It's videos like this that present a solid methodical approach without the snobbish gatekeeping like my LQS that reminds me this is absolutely doable and reminds me why I enjoy sewing. 🙌
I have a puff quilt that was made for me when I was a baby. 1973 The lady that made it was in her 80s and used old pantyhose for the stuffing and was hand sewn.
You are a very smart young lady, the patterns for each of your project were straight forward and easy to follow... I have subscribed to your channel to see more of your talent and awesome patterns... Good job girl...
Hello there Kate! YT recommended your channel. What caught my eye was "charm packs". I love precuts. You are a great teacher. I plan on making all 4 of these projects. fyi I subscribed and liked your tutorial. All my best!
I love this!!! I just bought a bunch of fat quarters and started a 2.5" strip quilt-- but I'm going to get some charms today because this is soooo cute!! The Puff Quilt.
I made a couple of queen size Puff Quilts back in the late 90’s. That was so much work! I want to make a new now! I used to work in a sewing factory and we did no use “pins”! Ever! Now I never see with them. I would not have had the patience to sew one of these, while also pinning! Sorry! You did an amazing job!!! For your Cricut users, I use the spray to restick my mats. Great projects. My cat would love a puff quilt. Please don't sew over pins. It could cause the timing to be 'off' on your machine. I have had needles break and hit my face.
It's a good machine and not insanely expensive. After about 3 years I am starting to have tension issues, I may just need a tune up. It also takes a while to turn on the software and the bobbin thing beeps at me way before my bobbin is out. Otherwise, I like how simple it is to find different stitches and adjust them. I love the look of it and it's a solid machine!
Love your puff quilt but am not a needle and thread sewing person😂. Do you think it’s possible to quilt this with a machine and put binding on with a machine? I’d love to make one if so.
Yes you can definitely do this all by machine. Just be sure you don't overstuff the puffs so you can maneuver your machine through the rows. Machine binding will also work!
I just love all the projects that you made with a charm packs awesome job thanks so much for sharing, The only thing I had a problem with is trying to get your pattern he said it was free and I was having a problem even retrieving it❣️✂️🪡🧵💓💗💖❤️

So glad you didn't show every little repetitive step. Clear, concise and quick. Thanks.
Does the spray adhesive wash out?
Yes it does!

That sounds like a really cool quilt - I want to make a bigger one! I agree, pins get finicky after a while! Thanks for the Cricut tip!!
I wanted to send the bucket to my own printer but couldn't figure out how to do it from the way you listed the instructions...enjoyed your tutorial❤
The templates are pretty simple to print but it is harder to get the full instructions - you can find it as a PDF in my etsy shop though. Thank you!!
I can’t get past the fact that you cut toward yourself. Cute pillow.
Very nice ❤
Thanks 🤗
Great video! Thank you!
Glad you liked it!
Hello, I am a new subscriber. I am a quilter, project maker and embroider.
Welcome!!
Cute😊

You're welcome 😊
Thank you very much.

Good advice, it's a bad habit!! :)
This is such a great video! Was the puff quilt made using scraps from different fabric lines?
Lovely projects, thanks!
Yes it was! You can easily make it with charm packs, too. I just found all my pink scraps/small cuts and made them into my own 5" squares!
I love your puff quilt method!
Thanks!
How do you like your bernette machine?

@@seekatesewchange bobbin warning beep in settings.
Could you sew stuffed and next strip down at the same time?
Would this save sewing time?
Yes you can definitely do it that way! It's a little bit trickier without the puff closed but definitely doable!

@@seekatesewthank you so much for the quick reply, I appreciate it and will be making this!!!
Can this be made for a queen size bed
Yes! You can add more rows to make it any size you want!
Where do you get the charm square packs
You can get them at most small quilt shops or online fabric shops. Amazon also has them!
I find charm squares are often a scant 5”….hard to get 2.5” squares…
You could use jelly rolls and cut squares
True- sometimes the 5" includes the pinked edges so you have to be aware of that!
Cute ideas. But I must ask..WHAT is the black streaks on your eyes? Did you get hurt? Sorry, it's just so strange looking....
I went to sign up for your email letter it's not there😢
Thanks, I will look into it! If you download a free pattern on my site, you'll be added to the newsletter.
@@seekatesew ok
What about tutorials using yardage, not all of us out here likes precuts.
I love yardage, too! Check out my other videos :)
😂please don't cut towards yourself
Watch at 2x. still very slow at that speed
Your video may be good but your web site to get the zipper pouch pattern well let’s just say it’s not at all easy download
Were you able to find it? You can also buy it on Etsy
Please Cut AWAY from you NOT TOWARD you!!!😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
You should be cutting AWAY from you, not towards yourself.
OMG! Do not watch Melody of Sewing. It will make you crazy. She has some sort of problem with her arm and can't cut by pushing away from herself. 😂
Haha I usually don't my rotary cutter was being weird! Thanks for the good reminder though
Stop telling ADULTS how to live their lives!
Four lovely projects, and you comment on cutting technique 🙄
@@gill5733it may not have been a mean girl - she may truly care about Kate’s safety😊
NEVER cut towards yourself…this shows me you are NOT an experienced quilter…nor are you very smart…
That is an unkind and inane comment. Is that truly the person you wish to be?
No, it doesn't. Just shows how rude you are to people who don't do things your way, even if there may be a valid reason why they don't..
I just love all the projects that you made with a charm packs awesome job thanks so much for sharing, The only thing I had a problem with is trying to get your pattern he said it was free and I was having a problem even retrieving it❣️✂️🪡🧵💓💗💖❤️
