I found one of the limited edition bf-109 prints signed by Adolf Galland in a thrift store in Marietta, Georgia for $20 last year. The bad thing is that when I took the price sticker off of it, I could see they had it priced even lower the week before!
I live in the states next to an old active military base where there's a steady flow of bring-backs everywhere. I went into an old antique shop and asked the owner if they had military stuff. This old lady grabbed a ww2 EKII from behind the counter and sold it to me for 50$, probably the best find I've had in the wild ever.
Just subbed, already knew you from Nick videos but didn’t know you had your own channel. Would love to see more of these sort of videos or videos what you personally buy at these markets
The K98k bayonet is actually a Sg84/98 II not a III, it's from the first world war. The other one is a Belgian M1916. I mostly get my stuff from fleamarkets too, I always love rummaging through them. You can find amazing stuff for very good prizes.
On german television they once showed an old report from 1950 about tourism to the Berghof. You could see that there was even a small stall where they sold these postcards, beer and other things.People then sat by the ruins eating something, taking a piece of the Berghof ruins as a souvenir and having a good time. And these souvenir sellers were able to make a good living from tourism after the war.Back then, people didn't see it so critically. And i think old grenade shells are nice. But very expensive if you want to complete them with the deactivated parts today.I will not pay 200 euro or more for the rusty top part of a 8,8cm Flak shell.Even for the case that i could buy it.
As a tip for you, Royal Tiger Imports in Florida, USA, has original German WW2 leather ammunition pouches, rifle cleaning rods and rifle front sight hoods for sale. These are from a large quantity of German World War II equipment that the East German Government gave or sold to Ethiopia. It has now been bought from the Ethiopian government by Royal Tiger Imports and shipped to the US. There are also Lugers and KAR98’s but of course you can’t buy one for shipment to Belgium.
I reguarly go to my local flea market in the states and my favorite find is a ww2 post card hand written in 1942 from northfolk Virginia i payed a dollar for it and i can assure you its not a replica
The italian helmet has a postwar liner, postwar british style chinstrap, postwar rivets and postwar paint job (not graygreen, grigioverde, as it should). Most 33s were routinely refitted postwar at intervals, only shells are original ww2. Finding one with its prewar liner, rivets, leather chnstrap and paintjob intact is very difficult. A NATO era 33 can be bought for a pittance in Italy
And for a horrific price of 90 euros. My experience buying militaria from flea markets in western Europe have always been people having a lot of stuff and no idea what it's worth, but they think it's worth a lot and ask a lot for it.
for me as a collector flea markets are good for smaler items or personal stuff of the period, if your ooking for top notch stuff the chance wil always be quite low to find it on flea markets , great video tho
@@seppehens8459 thanks! though i agree, this fleamarket kn particular is a 100% guarantee hit on helmets of all nations of the war, certainly in summer. then there are litteral militaria only vendors there as well

thats great, bad thing: im from brazil. you know when i get passport i will do ww2 reenactment at uk. in here brazil our economy is shit, and taxes are extremely high. so imagine i will an stalhelm or a m1 helment, its alwast 200 plus reais, with taxes its going up to 150-300 reais and if theres fees for transporting depending on the region it goes up to 300 reais. so imagine me trying to buy and ww2 equipment for reenacting. it easily goes above 2-1 thousand reais buying basic things like uniforms, insignias, helments and etc
@ 🤔Reflecting on this my now deceased brother in law had an uncle who was a British Commando in World War Two. Supposedly these two medals came off the body of a dead German soldier. My brother in law had no interest in these items so they were passed on to me by his wife, my now deceased sister. I wish now i had made more inquiries about them. I have them now in my World War Two display and i am respectful of them.
It's all very well having lots of militaria at a flea market, but if you dont buy any of it it tells me prices were no different to a standard militaria fair, therefore no bargains.
@@militarycollectables3945 i will tell you. i bought 2 perfect solid germanhelmet shells for restauration (m35 en m18) for just 70 together at this market before. and countless other things. this vid is more to display how much stuff i can find thats wartime. a bargain, well just take my word for it. i go here almost weekly.
Before 1934 there was just an eagle and a church on German coins (Two small swastikas on the same side as the eagle were added in 1934). From 1935 to 1936, coins with Paul von Hindenburg and an eagle (without a swastika) were manufactured. In 1936, all manufacturing sites started to produce coins portrayingPaul von Hindenburg on the one side and an eagle sitting on a swastika on the other one.
