I sprayed a bunch of scented lavender around my room.

If you have dyslexia it is quite a rational fear since it is like the words are jumping around. The longer the word, the harder it gets to read.

Fear of death - you really need a reason?
Fear of losing loved ones - I feel like I wouldnt be protected or have anybody to talk with when losing loved ones
Fear of snakes - I feel like their venom can poison me
Fear of losing phone - only when you have phone, you are enable to call emergency services when you're in dangerous situations, otherwise you will have no help during these difficult tiimes
Fear of murderers - Again, do you really need a reason? they literally kill for a living
Fear of being trapped - Imagine being stuck in a particular place forever, won't you have fear??
Fear of rats - I have a fear that they give rabies

I can help a bit with the fear of snake (I also had the Ophidiophobia when I was younger), if you face snakes in your everyday life (Maybe getting a pet snake? I don't really know what to do because your also scared of cats), when I was younger, my kittens would bring back snakes when they went out, the snakes can range from dying, dead, alive, or fainted, the first time they did that I nearly fainted, but as time passes by, I started to become immune to Ophidiophobia, since I dealt with the snakes they bring home everyday, it took me about 7 month to grow immune. Actually that method can also make you immune to other phobias by facing them daily or dealing with them everyday, that includes cats and dogs. But I would suggest you not to try to cure the fear of rats with that method, because it's pretty gross to me.

Just to share some knowledge, just fearing demons doesn’t mean you have the phobia. It’s pretty normal. The actual phobia is when you always stay afraid that a demon might show up any moment while staying alone, you even get afraid when someone bring the word 'demon', and if you see one in movies, you are gonna be extremely scared. That's how real phobia works.

i have a oddly severe fear of bicycles. not the reassurable one, the "IM NOT EVEN TRYING" kind of fear.
i obtained it when i was 9 after severely scraping my knee. that was all that was needed to kickstart my severe cyclophobia.

Actually the syndrome is just the fear of extreme insecurity, like always having a feeling of someone watching them. For instance, have you ever had a sudden sense where you felt someone looking at you out of nowhere? That's how people with that phobia feels, but it's constantly sensed
