@@CoddiwompleOverland I'm less then an hour from the Iowa state line. This part of Missouri is basically flat with thousands of acres of corn, soybeans and cattle on fescue. Everything is on mile square grids with gravel roads, very few dirt roads even around here. The Ozarks are a few hours south. I used to live down there and even there there's not many trails like you all run. I get my off road fix watching you folks and a few other off-roading channels.
Yea we have sure missed Kelly on our last few trips. Hopefully he will be back with us soon, and not just to be the guinea pig! That river was a lot of fun, but too cold to swim
I did the Nemo Tunnel at night, by myself in my Rubicon Gladiator. I was on my way to the Kentucky Jeep Jamboree so I made camp just near the tunnel exit which was pretty amazing. The tunnel is definitely intimidating by your self at night.
Good video, I have never been to or heard of the Nem Tunnel. I really would like to do some more of this overlanding stuff. I have only done it three times out in and around Canyonlands National Park.

What do you use for your windshield camera mount? Also what are the specs on your rig? We have a Vector off road dash bar. The GoPro is mounted to it with a motor handlebar mount from Amazon. As far as the jeep goes, it is on a Clayton Off road 3.5 Overland plus lift, 37" Cooper STT Pros, EAG fenders, OVS Nomadic 3 RTT, OVS 270 awning, Teraflex Nebo roof rack DV8 bumpers, Smittybilt 10,000 winch.
Thank you. It depends, normally we run 4wd if it is soft and there is a possibility of tearing up the trail in 2wd or if its a trail the we are running less than 5-7 mph we will do in 4lo. We go to 4lo in these cases to keep from heating the transmission fluid up with torque converter slip. Other than that, its only when needed. Hope this helps.

There was a truck hit by a train that got stuck on the tracks. If you fast forward the link I posted above you will see the truck get hit. Also there has been a lot of people leaving trash everywhere. So they closed the area. Hope they reopen even if it was on a permit based.
Do you have a gpx file of the route? Would like to check out the bridge, tunnel, and go out the way beside the rocks (around 9:35 in the video) on the way out. Curious of how long of a ride it would be too. Thanks!
The coordinates for the tunnel is 36° 3.9998' N 84° 39.1197' W. once you go through the tunnel turn left and the trail will take you right back by the cliffs along the river. THe bridge is just past where you turn off to the tunnel. The tunnel loop is about a mile long.

I travel all those wma and have for years. I run a few different offroad routes from nemo (wartburg) all the way up past Manchester ky. Very little pavement and dispersed camping most of the way. I havent done much in catoosa yet but probably get down there this summer. Thanks for the video

Different places. Sometimes we find routes like the KAT or the SM1000. You can find the gpx files on their FB pages. You can also files gpx files on the website or app called All Trails. The other way is if you are going to a national forest, look at the MVUM maps. I hope this helps!

We love that tunnel, we go there every time we are at Windrock. There is also an abandoned train not far from there.
