Fantastic musical jewel by Telemann. Never heard it before and I just love it. The musicians are superb. They all bring so much joy to this masterful Burlesque piece. Tusen takk!

Many orchestras appear almost anesthetized, the musicians appearing like they're sleep-walking through the performance. NOT THESE MUSICIANS! Their enthusiasm is palpable, and infectious. They're also highly skilled. I'm shocked they don't have MILLIONS of subscribers. One of the (unfortunately) best kept secrets on UA-cam.

Vous avez entièrement raison, enfin des musiciens qui ne s'ennuient pas et qui jouent à la perfection.

I am late to THIS party but thankfully not TOO late! Fabulous!! (Was doing research on the connection between baroque and klezmer, a genre that Telemann totally loved. Clearly, he showed his great ability to inspire fury and what he called "Barbaric Beauty" of the klezmer!)

I guess that's Terje Tønnesen conducting from the first chair. I like how he does it.

I was intrigued by the visual touch of all players in black except one violist, wearing red. Can anybody who knows it explain?

I don't know. It's a good question, and now I'm curious, too. Other musicians are also wearing red as though it is a common accent. One is wearing red shoes, another a red flower in her hair, and another is wearing a red camisole under a black cardigan.

They can wear a touch of red its optional. That girl just chose to wear a whole shirt thats all.

I think the interpretation at the beginning of the overture was a bit too much, it felt hard enough to follow metrically. Although, that might be accurate 🤷‍♂️ because the baroques were definitely drinking lead water lol
