It's funny that you said don't crank those phillips head screws down, because guess what happened to me today. I did my first oil change on my 2017 civic, and I couldn't get those damn phillips head screws out, and i ended up stripping them. The person at the dealership who did my last oil change must've cranked them down real good, and look what happened lol Edit: to get the screws out after stripping, I had to use vice grips, and basically destroyed the screw getting it off
The dealership did the same thing to this car. They actually stripped one out and never replaced it. There should be two screws and now there's only one. I'm just going to order two news ones since the only one screw is pretty stripped as well. Light hand tight is all they need!
