My sister is moving to Minnesota (land of 10,000 lakes) in a few months. If I change the blue to green ( her favorite color) I think she will really LOVE it. I have finished the quilt top itself and I am waiting on the backing to come in. This one has turned into one of the best I have made. Simple and elegant. May 2021 When I gave this quilt to my sister she cried. Her husband has promised her a display wall in her new home. It will be the first one up. Thank you
Jenny, you look beautiful. Well done for loosing weight. Love from a Lady in Wales, UK. I met you in Birmingham at Festival of Quilts. I was so touched and crying when you put your arm around me. Stay safe Jenny and Team. 🙋♀️😘🇩🇪🏴🇬🇧
I met Jenny in her hometown of Hamilton, Missouri. I burst into tears when I met her and she gave me a hug! She also introduced me to her daughter Sarah. My husband and I had driven 12 hours from our home in Ohio to visit all of Jenny's shops. So much fun for BOTH of us! I make the quilts and my husband restores vintage sewing machines.
Love the "Color of the Year"! Another quilt to add to my ever growing list of quilts to make. I need to get faster. Right now I'm at one quilt a month! Lol!
I have not picked out a new quilt pattern in a while, I spent almost 2 yrs making masks and then making bags/purses to celebrate a change, but this quilt make me itchy itchy like gotta get back to it. thank you Jenny
Ohhh, I've been waiting. I bought 3 yards of this gorgeous fabric last month and didn't know what I would do with it. Now I know. Going to get a couple more yards so I can make this. I love it.
Yes, have a block and FOLLOW IT! I did that on a lap quilt. Retirement gift for our pastor. Unfortunately, I did the first one wrong. It was supposed to be Jacob’s Ladder, but it wasn’t. Ended up with “arrowheads” spinning around. So I called it A New Direction!!!
This two-color quilt IS beautiful, and the new Tip on cutting 16 HST's is genius, but the thing that Really caught my eye was your New Intro!!! Love it!!!! It is so updated and just looks Great!! Not only are You a Fantastic mentor to us "improving" quilters, but your Team of videographers present You to us in a Fantastic fashionable way too!!! Thank you Jenny and Team!!!! Love going back through the years and watch how much the videos, and You (confidence in front of the camera) have changed!!! God has truly given us an inspiration, in You! 💖🙏🏼
Finally Kona got it right usually I don't like their color of the year ! This my favorite color and this pattern is going to a must to make, I love old patterns !
Oh Jenny you are a treasure!! you really are. I absolutely love this pattern, and sooooo appreciate learning your technique, the 'easy 16' method. thank you
A perfectly beautiful quilt for us here in Minnesota, the Land of 10,000 (+) lakes. This blue is soft and lovely but any color to fit your mood would work! Love this quilt pattern and color!
Thank you for making 'being friends with my seamripper' feel ok! I am inspired to try this. It doesn't feel that hard when Jenny tells us how to do it, one step at a time!!!😉😃😃❤
The color looks like Famous Tiffany Blue. When I see this color I think of my friend Banita who love Tiffany Blue. Another mutual friend & I taught her to quilt & she feel in love with quilting. She got to make several quilts for her children before she died suddenly from cancer a few years ago
I love this pattern. It made up so beautiful in the blue! So many quilts to make so little time! Jenny Doan you are awesome! I cannot thank you enough for imparting your love of quilting to us all! I never knew how little I knew - thank you for making this a joy for me!
The new color is so soothing. I have always wanted to make a two color quilt. This is great! Thanks so much. God bless. You look great, by the way. 👏🏻💕👏🏻
That is a great idea. One of my mom's older friends had a hand crocheted tablecloth that her mother-in-law gave her. Forty or fifty years later, my sister mended it. The maker had given the instructions and some of the original thread with the tablecloth. My clever sis fixed it up, good as new for the next couple of generations.
This is beautiful, I love the traditional pattern and the blue is so bright. Because we are living at a lake, it might be a perfect pattern for me 😉 thank you Jenny for this great video, I love the way to make 16 triangles so easy 👍
Newbie here, I've just started on my first quilt, half hexi braid, love, love, love this quilt. Yet another to add to my ever growing to do list. Thank you Jenny x
16 HST’s!! I’m in Heaven! Love everything about this quilt! Thank you Jenny. I had lost my mojo over these winter months and this has inspired me to finally uncover my sewing machine. ❤️
Are you just going to keep losing weight until you disappear when you turn sideways? You look fabulous! Great inspiration. Also, when I make your quilts and there are those fairly big pieces left over, I figure out how to sew them into the borders. I made the tiny house quilt that you explained about two years ago and made tiny little quarter square triangles and sewed then end to end. It was a great little border sandwiched between white. Love you guys!!!
When I first saw the thumbnail I thought this was a gigundous pineapple, but after seeing the single block I went, "Oh yeah! I've seen that block!" What a great idea.
Genius. I’m a new quilter and you just make everything possible Jenny. Thank you so much. If we can make one half square triangle the quilting possibilities seem endless! 🏆👏🤗
Thank you Ms Jenny! I think this is my new project! I’m still a newbie. Started quilting while in quarantine and now i can’t stop! I’ve totally drank the cool aid! 😉 Your channel has really taught me so much. I was a total novice and now i’m ready to upgrade my sewing machine!! Thank you and your team! ❤️❤️
Lovely colour, the quilt pattern is fantastic. I also really like how this video shows the fabric, recommended tools and all the fabric quantities to finish the quilt!
I love this color! The only Kona color of the year that caught my attention. All the others I’ve seen have just been okay. I great big ho-hum. Horizon on the other hand. Yippee!
The Lady of the Lake pattern is such a beautiful pattern and has been on my to make list for a while but up until now the idea of making all those half square triangles really gave me pause. The idea of making 16 at a time is awesome! I have a couple of patterns with slightly different layouts that are so beautiful & You can bet I'll be making them using this method. I also love the slotted trimmers as they make squaring up a breeze! Once again You have taken a classic pattern and given it fresh new appeal and You made it with precuts and You made it easy! Thank You :)
I absolutely love this quilt. You're right, at first glance it looks like a pineapple quilt. This is such a much easier way to make it! And thanks for the new technique making 16 HSTs
Do you all make up your own quilt patterns? Wish you'd have on line classes on them with cutting instructions so we could print them off and follow them with you. Love you jenny.

You are great at having little waste, but I have always given my quilts with a matching bag of scraps for future mending. Just a thought.
