Hey Kristen, it's always so wonderful to hear from you! I'm so happy you liked our first vid, we're trying to keep them breezy for now. It's been alot of fun to just pal around and film our days. Thankfully Nate knows how to edit, otherwise if it was up to me it would just be clip after clip of puppies I pass on the street, cats in windows, and slow-mo shots of snails. :) But honestly thanks for the kind words, I'm SO happy we had a chance to meet and be a part of eachother's journey. Hopefully one day, we'll get a chance to paint together again! And Happy almost anniversary to you too!! Awe, thanks Carole!! It's been alot of fun to have a whole new reason to get out and paint. We've been inching our way back into society slowly, so I hope we get to start traveling more! That's the plan at least, so we'll cross our fingers and see how it goes. :)
super interesting seeing the two different stlyes, loved the warmth and colours lindsey put in but also loved nates more natural subdued green's cant decide which i prefer!

What a great little painting. Amazing. Loving watching you guys paint the city I called home for 6 years. You should head up to the Lake District for some amazing landscape scenes, there are more incredible possibilities up here than you'd have time to paint. I'd love to see how you see it too.

Thanks! Yeah the notes on the easel are just notes/things to think about when painting outside.

Nate, may I ask about brand name or where to obtain your panel holder, it seems very lightweight & effective? You both really paint well!
We have a Raymar wet panel carrier. It’s very lightweight and we love it. This one is a 11x14 panel holder.

Love watching you guys. Can I ask what color do you use to sketch out your painting and also, do you use a fast drying medium at all? I love the way you use the palette knife. I need to try that.
Lindsey, thank you guys for sharing. May I ask what kind of palette knife you’re using at 4:20? It’s hard to really tell but it looks like it has sort of jagged edges? I love the way you use it to make the textured grass marks.

Yes we have the Strada and Daytripper easel. Love them both!
Also a very safe place for solo female travelers. You don’t have to worry about Dick Blick’s.
Lindsey... Do you use brushes?
Now I see brush at 5:29... Still it is so cool to see you using palette knife.
@@michaelbuchanan3212 Thanks Michael! I use a little bit of everything, but palette knife is definitely my go-to tool for plein air painting. It gets the paint on quick and with lots of organic texture which helps me achieve a bit of detail without having to actually paint the detail. But each palette knife has it's own level of control, so they definitely take practice. But it's alot of fun!
Is there a name for your style?
That’s a really good question. Honestly I am not sure. I think it’s representational realism, but also a bit impressionist. There probably is a name for it that I’m not aware of
