Great work Peter Chan. Learned something today - "Oil on top of acrylic and not acrylic on top of oil." Cool Strada easel. Wish to have one someday, too! Thanks for this Bobby Chiu.
Hey there Bobby Chiu...great video...love the Strada too. Bought one last year...Suggestion...have you ever heard of Paul Fenniak? Artist from Montreal...If you like his stuff try to see if you can get him to do a demo or interview...Tough one as he is either very shy or reclusive or just does not like to give interviews? Did a good on at Lugana Art school in California. Thanks
I bought the same model last year, but don’t use it as often as I thought. It’s great for plein air painting, especially if you’re working in oil or acrylics. I mostly paint with watercolor, and made a lighter setup using a waterproof foam core board that I glued quick release plates to.
Beautiful work! It's crazy to me how some ppl are so good at matching colors and shapes!! Also, the light- and shadowwork around the hand + the shirt(and the rest of him😅) is amazingly executed! 🙏 Is there anything different to this painting than on the refference picture tho or is this "just" a photocopy? Would love to see you review some other products BTW ^_^ Especially "on the go"-products such as this one! If I didn't have a small wooden easel already I would def try this out :)
Cool painting. Just to note, I don't think painting the top of the palette is a good idea, for the sake of having a different tone/colour, that surface wouldn't last and would break up.
It's not ideal but Peter says if you put a few layers then it should be fine. He also said that a good idea would be to cut a wooden panel and paint that the color you want for your palette. That should work pretty well.
Thanks for the review! To learn more about the easel featured in the video go to: www.stradaeasel.com/collections/strada-easels/products/strada-mini
My pleasure! Hope you liked it!!
The contrast in the painting is astounding!
I love this Bobby. We need more of this ❤️

Awesome painting! Love that the guy looks a bit like a modern day older avatar the last airbender. :D also, does Peter have an instagram?
@Ash L. Thank you!
Paint manufacturer Golden advises to wait at least three days for a thin film of acrylic to dry before painting over it with oils.
Awesome! Thanks for the comment!
It looks wobbly
