I actually have a weird one i suffer from. Fear of plastic buttons. That means I have a a really hard time wearing shirts, suits, etc making life quite hard sometimes...

So true, but there are some phobias which lead to social isolation. Such as the phobic version of ARFID; Avoidance Restrictive Food Intake Disorder. The phobic variant comes when you've had a bad experience, and then compartmentalise the phobia. Like when I was 2 I ate a banana and threw up, and I have sensory issues and broccoli always used to make me puke and I had to swallow it with Sprite. Created a phobia of most foods apart from meat and carbs and desserts, which wasn't solved til I had hypnotherapy last year.
I had to take food wirh me to taste, and I ate half a banana no problem after 20 years of having a fear of it, as well as raw peppers, avocado, feta, cucumber, and salad leaves. Did I like them? Not all of them. But I could eat them without the fear.

Nomophobia makes sense to me tbh. All of our banking info, personal content, etc could be at risk if our phone isn’t on our person. It is a cause for panic.

I’ve always had the fear of looking up in a building that’s really tall and a high ceiling.

I'm a trypophobe. This is the fear of dots and circles in small clusters.
I'm not really afraid of it, it just really grosses me out. Just thinking about it is making me uncomfortable and itchy.
I guess I have a problem with it because it reminds me of unnatural epidermal appearances, like melting skin, hives, and other rashes.

Let me tell you my story..
My brother discovered about this phobia in a video which showed a trypophobic image.. and he later came to me and showed and asked if I felt anything.!!
And guess what
I couldn't sleep that night
It started itching and where ever I look I only thought about it and anxiety for months..
It's been 2 years!

I have Podophobia: The Fear Of Feet. Yes, the things you walk with. I always wear socks, no matter what (unless I’m in the shower). I have even gone far to wear swimming shoes whenever I go swimming, which is another problem since I see a lot of feet there. Even just seeing the word gives me an angry reaction, which is typically what I get when I see feet.

That sounds serious for a phobia, if it gets in the way of your everyday life, you need to get it checked out.
I have this as well. Quite badly. If someone is wearing sandals or barefooted, I do anything I can to try and avoid having them in my sight.
I am phobic with heights, water (specifically be immersed, I’m fine with a shower though), and sharks.

I have a fear of me elbows and knees being touched. I dread the thought of it and makes me squirmy. It also angers me when someone does it. Like irrationally angry.

Blitz Storm I just told you that this phobia does exist, and it’s called The Fanaphobia, Fana in Greek is the fan and phobia is an excessive fear. And it’s fear of fans ( as well as other things that hang onto the ceiling ) falling when they are on.
My oldest son had something like that when he was young. I guess hes outgrown it. 🤷♀️
He called them 'beckles' (like 'buckles').
It included buttons of any kind, zippers and even drawstrings...
i have a weird fear since the first day after i "lost memory before being 7" (or younger)
i'm afraid of "simply purposely falling asleep just like normal people does" , there are no reasons why , but that "time of 2 days i experienced 2 sleep paralysis each days where i can't breathe" is definitely not a reason of that , i'm not afraid of that sleep paralysis suffocation anymore , i will just keep my eyes open until i naturally fall asleep at midnight , don't worry , i'm ok with it , i mostly wake up at 8 to 9 am , sometimes oftenly 7 am

“When you were a baby you actually loved water. Until your other grandma took care of you without permission, she kept pouring water until you drowned. After, when i came home you Vomited soap and water.” Right now, im trying to overcome that phobia, and i did.

I can fully understand you. I was really afraid of shampoo when I was little. It was partly because of that my parents held me when I was showering so I couldn’t move wich resulted in me getting a lot of shampoo and water in my eyes.
I had a bad fall, resulting in a back injury when I was five, and had acrophobia for years. When I was 12-13 I was publicly humiliated by my phobia, and decided then to start desensitizing myself to heights. At the time, even being 5-10 feet off the ground (the height I was when I fell) was nauseating. By the time I was 20 I could handle 30 feet. I’m still a little weary, but I don’t panic on planes anymore, and have a general control over it.
Another fear I have is astraphobia, fear of lightning. This was mostly a generational trauma, because my late mother was afraid of thunder, her parents were afraid, and so on. When I was a kid, my mom made such a fuss about getting baths done ASAP on nights thunderstorms were forecast, and we had to stay in the middle of the rooms and play board games/read books during day storms. (She told me the tv would explode if we tried watching during a thunderstorm) her panic, made me panic, and as a young adult I would unplug everything and cover sockets in my apartment during thunderstorms and have a meltdown when it was storming on days I had to travel to or from home in a storm. (Was driving with a friend, and had a panic attack while driving when I saw lightning streak across the sky). My dad had me try to desensitize myself to this to the point that I don’t unplug everything in my apartment anymore, but still weary on the road.
As for my mom and her parents, my dad explained that the farmhouse, that has been in my mother’s family for generations, was built on land rich in copper, was grounded incorrectly when electricity was added, my mother used an out-house until she was 15, and her town was so small that the fire department was smaller, and a house catching fire to lightning was doomed in the 50s-60s. All these factors, he explained, is why my mother was so terrified. This did help me start to work on my astraphobia.
i have nyctophobia, i get into a panic attack when i get into the dark for too long, and generaly like to avoid the darkness, though it is commonly mistaken for the fear of what is in the dark that i can't see, this is not the case, as it can be just dark enough that i can still see things around me but i still get a panic attack.

I have Xanthophobia, the fear of the colour yellow.
It was caused by picking up a yellow mini golf club as a child which was COVERED in little black bugs. Then I noticed everything yellow in sight was also covered in them and I freaked out.
I never wear yellow and during the summer I avoid the colour as much as possible. If I have to get into a yellow car I cover every inch of skin and wear glasses, put earbuds in, wear a scarf over my face, a hat, wear gloves, incase the bugs (which most likely aren’t even there) touch me.
I have strange random fears. Large, open tanks of water like aquariums make me uneasy and give me nightmares of being trapped in one. I am scared of being electrocuted so I won't do anything like jumpstart a car battery or remove a wall socket plate. I have an uneasy feeling just plugging something into an outlet. large open sky makes me uneasy. i prefer having something blocking it like trees or buildings. and I refuse to swim in clear ocean or deep water. It needs to be murky so I can be fooled to think if I can't see something like a shark, then it isn't there.
I electrocuted myself with a lamp at a hotel once 😊

when i was young, when i first got an ipod, i had nomophobia. I used to be absolutely ADDICTED to my phone. Id be scared of being disconnected from the internet, missing everything thats going on. But as i grew up, I realized that the most fun you can have usually doesnt need a phone at all (besides occasional pictures)
I have Circentamaphobia. The fear of revolving doors. Every time I see one I stop, I just imagine being caught between them and being squished to death or stuck in them and they stop moving.
I used to have full panic attacks at seeing them. I've worked up walking through them but only slower spinning doors. I still avoid using them whenever possible.

I got one i'm pretty sure, its the one about being afraid of seeing huge man-made objects/machines in deep waters. Like I get a weird feeling/tingle when seeing images of the Titanic or its boilers on the seafloor
This is somewhat related to one of my phobias, thalassophobia. But your phobia is called Submechanophobia. It’s a really interesting one
I’ve got a ton of fears, but one of my big ones if embarrassing myself. Especially when like I’m public speaking and I don’t know what to say, or I’m making a fool of myself. Also whenever people insult me, I can never insult back, making me scared bc I’m embarrassing myself 🤷🏻♀️

My main phobia is Athazagoraphobia
Basically I have a fear of being ignored or forgotten.
This mainly means for me that I am scared of people not finding any purpose in me anymore, not wanting me anymore, overall forgetting about me, etc. This stems from friendships where I felt I wasn’t close enough to the person because they forgot of me or something else.

I have very severe methyphobia (fear of alcohol or being an alcoholic) and was recently diagnosed with agoraphobia (fear of open spaces or outside).

I have a weird fear. It’s not really a phobia but just a dumb fear I have from when I was a kid. Once I played tug of war when I was in elementary school. It was my class vs a class a year older than us. During the game, me and someone else launched forward and scarped most of our joints (knees, elbows, fingers, feet) on that special pavement they put in schoolyards to make it safe. Y’know that kind where it’s cement or concrete or whatever but they mix in rocks and pebbles? Yeah that. So we ended up not being able to go up or down stairs for a month of bend our knees or elbows for about 3 weeks. It hurt a lot and was not fun. Now whenever I look at a rope I think of tug of war. Childhood memories :)
I have a phobia of vomiting called emetophobia. Weird ain't it? Like, if I feel like vomiting or think I might vomit, I cry and have a mental breakdown but I've never gone to the extend of a panic attack. But I feel nauseous and dizzy to the point I just want to fall asleep. No one knows I have this phobia.

I have mottlephobia (either that or the butterfly phobia), acrophobia and monophobia mixed with sedatephobia. Being alone, and then the absolute silence. I always want to cry when I think of that. I had a fear of blood when I was younger, but I've grown out of that now. I don't like loud noises, like fireworks. I might be scared of angry people who yell at me, too.

I have 2 phobias the first one is the fear of underwater plants or things that look like underwater plants. More specifically touching them. When I do I get so scared I almost drowned on modulable occasions so four me it is hard to go and swim in a lake. The 2 one is the fear of dogs more not their appetence but their barking. It's because of a traumatic event.
Phonophobia or fear of loud sounds or objects/people that produce them. I have hyperacusis so loud and high pitched sounds feel like someone stabbing a knife in my ear. If I see a toddler or a balloon, I get an anxiety attack even before the loud sound happens.
I'm not scared of the dark I'm scared of what could be in it. 😲😲😲😲

What about the fear of an automobile breaking down (what some might call auto anxiety)? I have that. But in my case I would classify it as some type of phobia because when it happened recently in one of my parents vehicles (I was a passenger), well that “anxiety” boiled over into anger. And we all know that fear boils over into anger far more than anxiety.
For some reason, I have always been uncomfortable with wrists. Each time I see it, I feel extremely scared for some reason. I would stay awake, unable to sleep at I remember the image of a wrist. I used to cry each time I see a vein clearly…. I now have habit of bending my wrist inward.

I'm not afraid of losing my phone. In fact, were it not for the fact that I need it for work, I could go weeks at a time without ever using my phone. My biggest concern when I lose my phone is that I won't be able to communicate with my boss, or that my dog might have gotten to it and chewed it to pieces.
Can’t remember the exact name but I suffer from a fear of crowds. I’m alright in small groups of 2 or 3 but any higher and my heart starts to beat faster, I start to feel dizzy and then I back away. Sometimes I stay in the group just to talk but then when my dizziness gets worse I walk off.

so..I went to my cousins house and my flip flops broke and were not wearable anymore so they went out to a shop nearby and bought me some new ones BUT they had these tiny holes on the surface of them I had to wear them for 6hours straight YUCK!
I have textophobia. (The fear of certain materials.) but mines a wired one. I can’t touch felt. It freaks me out. But it gets really bad if it’s felt other people have touched. I just start crying if I come in contact with it.

I have the one about holes. Although I personally don’t feel fear I just feel really uneasy and sometimes itchy. I also have a fear of heights but it’s inconsistent. And sometimes I’m more scared than others, ironically I enjoy being high up, just not of it doesn’t feel completely safe.
